There's nothing as good as slow-burn angst, found family and meta storytelling. A glance at the synopsis will tell you a common setting found in many stories - apocalyptic, murim, etc. etc. but the thing is, there is no fixed 'theme' for this novel; it's our job as readers to interpret the story as a whole, and that's the reason behind my therapy bills.
