This is a very good written novel. The comedy and the romance is very good. A very healthy relationship between the heartbroken MC who urged by his half brother to find a new partner ASAP after his ex cheated on him. His half bro install the dating app, and matched him with an older professor who is mature and later on pamper him beyond words.

The ML is too good to be true? Not really, I know some people who will pamper their partner like ML did, but I have to... more>> admit, this is really makes all single squad out there envy to the max.

It was no wonder ML pamper MC, after all, their age differences is 12 year, and MC pour all his heart and pamper ML back.

The novel describe the struggle of how hard it was being gay in front of your family, the importance of studying and trying hard to earn your place in society, as well as complexity of family relationship. No much drama nor misunderstanding between MC and ML, which makes me love this story so much. <<less

Plot wise, it's nothing special, so it should be average rating, but I put more due to how much I love Bai Changyi.

I love how calm he is, how mature, how warm, how gentle and understanding, plus intellectual and sexy, can cooks, well spoken, solve the problem with actual communication, and overall he's such a keeper.
OLDER ML IS THE BEST!

I like the couple interaction and dynamics and how the author doesn't make it wishy washy: they got mutually attracted, got together, and working out on their relationship.

I also love the philosophical dialogue of this story, it makes me reflect on myself.

The character growth of the MC also should get applauded (even when I do think it happen a bit abrupt)

The most mature seme you'd ever find coupled with amazing character growth of both the ML and the MC!!!

Three words: TOTALLY WORTH IT!

I loved that ML is very calm and mature and MC adapting his personality being mature too everytime they spend their time together and not that typical student-teacher genre.

Love their interaction soo much. I hope this kind of ML exist irl lol.

I really like both the MC & ML's character in this novel.

MC may come off as really annoying and immature at first glance, but I find him really realistic. And the more you read, the more you realise he's so much more than what he portrays -

Studying & living by himself, supporting himself, estranged from his family in a foreign country. No easy feat.

MC is 24, and I personally, who is in a similar age bracket can seem to find shadows of myself in him. We're grown ups, but we're still young. It's an age where we are still searching for ourselves and our purpose within this world. At this age - we tend to let our emotions take the wheel. And the beauty of it is that throughout this novel, you grow up along with our MC, almost unknowingly. He is a real, multifaceted character, and that's why I like him so much.

As for our ML, he is truly so wonderful for MC. He has already been through his own growing up phase, and he balances out our MC nicely with his maturity in response to every problem that comes their way. Communication is key in relationships - and ML really embodies it. He tempers our MC's character perfectly and brings out the best in him.

I really liked the part where MC sees ML's search history on his laptop and there's just stuff that he googles in relation to the MC (e.g. How to handle your young bf if I rmb correctly lol) that is so contradictory to his usual mature self.

Another tidbit I find nice is how open they are with their sexuality, there is no beating around the bush with both of them which is quite refreshing.

However around ch.75 where MC steps in to save dad's company a little jarring compared to the rest of the novel. It suddenly becomes the MC being all hero-like and saving the day lol. But it only lasts a few chapters and it doesn't affect much.

My luck was really good this week. I found several swoon worthy danmei novels to read or MTL.

This gem was one of them, got me hooked on the first chapter and sunk deep into the bottom of love life.

This story is so incredible that I think calling it amazing would be an understatement! The pacing of the story is amazing it keeps me interested from start till the latest chapter (I actually tried mtling but gave up because I couldn't understand it at all; better wait for the translation.－O－)

The plot is well developed and the couple has this amazing healthy relationship that many people would freakin want to have. Ting Shuang's crazy antics and Bai Changyi's understanding created a balanced relationship between them. Their relationship felt real.... more>> (Please God give me a Bai Changyi) Bai Changyi changed Ting Shuang and vice versa, they bring out the best in each other.

Another thing I love from this novel is how they solve their problems, I admire how maturely they handled the situation. It's not like other novels where people take unreasonable revenge for minor offenses; no, it's not like that. And, no, the MC is not a softie; rather, his actions are reasonable and relatable. (Although he is silly sometimes)

Each character have their own flaws but I think that's why I find them perfect.

This is so beautiful, I cried while reading this, especially when they talked about their big age gap and death which comes along with it. I really recommend everyone to read this. I honestly didn't expect to learn a lot, along with the main character, about life from the male lead's experience. I love the characters and their development in terms of both relationship and character. This novel has a special place in my heart.

I didn't expect much from the novel but this is a healthy slow-burned fluff that made me smile or giggle all the way through my binge reading. Love how they don't hold each other back but let each other explore and succeed without possessiveness.

Honestly, I thought at the beginning that this was a run-of-the-mill fluffy BL story but actually it's funny, cute, dramatic, and even surprisingly philosophical. It felt healing to read this, I like it so much more than I expected at the beginning.

A novel filled with fluff, communication, and growth. Super good!! The novel is written in a good pace and not dragged out at all. It has both character and couple development too! I really like how they grew as individuals and as a couple, especially our MC Ting Shuang. I won't spoil how the ML Bai Changyi assisted in Ting Shuang's character development but just know that meeting Bai Changyi and getting into a relationship with a mature partner is definitely one of the luckiest thing that happened to Ting... more>> Shuang. He really lucked out on this catch that even I got jealous.

(The following might be considered as spoilers!!)

One of the few things that I liked the most is how Bai Changyi was willing to go long distance for 2 occassions just so Ting Shuang and grow as a person. For him to do what he wants and needs to do, he was willing to stay in Germany to wait for his arrival back. The trust that he had and the unconditional support that he showed really shows how strong their relationship is and how much he loves Ting Shuang. Also, at the start Ting Shuang was a little 'immature' and behaves like a brat sometimes. That's also why I'm really happy when Bai Changyi remained patient infront of his temper and tried to resolve the issue between them through open communication. Whenever Ting Shuang has such a fit, he would ask things like 'Ting, what is wrong?' and tries to resolve whatever that is happening between them. I think that this really helped Ting Shuang to restraint his temper and prompt him to resolve issues in a more amicable way just like how he did with his dad.

Hais... I can happily say that he really is one of the best MLs I have ever read about 🤭 <<less

One of the reasons why I really love this story is the very wise character of Professor Bai 😭😭
He's a character who is truly worthy of being your companion for life 😭😭 He's sexy in a very expensive way. Elegant mischief, and elegant mischief..

Our sweet Ting, like the silly and stubborn shou, is a bit annoying, but the perfect match for our Professor Bai. They are perfect in a sweet way..

Really read it. This is a fitting and refreshing coming-of-age story. Too realistic but with epic drama.

I love it, one of the sweetest and most romantic BL books I have read. The MC is young and a typical 24 Yr old with his imperfections and childish moments and our ML couldn't be anymore different, a professor and a responsible mature gentleman with his own set of principles and beliefs and when they come together it's simply magical.

What I loved most is how they express their love through everyday things, how patient and understanding they are with each other and the character growth of the MC wow...... more>> this is some of the best character development you'll find.

His growth, his maturity, the way he looks at the world and how he gets to learn more about the ML everyday, its just a pleasure to read. And his awkward moments, 🤣🤣these ones made the book 100 times funnier and better. I have never laughed out loud so much when reading a Korean novel😅

And I also love that the MC got time to travel by himself and experience diff things, I think this was crucial for his growth and for deciding what he would do infuture/ career.

However I really wish we had the ML pov I feel like we didn't really learn much about him, his own thoughts, and even snippets of his life, his interactions with his friends, his parents, and his lover... he's so diff from the MC, I think it would have been interesting to see the MC from the ML's point of view.

This was a beautiful story, and I'm so glad I decided to read it and I love the title too 'Your Distance' now those are 2 words I won't be forgetting in long while.

To the author, thank you for this beautiful story and to the translator thank you for making it possible for me and many others to get to know this beautiful story. <<less

4.4 It's like assistant architect but with sweet and funny first and very little abuse on the way.. back to fluffy sweet ending. actually, I think this novel will get u to remember ur 20+ old or think about ur current age, although they feel like full of fantasy but the sentiment was realistic for me, hit ur heart with a 'pang' and then get ur mood to all 'sigh' and.. author+ translator I love ya.... with all dedication u did for smut part LOL I really love their interaction... more>> but nit like assistant architect we knew all of the ik and out our MC ML brain.. too bad, here is just focus at our MC and we just get a glimpse of our ML attitude and thinking <<less

Oh my goooood! This was so good, so nice to read, so soft and fluffy. Admittedly, I had no intention of reading it as I immediately left on chapter 1 seeing the recommendations (not really fond of the ones in the recommendation) So I stopped immediately. Are a few days of not being able to read something, I figured that i'll just read this and did not disappoint!

Although it really has traces of the recommendation novels, it was not as unbearable to read. The exes barely even showed... more>> up and I really like the two. Good read. <<less

Smiling and laughing through almost every chapter (other than the serious bits).

Really love these two together. Second re-read, still as good. You can see the MC growing and maturing in his thought process and controlling his temper better, thinking through his actions. Really growing throughout the novel. Difference in this second read is that I realise the groundwork for his character was already there with his divorced parents childhood and having to fend for himself while pursuing an education, deciding to study in that area due to familial responsibilities. He... more>> was even able to take a step back and think even in his early tantrums. Made me like him even more.

Their dynamics is SO CUTE and FUNNY and ahhhh the fluff. The chapter endings with the witty twists from ML and MC.. So good. So well-written. How they met, how they realised, what they did after realising, the many pits and discoveries, dating sweet moments. 💯 I laughed so much through this. Especially when ML’s parents met MC. So funny. The portrayal of the age gap situation is quite realistic, and everything generally progressed at an excellent pace.

My only only gripe if I had to nitpick is

what in the action movie happened in the second half?? LOL. When he manipulated the robot arm to swing? Catch? Him when he escaped from the building was hilariously shocking to me both times I read it.

This novel is a gem. I have read novels from this site for years and this is the first time I registered so that I can rate this.

It's fun, exciting, relatable and a little bit of spice is there. This a heartwarming novel and I'm sad that I alread read it. I felt empty.

The story is just *chef kiss*. The author really show the characters development as the story unfolds. As a youngster, you can also learn a lot with this story, especially if you attend university or taking other formal educations. The beautiful story revolves around two characters with a wide age gap, one that yet dreamt to be in that age, and one that couldn't go back to that age. I cried a river at one particular scene, where the MC sings a song that is only the two of them... more>> know. Lastly, Bai Changyi is just too perfect.

and to this day, it's still the most beautiful love story ever written. <<less
