Starts as an interesting premise, only for the story to devolve into a poorly disguised defense of fascism. Not sure if that's the translator's own bias affecting the story, but with translator comments such as "Democracy and Communism is too slow and inefficient because everyone has to agree, but a great ruler who can get rid of all the inefficient people makes things much faster, " I think its pretty clear there's a strong political bias that could be tainting the story. Read at your own risk.

Pros: funny misunderstanding, unshackled humor, decent world building, NPC growth

The plot jumps from one idea to another and is all over the place. It is hard to follow but the translator has added context to the story that made it more interesting to read. In most misunderstanding comedies, there is a main character who does things they think is normal and a third party or narrator that calls attention to their actions by monologuing what they have done is actually awesome or crazy. Gave 2 stars only because translator's efforts in trying to salvage this trainwreck of a novel.

It's your typical "protaganist with no common sense somehow make good decisions" but execute really badly.

All novels of this style have comedy as one of main pillars. Some are so good as comedy that it doesn't needs anything else (Eminence of shadow) this is the only way to kept some level of realism without being too jarring.
