It’s wonderful, you’ll start to feel that the heart-wrenching moments at the start were all worth it at the end. Mo Ran and Wan Ning were always fated. They were the typical “Fated, but at the wrong time and circumstances’. I’ve come back to this novel time and time again, just for the fluffy moments haha. Can’t bring myself to read the angst the second time, but trust me, if it’s your first time, read it. And you’ll never look back again. <<less

I picked up this book when i was bored and was just hoping for a lighthearted read. But, boy, it won’t disappoint! 

Classic Reincarnated Shizun Shou X ML “yandere” but not really, gong. If you’ve just started your journey into BL, I can recommend this. 

Took me completely by surprise. I finished this in 2 days and never regretted picking this novel up. It is really really good for me.... more>> Story focuses on main CP, and side character development may be lacking but generally i enjoyed interactions between the main CP. Recommend if you want a lighthearted read! <<less

I watched the DongHua before coming to the novel. People may dislike the Gong, but if you just consider the JiangHu, you know how there... more>> are a lot of hypocrites so i can understand his thinking. Anyways, he has character development and Shou also becomes much less naive—i mean he wasn’t even that naive? MC revives his memory quite early on so don’t worry about him being the classic weak MC always getting protected. MC is strong, oh boy. <<less

Defo not XianXia since there’s no cultivation or any mention of Daoism. There’s Wugong though, which is martial arts and story takes place in a historical setting. The plot, character building, world building are done marvelously. A lot of mention of politics and war so must pay close attention to storyline. The two main characters are both equally strong and smart, although Shou has a frail body. They both have a very good chemistry, and the s*xual tension is no joke in this story !!  <<less

Halfway through, I even doubted if this was BL, LOL. There’s not much angst in this, all the angst is in the past. There are parts that may seem like angst, but you just have to trust the understanding between master and disciple! ML is very very considerate and respectful to his beloved shizun, and shizun figures things out at his own pace and is very lighthearted! It was such a relaxing read I caught up to the latest chapter in 3 days! <<less

Was a really satisfying read about revenge and uncovering all the mysteries and tragedies of the past. Side characters (more like demonic faction) were there mostly for the comedy, but they were really entertaining, so no one’s complaining. Highly recommend, plot is addicting though, so be aware that your eyes wouldn’t be leaving the screen until you’re done with this book. <<less
