This novel contends as my number 1 favourite novel against MDZS, all because of how amazing this story line is, and because of the MC (Shi Lou) and ML (Yu Sui), as well as the side characters. Though, what really made me love this novel so much is because of Shi Lou and Yu Sui — especially Yu Sui. God, he's literally so amazing. He went through so much sh*t in the past, and he deserves so much better. Not going to lie, I've cried quite a few times when I read this novel. And not going to lie again — I've reread this novel so many times because of Yu Sui (and other factors like Shi Lou and the plot of course, lol). 

Give this a chance. It's one of the best novels I've read by far. <<less

While I'm not going to go too in depth about the pros and cons of this novel, I have the obligation to say that one of the biggest pros (one of the best part) of this novel is Xie Yifeng, the ML himself. He's so amazing and devoted to Yuhe, and in the last extra of the novel, you can see how much he trully trusts and respects Yuhe. Throughout the whole novel, he's always been so considerate and respectful towards Yuhe, and i love that so much about him. Yuhe and Yifeng trully deserves each other, and they both deserve only the best. The interactions between them were so heart-warming that it made me giddy quite a bit lol. Xie Yifeng is one of the best MLs ive ever read about, hands down.  <<less

alright, I was a little bit reluctant to add this novel in this list. Let me talk about the novel first: in my honest opinion, i skipped quite a few chapters, especially the fight scenes, all because at times they really bore me, and as i progressed through the story, they became quite repetitive. If i had to describe this novel, its really just about showing off how OP and mind-blowing the MC is. Almost every chapter is really just praising him, and it's alright at times, but god, does it get repetitive. I'm not implying that i dislike the MC or anything, hell, he's actually amazing, and there are actually some good points about... more>> this novel, such as the humour ( i honestly recommend you guys read the reviews). 

So, that brings us to the reason as to why I have to add this novel here after i hesitated for a while: the ML, Victor, who is also the shou. Without exaggeration, Victor was honestly the reason as to why I continued reading this novel until the end. He's the best character in this novel, and i really liked him. Both him and the MC were honestly just so sweet and really deserve each other. Victor was neither overly possesive nor overbearing; he was just honestly devoted to the MC. 

As someone said in the reviews, this novel is mostly just a feels-good novel with nonexistent tension and quite a few plot issues. I had actually stopped reading this novel somewhere in the middle until i picked it up again once i remembered Victor lol. <<less

There is a chapter where their absolute trust in each other was shown, and I really loved that part of this novel. Yan Xixia is a sweet and caring ML, and Xiao Lian is just as sweet and adorable -- you can really see how in love and devoted Xiao Lian is to Yan Xixia (and vice versa <3). This book is honestly great to read after reading an angsty and dog-blooded novel lol. <<less

One of the greatest novel I've read so far. I love the dynamic between the MC (Xie Yang) and ML (Qiu Xing) so much — honestly the highlight of this entire novel is the trust, devotion, and love they have for each other. Anyways, while the MC is honestly much more impactful and intriguing to me while reading this novel, the ML is also amazing as well. He's not forceful nor is he too overly possessive. He's a tsundere, but he's really more than that. He's quite a hard-ass early in the novel, and is quite temperamental, but he gets better i swear lol. I don't want to say too much, so all i have left to say is give this novel a chance. I highly recommend this.

alright, so im actually still reading this (around chp20) and so far i am absolutely loving it. the plot is amazing, i love the premise of the MC being a god, and i just love the overall story line so far. the comedy is also absolutely gold, really icing on a cake. along with the comedy, the dynamic between the MC (Zhuang Zhou<3) and the ML (Wen XiaoYun<3) makes the novel even better. both the MC and ML are just soooo aaaaa <3. only chapter 20 and im already infatuated with them. the side characters are also great so far.... more>>

Onto the ML, Wen XiaoYun: I LOVE HIM. he's just so considerate and so gentle. only 20 chapters in and i couldnt help but add this novel on this list already just because of him. the way he acts towards the MC is so precious and gentleman-like, he's a really likeable ML so far. i am 100% reading this novel for him and the MC, as well as for their future relationship (which i hope happens soon please because i am so into their dynamic already lol). 

as i havent finished reading this novel yet, i cant really say that i recommend this because im not entirely sure of whats to come yet. i dont know how this novel will end yet, and i dont know wheter the amazing writing will continue on (but im sure it will!). however, considering ive already added this novel to this list even though i havent completely read it yet, i think it can be implied that this novel is worthy of being recommended to read, so read this novel!! 

if for some reason, which i hope does not happen, i dont like the novel in the end when i finish reading it, i will remove it from the list.

update @ chp42: hands down 5/5 so far. MC and ML are amazing as usual, and so are the side characters. also, mother Wen is the best <3. author's notes are also the best tbh theyre funny asf. this novel's comedy is just golden.
