Foregoing Huo-something (the only fun character) being Thanos snapped, the fake-in*est siblings that seemed would-be-badass-big-roles, and the many irrelevant fillers and characters, the most underwhelming of all is the most anticipated tr*shing of the Yu family.
From the very beginning we get spoon fed with the idea that MC will get her revenge on the Yu family and joining the military is just the first step. Moreover there's repeated emphasis from both MC and ML themselves, that it would be up to MC to blow the Yu family up. Hence, I thought she has/would come up with a concrete plan to deal with them like a real independent woman who needs no man.
Like, perhaps she would get achievements and build connections with some influential people (aside from ML) while having some influence herself then she would catch on with the Yu's illegal activities (they did kidnap her and possess illegal substance that made her faint) allowing her to wreck them.
But far from that, she only thought to join the military and do her best there. For how she would exact revenge, she has not the slightest idea nor did she actually think of how. She only keeps muttering revenge, revenge, revenge, by herself. One day, somehow. She doesn't even know about business. Except verbal attacks, she's totally helpless against them alone. ML has to save and protect her everytime. After a long dragging, ML finally gives the idea to jump them while they're down. But again, she knows nada about business, so she relays it to her aunt Gu. Then with ML's hand in the background the Yu's company falls in the hands of aunt Gu.
I did like MC. Who wouldn't? She strived to be stronger, enhanced herself to be more composed, and is very talented. It's just that her supposed revenge was so disappointing. So was the rest of the story, except for the shooting competition, its just the very very typical, boring and petty face-slapping. The romance was also unexciting cause there's countless of similar ones out there. I was really just here for the strong, composed, supposed-to-be-independent MC. But nada _ (:з」∠) _
- unnecessary filler character (Yan Hanqi, Ella), that makes the author seems like he has plan/ plot development for them but he changes his mind in the end
- time skip for 3 year during her university days... (i actually hope more story of her outdoor competition and the secret mission detail, but the author just brush it off
- the changes of the MC character development... I guess its kinda weird for me how she so change from dull to better (the author just brushing it off as its a necessary development for the better)
- as per told above review, the story is not quite like the description
- i don't quite get actually how the MC capability be so OP in this one while her ability is just kinda like spirit sense in wuxia/xianxia novel. yeah I know its awesome, but not too exagerated like that (but maybe it just me)
What unique:Although I feel the end is a bit rushed with little to no details about her missions and everything, it was a good read.
The 2nd lead Female Character (FL's best friend) REALLY ANNOYED ME! SO I feel pity for the 2nd Male Character. He should deserve better girls other then her.
