Much of the early part of the novel involves her getting into situations over her head and needing to be rescued by the Male Lead. Male MC's in the genre always seems to find a way out by themselves but she always seems to need rescuing until her cultivation gets to a high enough level.

Overall its a solid female MC cultivation novel but she kind of lives a sheltered life protected by her master and the Male MC until she gets to a certain cultivation level <<less

This is a gender bent story but the MC is female. Due to the society she is in that favors males she has to pretend to be a male. There is no romance even very far into the novel but they have set up a Male MC that i think is likely to be the main romance option at the end of the novel... more>>
