Ever since the death of someone important to me, I’ve been living recklessly. After I became a high school student, there was a girl in my class who remained hospitalized due to “luminescence disease.” This disease is named for the fact that the bodies of those who suffer from it glow faintly when exposed to moonlight, and that glow becomes stronger as their time of death draws closer. The girl’s name is Watarase Mamizu.

After learning that she doesn’t have long to live, and there are things that she wants to do before she dies…

“Will you let me help you with that?”

“Really?”

As this promise was made, the time that had frozen for me began moving again –

people are harsh, vote a novel 1 or 2 * with only one chapter out...

5* to cheer on the translater

first impression about the novel so far

... more>> a boy met a girl, a girl met a boy but neither of them have OP power or came from other world. They live in Japan not some fantasy worlds like 99% Novels in this site.

But the girl were special, she lived in a Hopital and had a rare illness, plus the Tragedy tag above, we could totally guess the ending of this novel...

only one chapter were out but we could say alot about this novel thank for a system of spoiler called Tags

Tragedy + Incurable Illness : someone gonna die for sure...

Drama + school + Romance : someone gonna heart broken because someone else died by and illness called Tragedy

Adapted + Award Winning : the recommendations list would likely have "Your Lie in April" and at least the Japanese gave the LN a good rate that totally not 1* or 2* or even 3*

hope to see of it more from the translater <<less

I just finished this novel. And I gotta say, I fell in love with it. One heck of a feels train, heartwarming romance, a tragic fate, and the courage to live on. This novel deserves five stars. The characters, the story, the psychological impact.

I recommend this novel. You'll definitely love it.

What is the meaning of life?

---A question pondered by many, but never to be answered.

This story focuses on the weight of life and death, love and conviction, regrets and desire.

... more>> Just like in a certain anime.

"Stars, too, have their own beginnings, but their own power results in their destruction. — Finite."

Life may have a beginning but death will always grasp us in the end. But that doesn't mean that we should not try to live in the present. Because as human beings, it is our obligation live our lives to the fullest.

I don't know, if this can still be called a "review" or just ramblings of a disillusioned person, but these are my honest thoughts while reading this. Because I just can't seem to dry these tears that are foaming in my eyes. <<less

I love how simple this is. No hooks, no twists, no miracles. Just a story about dealing the fact that your loved one is dying.

If you're alone tonight and feeling melancholic, try reading this. I do believe that this is one of the stories you remember time to time as you grow up, especially when you see a cloudless Full Moon.

Fairly typical sick girl novel. The setup: Sick girl cross off bucket list items vicariously with help from MC boy. The general theme: Two characters are experiencing an existential crisis and help each other move on and come to accept the lot they've been dealt.

There's nothing particularly new or unexpected going on here, but the translation stands out for how relatively natural the English sounds.

This is a brilliantly written novel. It perfectly captures the image of a boy who has nothing to live for, and a girl who yearns to live. The monotony of everyday life, the things that can change it, and the fragility of a human - this novel perfectly captures it all. I would recommend anyone who sees this to give it a try. 10/10.

P.S. Don't forget to prepare something to wipe off your snot and tears. I cried for like 15 minutes straight lol

It was a normal setting in the sick girl and antisocial boy. But I really enjoyed how they start knowing each other. Not a masterpiece for me. But it's really good. I'm don't really like fiction in anyway. But this is a easy, quick and sometimes cool novel.

Maybe it will have had a bigger impact on me If I was younger or haven't read these types of plots.

But you should give a try if you can.

Also great translation, I'm not an english speaker but I could read it very easily.
