I also just wanted to clarify how I determine how good a novel is: 

- Although I do take “enjoyment” into consideration there are also many other factors which determine whether or not I add this novel to this list

- For example, how realistic it is. Not in the sense that the novel has to be set in a reality similar to that of our own but in the sense that the character’s actions, feelings and thoughts are realistic to a certain degree.

- I have more factors but this is gonna take forever so I’ll talk about the most important one: What can I or you take from this novel? What does it make you feel or think? What lessons can you learn? 

I tend to say that the best novels are the novels that best reflect irl societal issues and there’s many reasons for that. I feel that by portraying societal issues through characters gives readers the opportunity to view certain issues from a different perspective. I also feel that the novels that best reflect society are the ones that feel closest and most real. They’re the best to me cause they make me feel the most. <<less

I cannot tag and am not bothered to tag.

Most of this stuff is BL tho occasionally there may be some that isn’t. 

I’m not big on abo or beastment(?) but there might be some. I’m running out of content (things to read). I generally only read ‘completed’ works so I may have to do a bit of waiting… D:

P.S, the first 2 novels on this list have quite bad reviews from me but this isn’t a recommendation list, it’s a review list. There are both good and bad reviews for different books. I can be quite contradictory sometimes and a little inconsistent (blame that on my bad memory) but I try.  <<less

Not all of these are flawed per se… or at least not in a sense. What I mean by ‘flawed’ is the story itself has some messed up concepts or plotlines. Well, then why did I make this list if there stories are ‘flawed’? It’s not to tell people to avoid these stories, rather it’s share my personal views on them and encourage people to try and understand the story from a different aspect. I’m not gonna lie, I’m a sucker for tragedies. However I made this list because I often find that sometimes, the most ‘flawed’ or controversial stories are the most memorable because they tend to offer something different.
