The translation of the title is not very good, though 匠心 is a bit challenging to translate. What it really means, literally, is something like "The Heart of a Craftsman", but the word "heart" in Chinese also means mind or spirit. In context, I guess it means something like "The Soul of an Artist". It's similar to the word "inspiration" in English, or "genius", the idea that the ability to create is a divine gift.

I think the author explained the meaning of the title, but I can't find it at the moment. It's a bit strange because the chapter with the same title is about ML working on the cursed beachfront project. I think it refers to MC and ML's almost pure-hearted devotion to the company, leaving little room for anything else. In this sense, they are business "geniuses", but it is a kind of quasi-artistic genius, the genius of creation. Anyway, I will correct this if I have time to look through the novel for the author's explanation later. <<less

Lack of consent during s*x, a relationship that moves too fast (in 15 days, ML wants to share finances with MC and decides to make MC his child's other parent), outing someone publicly without permission (ML uses surveillance footage of MC interacting with his child during a livestreamed company presentation), ML trying to "fix" MC's severe OCD without professional medical advice, ML trusting MC with his 4 year old son despite MC being a total stranger who he hasn't even met, etc.

There are a bunch of other issues I have with this story, but these are the most obvious. Also, ML is supposed to be a mature and attractive dilf, but he's completely irresponsible (and I don't mean with his child, but in general). Other than a nice car and good looks, I don't think he's actually appealing. He doesn't have a sense of measure or a sense of boundaries.

The author also doesn't seem to understand how an*l s*x works, or at least I'm very skeptical about the description of how the ML is "both vigorous and considerate", leaving MC uninjured despite having forceful an*l s*x with him for the first time without any real preparation. <<less

MC suffers from main character syndrome and his actions don't really make sense in real life, but he's always right because the plot just bends around him. ML is this 18 year old kid who is in love with the domineering president, and of course, he's so pure and special... The author keeps going on and on about special MC is and how he works so much harder / is so much more talented than other actors. It's as if other actors just f*ck producers/directors all day and don't have to put any real effort into roles. None of the things he does... more>> to prepare are particularly special, so it's almost an insult to the reader's intelligence to act as if they are.

The romance is frankly really unconvincing and MC's only character trait is being a Nice Guy. I knew the story would be shitty once MC made his younger brother dye his hair. Once you get a plot device like that, you can basically tell the story is going to be stereotypical tr*sh. <<less

On top of that, every single other pairing in this story follows this rule, where it doesn't matter how bad or irresponsible you are or how much suffering you cause to other people, as long as you have "true love". And if you love your husband, you should die with him along with your son, even if he commits treason and participates in the slaughter and mass exodus of an entire city.
