I love entertainment novels even though most have same plot, I also love bl, so I reallly like this novel esp. The part where MC gets prettier.

I dont like the website no offense to the translator, who is great by the way, the site just slides to different chapter every time I scroll which is totally irritating I have to scroll back again and again to find the part im at. ?

A bit put off by how MC gets rewards for getting more and more good looking and killer body, and ML falling for him after MC gets sexy ass/thin waist/lush lips etc etc...

The movie/TV stories are good, but main story is meh. ML was only respectful until he got MC's OK. After that he turned into pushy CEO who thinks being in 'love' means consent is not needed anymore... MC also went from no-no to yes very abruptly...

I really enjoyed this novel. I thought it will be the usual plot with high ratings, but this novel have unique plot and complex characters especially Bai (Qing??) who was first introduced as the original protagonist, but became the cannon fodder. But author proved me wrong, as I read the story, Bai Qing or idk became a character that can rival the protagonist. Anyway, he became alive under the pen.

You always manage to get something out of a novel. This novel dishes out quality dogfood. Not that dry biscuit sort.

In all seriousness though, I really liked the plot and development of the relationships between the main characters. Like this novel points out, you never know how life will unfold.

I wish the movies that Shen Jintai played in actually existed.

The system entices the MC with a man who will stay loyal forever and a sexy body. The MC says I'm in, but you can forget about the man, just make me sexy! The ML wants skinship with the MC and tries to brainwash himself that it's just hormones. He doesn't actually like him. But he does and it's hilarious.

What I want from a novel, are strong emotions. A scene that can stimulate me. Empathize with MC. I need to feel something for MC.

First of all, After reading the previous reviews talking about how dislikable the MC is and then reading the novel I’m so confused??? The MC never played with anyones feelings and infact chickened out when I was given the option to.

The characters were very much real to me and I loved every single one of them❤️ My baby xiaobai was my favourite for obvious reasons and other obvious reasons hehehe

• Poor description (Author only focuses on describing mc's ass and series he gonna shoot.
• It's more like otome game (From the description it feels like MC is just playing game and the others are just npc. Mc's sudden changes are quite normal for the other characters.
• Fault with characters logic (the same thing if done by someone else then it's bad but if don't by main characters it's good.)
• Uncomfortable reading experience. (Idk why the author have obsession with mc's ass after every couple of chapters you'll get to read how good it looks. Also MC doesn't show any emotional feeling towards the original body host. The way everyone compares MC with original host is uncomfortable to read.)

Everytime he gets reward or wants a specific reward or when someone notice his upgrade it makes me think of how insecure he is with his looks and how he thinks that's the reason why he didn't become popular in his original life. His personality screams insecurity as well. It's like a sad reality with all the comedy.

When actors in real life doesn't really rely too much on face these days, maybe it differs on each country.

I must admit to being disappointed about who the ML is. Other reviews suggest he eventually gets better, but he is soooo boring for now (and MC has way better chemistry with the protagonist shou- I really feel that had potential to be a super interesting dynamic). So I don't feel motivated to continue.

Great for a first time read. Definitely recommend to try. All characters are really well written and flushed out and everyone gets a happy ending. There's not really any an antagonist so the story feels long in the middle to end. The productions MC acts in become stories within this story which is unique and nice to read for a change of pace.

I really liked the novel until I realized who the ML was T-T... seriously, I would be happy with the MC being with anyone else other than the actual ML... it's just that the ML is so boring and plain compared to all of the other potential interests. I love this a lot. My favourite was probably Bai Qingquan's relationship. The main CP didn't have the best dynamic imo but it was still really good and everything else is just *chef's kiss* I really enjoyed the acting bits and it actually felt like a novel focused on an actor rather than just the showbiz hype and all that.

A super cute showbiz novel, heartwarming and career focused. Full with positive values. I'm so happy to find this gem❤️

Do not judge a book by it's cover. Do not judge a person by his/her first impression. In this story, you shouldn't judge any of the characters by their first impression because they are more than that. As the plot goes, you'll eventually discover that these characters have depth and are layered. Their characters grow and change - as in the ML. Also, a cute white moonlight, where else would you be able to find one?

Though the idea and concept may seem crass, the actual story is actually pretty good. Everything that should be addressed were addressed. All loose ends were tied up properly. I love this novel so so much. Was planning to rate a four, but I want to boost the rating a bit since I think that this novel is being given way less credit than it deserves. I had mtled this a long while back when there were no translations, so imagine my surprise when I came back and saw that someone had picked this gem up... time the reread! I don't write reviews anymore but seeing the low rating, I felt like I needed to give this novel some... more>> well-deserved defense. It's a bit of a slow burn romance and definitely has frustrating or dragged-out moments, but I think it's cute and well-developed overall.

Please don't be turned off by the negative reviews if this novel interests you, one thing I noticed was that most of the bad reviews on here were left by people who hadn't finished the novel.
Yes, I admit that this novel does get super repetitive with how beautiful and perfect the MC is, but that's the whole point! It's literally in the title and description, in my opinion you get what you came for.

I will update with an in-depth review once I'm done rereading, but for now just know that I definitely recommend this danmei, despite the whole premise being quite shallow, as it revolves around beauty and physical attractiveness. The mtl is also easy to understand, so give it a shot! <<less

I’m really loving this novel! Wanted to leave a review to make up for the low total.

This novel started off a little bit shallow and comedic but I’m only 46 chapters in and it’s already becoming quite deep and moving. The MC is a bit naive when it comes to love but he truly loves acting. His depths of emotions when it comes to his work makes him much more interesting than he first comes across.

Also bonus being the “white moonlight” character is also a lot more see and less... more>> of a cliche than most novels so far. So far the changes of peoples opinion towards the MC seems logical and is paced well. The face slapping is delicious! And the description of the show biz world is very exciting.

Aside from the blatant look-ism (ie. The importance placed of physical beauty) which may bother some people - but really this is stock standard in the Danmei universe, which usually doesn’t concern itself with political correctness - this novel is surprisingly deep and moving and fascinating so far! I’ll update my review once I finish it but I just wanted write a review because I saw so many negative ones and just didn’t feel it was warranted at all.
