i really like this novel! the mc is a modern soul that entered the body of a concubine in ancient china. the original soul was really obnoxious and didn't really understand how the imperial harem worked, so mc had to rise up from the bottom. i really like the mc's calm and quick-witted personality! her modern experience helps her act so that the ML thinks she's secretly in love with him and uses her as a pawn. in reality, she isn't in love as he thinks she is - they're both using each other which is probably why there's no romance tag on this novel! it's a refreshing novel and interests me a lot because... more>> it feels more realistic than novels that suddenly make the emperor have only one concubine/wife (which isn't a bad thing, but considering it's in ancient china, where harems are considered 'normal', it feels like a stretch?)
