That is to be expected though, since you can't have 367 chapters about an extra doing extra things or it would get really boring. <<less

It's entertaining, like most novels of this genre- 'returner'. Beyond being entertaining though- the story is rushed, it assumes a lot of knowledge from the reader about the genre, and it's fairly generic. 1. Setup for the MC to return back to (or start) the "death arena".

2. Tutorial where MC goes around and does sh*t and acts very smart since he knows how everything will happen (or from start, has some special ability that gives an advantage over the other, since god knows what would happen to an MC without some cheat).

3. Stages of "death arenas" divided clearly to prevent plot holes where strong guys could come down and kill everyone. 

4. Pets.

5. Harem (sometimes, well mostly).

6. Becomes god.

7. Ends.

EDIT: One thing I don't really get is how the MC knows everything his brother knows like he is his brother since the diary can't include literally every single thing he ever did. The diary is a bit strange in how it is said that he played it over and over again at the beginning, but to include so much detail that the MC says is in the diary would mean that the diary is at least a few hours long. This doesn't really make sense given that he wouldn't be able to stay awake for multiple days like how he is said to be doing without food or water, and nothing of the sort is explained. I don't really know, but that diary just doesn't sit well with me; it just feels like a convenient excuse to get a returner novel without having been there in the first place.

Like most of the novels on this list, the catch is in the title, and it wears off very quickly, leaving the reader with something else. tr*sh of the Count's Family is based on the premise that the MC thinks he's tr*sh but he acts nice so people like him (like a true MC, acting even half decent makes everyone flock to you).... more>>

The common (idiom?/quote?), "Never judge a book by its cover", or in this case the title, isn't applicable to these books since the entire book is based off of the title essentially, and if the book is based off the title, and it changes to something else, it just feels a bit empty. The emptiness, I think, comes from the fact that good stories don't rely on a catchy title or premise to get readers to be invested in the story, but these books rely heavily on that, making me feel like I'm being (the book equivalent of) "click-baited". That's not an especially good feeling to have when trying to read something for entertainment since it makes you feel like a food for continuing to read these books.

What, you want something about the book on its own? Well, its a generic fantasy transmigration novel where the MC knows everything that's about to happen- a common theme somehow among the books that I've read. The story uses a power system that is very well explained (makes sense to a certain degree as long as you set what the author says as a basis for understanding (its consistent)). Its fairly slow though, if that deters some people, and the story hasn't really gone anywhere in an entire volume (though that's probably why there's the slice of life tag there). Overall, good book, recommended. <<less

This repetitive novel, through comedy, manages to keep the reader (me) entertained for an entire 1,000 chapters, and the reader (I) tend to drop books... more>> very quickly when I get bored of them. The novel starts off a bit slow, but picks up after the luochen mountains arc, and does a "cultivation novel" thing up until around chapter 970-980 where Bai Xiaochun tries to kill the guy trying to leave the planet, and that's where I stopped because I got bored of it. Good book for the generic "cultivation novel" things though. <<less
