So I binge (mtl) read this since it was only 26 chapters long and wow. I knew that I was about to be f*cked up emotionally just from the tags and summary but WOW, did they take it beyond my expectations. Right after I finished reading, I didn't know how I truly felt about it. It left me feeling pity, bitter, sad, and just... really irritated. All the characters had moments where I felt like they had their head in their ass. The FL has so much love for her... more>> husband, a saint really.

The neglect and absolute lack of communication in this couple's relationship is f*cking wild. I honestly don't know who I'm madder/disappointed at more right now.

The husband, I don't even know where to start. His wife, that he loves soooo much, went through so much and he didn't know shit. Dude your wife spits out blood and you're not even a little suspicious about it? You cancel so many of the plans she wanted to do with you for some other women and you don't think to yourself that she might misunderstand especially after 2-3 years of almost no contact??? I get that's he's so focused on his career but his actions are so questionable.

But dame the sh*t that happened 2-3 years ago... what a mess. I can't believe he slapped her, not once but twice. The first time... wtf was that. He scares himself and then runs away?? I mean wtf. And our tragic FL miscarriages, finds out she has cancer (?) and that her eggs are f*cked. I'm crying for her really. The husband can f*ck right off, he gets drunk, ignores her calls from the hospital, and then CHEATS. The anguish I felt while trying to get through this was unreal. The second time is infuriating. I get that she's misunderstanding the situation but the fact that he doesn't take her side and is defending the other women made me fume. FL literally came back from arranging and doing her mother's funeral all by herself while he was f*cking around to THAT. I can't blame her for how she reacted. And he SLAPPED her for it. Man, I really wanted to drop this but I also wanted to know how it ended. So much the FL went through and it passed right by the husband. GOD the disappointment I have for him... oof

Yo, the FL so-called friend... Idk if she's selfish or s*upid. How can she be spewing all that bullsh*t of 'OH I didn't know THAT would happen, I'm SO sorry I caused your mum to trip and die by sending those pics, I just wanted to hurt your husband but you're the only way I can do it through...I had NO idea :' ((' WHAT A f*ckING FRIEND YALL

There's too much to say about it and I just don't want to dwell on it anymore, I need to cleanse my mind of this. I flamed the husband a lot but he wasn't completely at fault, I'd say 70% tho.

Honestly, it's not worth the read. It should be 2 stars but idk how to change it. Everything just goes downhill, there's no redemption of some sort, and everything that gets revealed just hurts. A tragedy indeed. The ending was... meh.

ngl I was kinda glad our FL died in the end like I just wanted all the pain she was going through to stop. Like the husband regretted big time and tried to repent ig but everything was too far gone. The damage was literally irreversible

It felt like it was supposed to be a bitter-sweet ending but all I felt was bitter. Save your time yall and just don't read. The payoff is defiantly not worth it. But if you want to feel terrible and pure angst is your cup of tea then go for it. <<less

The ML is too scummy for me. Beyond redemption. He is supposed to love the FL but I can't see the love in any of his actions. The villain also doesn't get a just retribution. Caused multiple lives to be lost but still have the leisure to start over? It feels like the author is hating on the FL big time. It's a short story and it's pretty fluid.

I will avoid spoilers at all cost because it's a short story and I encourage everyone who (similar to me) has a guilty pleasure of loving these tragic novels with MLs who wreck havoc on the life of the MC / FL only to realize they're too late to repent, to read this novel. You'll love it. Looking for a quick tear jerker? This is good place to start. I believe the MTL for this novel is clean enough that it doesn't ruin the story.

Now, as to why I gave... more>> it a 4.0 rating:

  1. Is there a scumbag ML? Yes...90% of the time. 90% of his actions are scummy, but I give him 10% credit because he once protected her and loved her like a good partner should. There's no bullying here, just a bunch of misunderstands he brought upon himself.
  2. I like this MC/FL...a LOT. The MC does things her way, and is not oppressed by the ML. Yes she's hopelessly in love with the ML, but not to the point where she is dependent on him by ANY means. Girl's got her career down and skills to boot.
  3. The unexpected support character, who I think plays a pivotal role in this story. You go from hating them to almost being proud of their character growth.
  4. What I don't like? I WANT MORE OF IT DARN IT! But really, I feel like the ML didn't quite get enough time to repent for his mistakes, even a slight bit. I appreciate that it's a short story, but one more chapter of having the ML suffer for his own actions wouldn't hurt............... (yes it would, but that's the point!).

This novel really f*caked me over. I cried so much. The pain was t that bad because in the end I felt like she died peacefully. He didn’t sneer at her like other male leads or we seen him treat her bad. We know he’s a bad person because it gets revealed and seen throughout the whole book. I feel upset and frustrated at him and the ending is bitter sweet. If I was her I would grave her ending to.
