Lee Hwan is the definition of a no-nonsense approach to standing above his hunter peers. Of all the protagonists on this list, Lee Hwan definitely pushes the plot forward without too much concern for the consequences of his actions (opposite of the calculating KDJ or lazy Zio). He's a little similar to SJW, but honestly less edgy and already the most powerful person in the universe from the start of the story.... more>>

an okay read, but you should binge it in one go so you don't think deeply about it. the fmc definitely pushes the plot forward,... more>> but it's one of those stories where everything works out in fmc's favor in an obvious way (no tension or things at stake). given the decade of the setting, it's very nationalistic about the cultural revolution period LOL. it's basically your typical villainess isekai but set during the cultural revolution. villainess humiliates her opponents through public opinion set in a vaguely european setting? that, but during PRC's cultural revolution. villainess begs her duke father to do stuff by crying about how weak she is? that, but saying "what would our neighbors think?" to her family members with high government positions. still tho, the 70s is an interesting time to write about for a web novel. the setting and world building felt solid in the historical context of the cultural revolution, if not a bit romanticized/dumbed down for plot. better than other CN stories that are vaguely modern/contemporary, and definitely better than stories that are vaguely about european nobility. <<less
