I know there have been unique takes on QT, but so far, this has been one of the QT novels I've read with the healthiest relationship. No one is being face-slapped, its just two people trying to live a peaceful life with their beloved significant other, and they do so without indiscriminately trampling on other people in the process. <<less

It's a very lovely story, the MC and ML stands on equal footing despite the imbalance brought upon by the label of their relationship. They both respect and look out for one another. It's very cute. The story also gives us another perspective on Modern System novels. Both are smart and clever in their own ways, and are doing their best to live happy lives. The MC tries his best to provide the ML the kind of love he deserved, and the ML happily reciprocates. A short novel this may be, but each character holds their own relevance which makes for a wonderfully condensed read. <<less

A new addition to this list. I have never related to a character so much to the point that I was driven to tears. I felt inwardly connected with the ML's issues at home, understood his struggles, and even shared his insecurities. Loving someone is bittersweet, especially if you develop feelings for someone you perceive to be way out of your league. The ML grew up in a troubled environment and is forced to be independent before reaching adulthood, while the MC--though he had his own struggles to deal with--grew up in a loving family. The MC is a cheerful, smart and determined little angel who unconditionally loves his gege, and the ML reciprocates his feelings in his own way by working hard on his studies to be with the MC, and even buying a house, vowing to give the MC a life he deserves. The MC is patient, loving, and intelligent. He had no qualms when he realized that he had bent for the ML, but also acknowledged that society may not necessarily accept him (especially his friend), thus his actions were understandable. The MC's love and consideration for the ML and the ML's struggle with his conflicting mindset and extreme adoration for the MC was what gave this novel a lot of flavor. Overall, it's a simple story about persistent love, and healthy communication. <<less
