As others have said, this is not like those typical Korean love stories. It's dark. And deals with sensitive topics like harmful obsession, trauma, su*cide, and depression.

I see some reviewers think the ML is tr*sh, but I'd have to strongly disagree. I think the ML was excellently written. He is a very complex character who has been hurt by those he loves over and over again. So it makes sense he doesn't trust others. And, although I think his redemption could have been a bit longer, it really made sense and I loved how the FL slowly influenced him. She doesn't make him change. He wants to change and to understand her, and the path to achieve those isn't smooth. It's hard for him and he gets confused and angry when its not easy so imo, his evolution over the novel was perfect.

The FL was also really well written. Sure, she starts off as the typical Korean novel perfect golden girl and, although at her core she still is, it was interesting to see her character change (for better or worse) and to come to understand how she got that way. The author does a really good job fleshing her out.

If you don't mind complicated love and dark romance, this is a must read! And the translator did a fantastic job! The story was really easy to understand and the translator added helpful comments when needed.

I never expected to find a Korean novel as complex as this. The only thing that would make this even better than it was was if there was some smutty goodness. :P

DAMN WAS THIS SPICY! Omg if you don't like manipulative, yandere men don't read it, but if you do. OMG IS THIS A TREAT!!!! It's a super short story about a commoner woman impersonating the Male Lead's long lost sister to get out of her commoner life. He knows from the start that she isn't his sister, but allows her to keep up the act because he never really cared to look for his sister, was only doing it for his father. Anyways, he ends up obsessed with the FL and manipulating a situation so she has to come to him by her own free will for some smutty goodness.  For a short story, this was amazing! It hit all my top favorite tropes.

I'm absolutely loving this story! I'm surprised it's only rated  4.2, I'd say its 4.5 at least. The characters are all well developed. I like how the FL actually has a good relationship with her siblings, unlike in a lot of WN. And her thoughts and contradicting feelings for the ML make complete sense. Romance: 2 - As of ch 17 no romance, the cast are all kids still but there are hints that characters are starting to feel closer. And now that they are growing older, I'm hoping to see if romance blooms more.

Character Development: 9 - Unlike other novels that use flashbacks or "tell verse show" how the villains became evil, this one focuses on showing us why the villains from the "novel" turned evil. And honestly, it makes sense. If I were trapped in a tower for who knows how long I'd probably become resentful and angry too.

Overall: 8 - I will have to wait and see how the plot plays out but so far it has an interesting premise and the translation is top notch. <<less

Growing up as the daughter of an 'evil' woman, the FL is hated and abused throughout her childhood. As of chapter 24 she is still a 7 year-old child. But because she remembers her past life and because of how she was treated in the orphanage she is very mature for her age. It's interesting that people do recognize that she isn't acting like a child. They don't just gloss over the fact like in other WNs. 

Also, I love that even though she remembers the contents of the novel, she can't remember every little detail and is determined to screw up the plot of the novel to get back at her father and his new wife (who are the heroine of the original story's parents).

I thought the later chapters (ch 20 to 24) were kind of slow but the ML has been introduced and it may pick up again. <<less

I'm really enjoying this! The translator is doing a terrific job! I'm loving the little extra notes and pictures the translator adds to clear up any confusion readers may have for some of the military or survival guide verbiage the author throws in.... more>>

As for as story goes, I find this really interesting. The author does a great job world building and definitely did their homework on the different types of military and survival skillsets one may need on a deserted island. For romance, it's the first time I've read a story primarily from the ML's pov. He's the handsome cold type but I love the slow growth of love between the FL and ML. There are only 13 chapters available so far but I'm really looking forward to where this goes.

From the first six chapters, I wouldn't say the storyline is very deep, but I really like the FL and ML. And I like that the story actually has a FL that has a best friend. So many web novels only focus on the FL and ML with any supporting characters being almost forgotten. This one has a good supporting best friend.

This story is so much fun! I don't usually like stories that are based upon misunderstandings but this one is a definite exception. All the misunderstandings are so funny and don't feel forced at all. Also, most of the misunderstandings are cleared up fairly quickly so the story doesn't drag them on and on. The FL is awesome. I love her so much. She's the perfect balance between naïve and smart. She grew up in a temple, surrounded by nuns, so its reasonable that she has lived a sheltered life but I love how practical she is and how she admits she doesn't have a "pure" mind so can't become a nun herself. Hahaha. She just feels so real.

And can't forget to mention how much I LOVE the relationship between the FL and ML. They get along so well, like real best friends. And the ML is so soft for the FL. He is obsessed, but as of ch 20 he doesn't go overboard trying to control the FL. He listens to her and she practically has him tamed. It's very wholesome and feels like an actual healthy relationship.

The smut is some of the best written/translated I've ever read in a Korean web novel. And the storyline isn't bad either. It's a revenge story but has some good twist and turns. And the clear passion and attraction between the FL and ML is hot af! 

Also, it's probably one of the first novels I've read where the FL is very in-tune with how men react to her and isn't afraid to use her looks and s*x appeal to get what she wants. I like that, although the FL isn't physical strong, she is able to hold her own and get herself out of dangerous situations.

Only the first 13 chapters are available and it hasn't been updated it a while but I was really enjoying this! I'm a total sucker for FL's growing close to their older half brothers.  The story line was similar to my other  favorite web novel, "The Tyrant’s Beloved Doll," but more light hearted and cute.  I loved the FL's internal thoughts and her scheming. I got to say I'm really enjoying the FL and ML's relationship. Both are level headed and make sensible decisions. The ML is very protective, with good reason (I'd want to protect my sleep too!) But also understanding and generous with the FL. And the FL is so cute and easy going. I like how normal she is and that she isn't the emotionless, cold and analytical type that so many FLs are in other web novels.

Another great thing about this web novel is that it doesn't take itself too seriously. The story could easily become all angst and depressing but the author does a good job throwing in humor or lighter dialogue to ease the tension.

I'm only at chapter 10 but I'm so intrigued!! In so many "time reversal" stories, the FL knows how she died, who betrayed her and what to do to make sure she comes out on top, but in this story there are so many mysteries and it's interesting that other characters seem to be changing the timeline as well. I also like that the FL debates with herself. She was proud of her life before she died and is torn between following that path or changing the past to save people she lost. The FL is amazing. I know some people think she's weak (probably bc she doesn't fight or tell the ppl she doesn't like to f off) but I love how realistic she is. She's smart and isn't rude. Maybe because she acts exactly how I would if I were in her situation, I really connected with her. 

Also, can I just give a shout out to how cute the ML and FL are together! Like the ML started off all cold and typical ice man personality, but I ADORED how when they got close he was super teasing and always laughing and joking with the FL. I just found their chemistry super sweet.

Like I said, I'm not exactly sure where the story is going so taking a couple points off for that, but otherwise I'm super enjoying this. Definitely one of my top novels at the moment.

REALLY ENJOYING THIS! The story is so different and dark from typical isekai romance novels, I just love it! On that note, this story is DARK. Basically, the FL has lived the same year of her life 117 times. She's tired of it all. She wants to die, but every time she does she resets. And since she has relieved the same scenarios, the same conversations so often she can't see people as living beings anymore. Everyone feels scripted. And so, on her 117th life, she decides to start killing those around her to see if anything will change and if she can start feeling alive again. Her despair and anguish are so tangible!
