Well, I can understand why peeps don't like this stuff. TLDR, it's a very hypocritical and predictable perfect MC with massive plot-hole. The predictable personality makes it boring and the hypocritical perfect personality makes it unrealistic and leaving a bad taste.

But, this novel could also be interesting to those who has already fed up with your stereotypical naive japanese MC. Yep, for those who fed up with No-killing mentality and naive MC, this one will fill your desire.

If you're looking for a similar plot, the closest that I could find... more>> is summoned slaughterer. Both MC has OP martial arts before they were summoned and fighting their own summoner. The vital difference is the MC's personality. S. Slaughterer's MC is a psychopathic killer and Wortenia's MC is a typical high school student with elite soldier mentality and skill. You can treat Wortenia's MC like FMP's Sagara sousuke, but with more common sense of normal people and has knowledge of multiple melee traditional weapon at almost master level. I won't be surprised if he knows how to handle guns/ranged weapons. <<less

This one, while being interesting, was still a struggle to read due to disbelief. The MCs behavior right after he was summoned was unbelievable. Even with all the "ninja" training in the world, the idea of a high school-aged teenager becoming a cold-blooded killer without hesitation is just ridiculous. Frankly, these isekai authors barely make any effort into setting up their plot. I love isekai and reincarnation stories, but it seems to only draw unskilled authors that can't write a believable protagonist (or any character at all, for that matter)... more>> whatsoever. It's fantasy but if you're going to draw your protagonist from the "real world" he shouldn't be able to crush people's necks with his bare hands or have the mindset of a cold-blooded killer that's still in high school. Training swords with your Grandpa doesn't give you the ability to calmly torture and kill people without batting an eye.

The bad translation and overall nonsense that occurs (MC turns off his bloodthirst to make wild dogs hesitate to attack him?) make this one a chore to read. Most of it would make sense if the author hadn't decided to use a high school boy from Japan as the protagonist, or at least had him learn these abilities after he arrived, rather than expecting the reader to believe a 16 year old is capable of all of this. <<less

I think it's time to give a review for this since I've always been patiently waiting for an update.

-The story is not bad... Level up exist (Growth or Strength), sword, magic, some limitations for them. usual stuff
-The protagonist is not mediocre but also not Saitama...
-The protagonist is a bit of a round character, some developments here and there but not too discernible, he leans toward being a straight character.
-Side-characters are a bit too underwhelming.
-Background plot is good, some scheming here and there. Some advancements for here... more>> and there.
-Convenience of the characters, a bit too good to be true tbh. I hate saying Mary Sue this, Mary Sue that since that's an overused trope of reviewers but i'll say that some stuff are really convenient for the protagonist's side.
-The writing is good at the start, then starts to worsen till the latest where it's a goddamn motherf*cking infodump. Lemme give u a solid example not really a story but almost the same. "I show you my sword. This sword's history.... From the moment the blacksmith..... The length.... The width.... The first iron mined..... Dates back.... It's first taste of blood..... Adam and Eve..... Big bang theory....." something like that. It turned into a SHITSHOW. There's some whole chapters dedicated to a goddamn infodump where it could be summarized to "The MC stood up" and "The MC sighed".

Overall:
* Story: 7/10
* MC Development: 6.5/10 (not really needed since there're 2 types of characters, a round and a straight/flat)
* Characters: 7/10
* Setting: Mediocre (Medieval-Fantasy)
* Translation: 8/10
* Pacing: Slow
* Nudity: Almost none
* Writing: 8/10 then down the drain to 3/10 <<less

Started off good but progressively got worse. Like really bad.

Author started giving chapters and chapters of useless information. To the point where entire chapters were dedicated to useless crap like describing utensils. Its not even a joke. It's totally terrible.

I rarely make a comment but this story....

Really it start good, but upto vol 4, the author start milking it up and info dump everything. Hearing cost a full volume, and up until now (even I read directly from the raw) it definitely shows that the author get confused, milking the story and became lost it.

This is painful to read. It's one of those series where everyone but the MC is brain-dead. Even he's no genius though. I usually don't mind plot holes. Most of the books I've read where people complained about plot holes I barely noticed. This one has such huge gaping idiotic plot holes that it's just maddening.

This book tries to be smart and serious but it's just hot garbage.

I usually don't write hate review but this one needs it cause because of description and starting chapters it fooled me.

story/plot- politics, kingdom building, war tactics centered. But there are many loopholes and some can't be ignored. (3/5)

protagonist -not your generic isekai one smart, cunning. (3/5)

character development -very bad. Very less information or background about his friends, loyal servants and his harem but mob character which are going to die in 3-4 chapters have more development than them, at one stage the twins became background chara who only... more>> helps MC with governing the city and to stick to him like bodyguard (1/5)

writing style- very bad not attractive and look like author is in serious need of an editor as there are many filler chapters about mood of room, and why a guy that died 70+ chap earlier is very big fool and many other useless nonsense it's like author is paid for writing extra word. (1/5)

at the end if you are going to read then read LN version as it will contain less useless info, loophole and make more sense. <<less

Dropping this novel. Started good, right now the story is full of info dump, wanna know what im talking about? Go to the latest chapters.

one chapter is like MC does something, even as mundane as walking into a room, says one line then rest of the chapter is bs info dump. And it's not only one chapter that's like this, but every chapter in this volume is like this.

I enjoyed the story but had to give 2 stars especially because the writer puts too much unnecessary & repeated information between conversation.

Pro:

- Interesting story and plot where initially none of the MC plans worked but finally he figured out another plan by working with other people.

... more>> - gradual development of relationship towards opposite s*x. As opposite of forced plot of meaningless harem from other third-rate novels.

- genious and strong protagonist, but with equal from other factions.

- decisive protagonist that can respect and handle female's love interest.

Cons:

- it seems everyone can mind-reading!!1!

- too much filler sentences. You can understand the story by skipping a lot of paragraphs and jump straight to spoken sentences only. And this is a definite deal-breaker for me. <<less

11/10

The main character is not a wimp like average isekai. He is not afraid to get his hands dirty and kick some butt.

Pro- I like the MC and actually really invested into the story

Con- The author is very inexperience and gets really repetitive with different points of views and useless details. I mean bruh get on with the plot.

This actually reminds me over Overlord in the sense that MC is not easily manipulated or thinks with his nether regions. ~Nyan

The writing style is a little hard to enjoy reading and the translation is pretty bad. The story is interesting but the MC is hard to root for with how he is written. It feels more like a Chinese novel which is not immediately a bad thing but in my opinion does not work well in this story.

The author really likes to explain every detail up to the smallest part and it will go on and on until he can get a whole chapter. That makes it too exhausting to read. You can say that if you put a title at every chapter you will Instantly know what will happen in that chapter even without reading it.

Actually planned to give this a 3 but I miscl**ked. It's really interesting if you look at how the kingdom-building progresses. But the other aspects...

The MC is, like the other reviews say, too omnipotent. The way he was built also makes him kind of uninteresting as a character. Most of the characters also have some weird vibe about them. Well, on the other hand, there are interesting characters and interactions as well.

The one thing that really irked me was the pretentious foreshadowing of the author, which can be quite exciting... more>> if used correctly. But the style was overused too much which made the writing style too chuunibyou-ish. Also, the author intentionally goes around storytelling about various characters. This in itself can work well since it gives the readers insight on the motivations of the characters, but this is also done too much. For example, the author gives a quite lengthy background story on a random farmer and why he is mad that his daughter and wife are gonna be sold as s*aves. I mean, really?

Anyway, the story is really interesting, give it a go if you like kingdom building novels. <<less

I'm really enjoying this but the one thing that really bugs me is that the reason he was brought over was because humans from Earth have a higher growth rate than humans from that world. So why is there barely any monster focus? It's a little ridiculous how many human encounters he's had and not a single arc of a dungeon or a raid.

Still four start because he's ruthless, strong from the start, intelligent, and not smug or arrogant.

Overall this novel is quite good, the protagonist is likable and the country-building aspect of it is genuinely interesting. That said I don't know if the author is on laxatives or if the tls is bs-ing everyone cus god f*cking damn it man we had a whole 10 chapters of a b s o l u t e l y nothing happening (right in the middle of a tense arc, and it wasn't just subchapter it was legit chapters full of bullshit), the author has this weird obsession with over... more>> describing situations and traits of irrelevant characters just to pad it,
Spoiler

this motherf*cking sh*t storm of padding actually had a whole chapter about some shitty Japanese food right in the middle of a tense arc with the MC heading into the king's court when everyone there is animous to him

[collapse]
TL:DR this is extremely draggy and annoying to read I sincerely recommend waiting a few years on the manga and then binge reading it cus it's articulated way more concisely and you'll have a much better time <<less

It's alright, it does seem a bit weird to me how the the people in the world and like-wise the isekai'd people think but I guess otherwise there wouldn't be a plot. The funniest thing about the MC is that for some reason he's good at everything very much a Gary Stu with no clear drawbacks to either his skills and outlook in fact he seems like too much of a perfect person to be believable in the slightest. I find myself being more interested in the antagonist characters or... more>> side characters than the actual MC.

Power-wise there isn't a clear distinction of power tiers or there is one later on but it varies so much that it might as well not exist, anyway it can be essentially ignored by the MC who seemingly easily scrapes through every fight.

Romance, hardly any although the MC is active with prostit**es and the like he refuses to get into a relationship yet or rather is continually distracted. <<less

I see this pattern in far too many novels, animes, etc.

It starts good, with a narrow focus on the MC and a few other people interacting with the world. For several arcs, that makes you interested in the characters and their interactions, and you explore bits and pieces of the world.

Then... it goes off the rails. Characters start acting like complete idiots and betraying the MC for literally no reason because "he might betray them" when literally they trusted their lives to him the day before. The MC takes a... more>> ton of timeskips where stuff is done offscreen. The focus of chapters starts to be more on world events and less on the MC; he goes missing for half the chapters.

Finally, we got to the point where every chapter would end in a kinda dumb cliffhanger, and it would take dozens of chapters before we ever saw what happened to them... if anything. And often, when it did, it would be like "and then X happened" and we wouldn't see the result, just hear about it from side characters. That's when I dropped it. <<less

Good potential but badly executed, or at least the execution getting worse. Started decently, but starting from volume 4, Author started to info dump even smallest things and repeating it over and over using different way of speaking, which made what should be an one-liner sentence to became one chapter.

I love stories that are full of schemes that made this series kind of felt intelligent just by reading it but I absolutely hate the detailed explanation that makes full use of one chapter just to rectify what was happening like "Ryouma likes eating apple. Apple taste good. They are not required to be cooked before eating thus it is simple. Ryouma loves simple thing. Thus, Ryouma loves apples". You see how incredibly s*upid and waste of times it is to read something that's being explained so thoroughly that you... more>> have to miss the plot action to be in the same chapter. And too much multiple POV is another thing that's really turn me down with this series. It's not that bad, but it's a chore just to read this series that sometimes makes me sleepy instead of getting excited. <<less
