This world has a lot of story and the characters in this novel are extremely 3D, even the small antagonists of the story are given a proper background and reason for what they are doing. Sometimes a little too much, there was half a chapter explaining the history and beliefs of a guard to only seamingly show why he did lie at the time... A lie that eventually changed the fate of the kingdom but I don't think he'll ever appear again, who knows.

This world has psionic powers called power of Erradication and used to have wizards, dragons, ancient orcs and elfs. At this point in time it still have elf, dwarfes, orcs and even vampire kingdoms but wizards are basically extinct due to the creation of the Mystics, which are called calamies by all. <<less

The way the mc decides to kickstart his live is by being a musician. Its so entertaining seeing him go on with his live that at some point I forgot tha this was even had magic in it and I was okay with it.

Any book from this author is almost garanteed that will have an interesting protagonist, a very well made world and a very realistic story progression, albeit slow at the start. <<less

The story is slow and if not for the summary you might even forget about the magic aspect of it. But you soon get to know that there are other worlds with more magic out there and magic is not totally exinct here yet.... But it might take a long while for anything even remotely close to Walock of the Magus World happen.
