You're crazy if you read all 550+ chapters and side stories of ORV. Anyways, I loved the paradox and the open ending. 

Maybe it's because I was into K-Pop before I was into webtoons and manga, but this novel gives me the best of both worlds. 

Binged all 200+ episodes in three days… This has easily got to be my favorite read yet. The female lead, Daisy, also reminds of Dokja but with a little less brain and a bit more brawn. This story has such rich world building and I love the details between the characters; the banter between the FL and the ML, Daisy’s relationship with her comrades while living as Andert the war hero as well as with the employees of the Weatherwoods mansion, Daisy and Dian Cecht and how their story ties in together. I read this sometime around December last year, and it left quite an impact on me, so I don't know how the hell I managed to forget to add this to the list. Anyways, this novel is right up my alley. FL, after recollecting memories of her past life, doesn't magically acquire a whole new saintess/good girl persona, and instead, remains the hot, bad bit*h that she is (in my opinion, she had every right to be angry at her shitty family who puts her distant cousin first before their OWN f*ckING DAUGHTER/SISTER????). She just chooses to spend her life idyllically painting her old tragedies away with our lovely and adorable Mary at her side,... more>> despite the pathetic rats who keep sneaking and squeaking their way in her little world.

Also, fair warning, this book has undertones of depression, and understandably so, considering how much her own family and servants villainized her for standing up for herself (even though she went about it the wrong way. Which is sad because she never had anyone to direct her on the right path and it took her a near-death experience to realize that.)

P.S. I loved how the translator put a spin on the title and incorporated 'A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man', a novel which has several plot points that are kinda similar to what our FL went through. I thought it was brilliant and anyone who says otherwise shouldn't be trusted. <<less

On the other hand, jokes are sometimes at the expense of fatshaming and colorist remarks. Kaburagi and Enjou are annoying as hell. I have to say, one downside to this novel though, was how much the korean author was so far up their beauty standard's ass, that they kept enforcing the narrative that Aristine is this small, fragile, pale-skinned beauty that even Irugoans (tan/dark skin citizens of a so-called 'barbaric' nation, mind you) praised to high heavens. In real life, this is probably equivalent to POCs (specifically southeast asians and black people) being head over heels for a white person's 'white-ness'. Every time this happens in the novel, my eyes roll so far back behind my head I can see my own brain. <<less

There are some scenes (*cough* FL's attempts at flirting with ML *cough*) that make my hands and feet shrivel up in embarrassment but it's all in good humor. Bonus points because FL's relationship with her parents are wholesome and aren't the kind where you wish they'd burn in a ditch.
