Might I suggest Happy Doomsday?
MC is the father of artificial intelligence and a certified sociopath, but gets shot and dumped into a vat of nano machine to be disassembled. Fast forward 15 years later or something like that, and the nano machines reassemble him into a post apocalyptic world where humans have become the research subjects for the machines and supposedly he's been leading the resistance against them?
