Do not worry, I have read all of these either to near completion or TO completion so you can rest assured. I put them here with confidence.

Novels are slightly ranked. The only noteworthy rank you should be paying attention to is the novels on the very top and bottom of the list. Top meaning I love them to death, bottom meaning it's the novel I despise the most atm.

Note; don't worry! My list won't contain even a little bit of romance. Some might have some one sided love for the MC. You don't need to worry though, MC will not ever return feelings even at the end of the novel!

!WARNING!

Translator uses a lot of romaji. If you're new to JP novels or manga/anime, I suggest you don't read unless you're okay with getting occasional headaches. I'm p decent at JP so I don't really know how harsh that headache would be, but you're gonna see a lot of titles like "butler", "sister", etc in its romaji form. Be wary.

This story isn't the best written, nor is it the easiest to read, but it makes it all up by the uniqueness of the authors' view of reincarnation/transmigration stories.

The concept of this is just so good, I couldn't NOT read it. I'm also positive that there will be no romance because...

MC is a woman reincarnated/transmigrated in a middle aged man's body LMAO. She can't date women because she doesn't like them, and she can't date men because her body is that of a man. So no worries, absolutely no romance for her lmao. Can't say the same for supporting cast tho, there's a bunch of side couples building up, so be wary of that.

Let me tell you this, the main thing you should understand going into this is that this story is NOTHING without our MC. If this novel replaced the MC with a regular old ugly and insecure male otaku, I would 100% not read. But she isn't. She's a strong woman who, in her previous life, chased after her dream relentlessly and is filled with passion for life and confidence in herself. MC is one of the (if not, MOST) unique character I've EVER come across. The world is very standard fantasy, there isn't much action as MC mostly spends her time doing paperwork, political intrigue is barely there and the plot (without the MC) is pretty mediocre (If we take out the MC and switching perspectives)

MC in this is similar to Klein as in she actually feels remorse and guilt from taking over another persons' body. Her mental state is also very realistc, with a lot of mentions of her wanting to go back home and see her parents and friends again. That in itself is a rarity, but there's even more to say about her uniqueness. Unlike most MCs in this genre, our MC doesn't play games nor read fantasy novels, so the magical aspect of the world is viewed and used in a very interesting way as she knows dog sh*t of anything related to magic and mystical beings and its tropes. But oh no, her uniqueness doesn't end there folks...

HOWEVER. I've written way too much already about her, so its better that you just give it a read. If you're familiar with reincarnation/transmigration stories, you'll understand just how different she is. <<less

I see your number one list and I applaud. Let's marry Ning Shu, lol! That novel makes me feel so down to earth, contemplating over my life, and accept the joy of ordinary life instead of Mary Sue or Tom Sue protagonists.

It's so hard finding a action novel with no romance/harem (half the time theres always a love interest). Thank you for this! W for putting Lord of the Mysteries and tr*sh of the Counts Family. BTW, have you read Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint? It's an amazing plot, no romance (although there is a lot of queerbait), good action, amazing female characters and side characters (the side characters aren't used as things to make the MC seem OP. The characters are very well made). This novel made me shed more tears than an average novel (especially with the edits on TikTok!).

  Yes, I've read it! Not to completion though. I stopped reading when MC and that girl (maybe?) kissed. I got too frustrated to continue reading, probably won't read it for a few years LMAO

  @Thatoneasianteadrink Yoo Sangah and Kim Dokja didn't kiss as KDJ snapped out of his trance due to that Constellation. Infact, Yoo Sangah and Kim Dokja are like siblings. They protect each other like siblings and care for one another like siblings, so do not worry, they definitely did NOT kiss! (Ut was an almost kiss tho).

the thing i wanted most was a female mc from an action novel without romance but I don't remember ever finding one. and it's good to know that there are people who don't like romance at all like me, I can't help but roll my eyes every time I see one

  Also, SAME! I just can't help but gag when I see romance in books that aren't... Well... Romance books lmao. Like, I wanna read action, tf is this??? Why is the latter half of the story just couples smooching?
