He gest picked up and saved by the ML's secretary when he's stuck in his duck form after being attacked by a stalker. Despite saying he wats to stay away from the story he immediately interferers in the ML's life because of all the darkening events going on just before he's supposed to meet the ORL and doesn't want him to suffer like that.
