Shen miao (the mc) was all about protecting her family. she can’t escape plotting against her enemy bc that would protect her family. she isn’t doing all of those just for the sake of revenge. but also to give safety for her loved ones. she had a tough life before. don’t call her vicious, she wasn't. she just bring them back what they did to her before. hatred, grievances, and pain made her stronger.  <<less

aiyaaa. how should i begin with this?? i loveeed this novel so much i binge read it and finished these nearly 3k chapters within 12 days. i just love her adventures and the problems arising each time XDD it has also has face-slapping moments. sand it is slow-paced. but don’t be impatient. if u think mc is a bit op as time goes by ,,, that’s the fruit of her hard work, and well, genes. thus, her having a lot of power. i like her. she is ruthless when she has to. she is clever, loyal, and kind. very compassionate as well! she is a veeeery hard-working young lad. and the plot is good. i kinda... more>> spoiled myself so.. 

anyways, i like all characters. they also have some exposure and the author tells their background as well (i like it). she faces more and stronger opponents as she grows more power. there are times which not really went within her expectations, and that’s good. it tested her character. her developments.

cried a ton on some chapters bc things just don’t go the way i think it would be. really really cried a lot due to.. attachments in the characters.. since the characters also have their own little story to tell there, they really impacted me (´;︵;`)

the romance.. if u are looking for a fast romance, u can’t find it here. it really is a slow-building romance but once it showed.. it felt a looot better bc we have seen them progressed That Much. i feel they can have more moments but i am fine with their interactions. adorable and sweet!!! come feed us dog food~ ^u^ <<less

there are revenge moments but not that severe. just.. a light payback or retribution for them i guess? this novel is more like healing than plotting. 

a light read, logical, heart-warming scenes, and sad at the same time. the conflicts between mc and ml are relatively easy to be solved bc they are both open-minded. 

also i just wanna add, i honestly feel sad about gu cheng yao :(  and the extras.. i don’t think it’s whitewashing him.. it is mainly his point of view on how his innocence more like foolishness before drove his life & others’ lives into That point. his character growth...  <<less

The first half of the story got me all laughing. she was adorable, all she thought about was being a Mary Sue. she wanted to be a mary sue so badly. kind of narcissist, silly, unreasonable, but kind. 

our ml, on the other hand, is.. just.. i love him???? he just aaaaa sorry bc if i describe him a lil bit more ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧ i could just say he loves her purely.

anw, so in the second part of the book there goes plenty of twists being unfolded. this completely changed the tone of the story.

i did not really have a lot to say to the twists as i felt like it was a bit rushed? or idk bc the story was kinda short i did not get that prolonged moment of suffering. but the angst was there. 

also, the blooming blossom of our mc & ml. (*´ω｀*) they cuties!!!!

and the side characters... well, i hope the best for Him. :( i think he had suffered so much, he deserves love & happiness while wandering around. 

and for the other one, the biggest villain.. i don’t even wanna talk abt that person. they be confusing, mad, & manipulative af. 

the ending.. i did not expect it but it also made me feel satisfied in a way. the ending is just the opposite of what she desired before but also similar in some aspects. she definitely learned lesson as for those mess she had experienced. <<less
