Pretty good comedy. It was fun to watch MCs ignoble way of life and his relation with his disciples. First disciples were definitely more interesting than the later ones. Ending was kind of unsatisfactory for me but that's just me. It has an ending, don't worry, it's just not to my taste.

Oh and for the potential reader - there is no romance. So if you care about that, then you should turn around and runaway.

Fast cultivation OP MC with a system. It's a good story to read while waiting for your novels. I gave it 5 stars because I liked the concept and the story was great before he ascended. This story if more like a parody even though it isn't one so don't expect seriousness. I don't even know why this story has the harem genre since MC has no women until the end. Speaking of the ending, it's rushed but most of cn novels have rushed endings.

I would define this novel as another Top Tier Providence but it added more tense battle. The protagonist took the cowarding style with understanding of normal novel's troupes.

If you wanna see generic xianxia novel heros get killed by MC, this novel really suited you cause I come to this novel after read many generic xianxia. But, if you are new bie, I dont think you will understand the main point that author really wanna to tell.

If you had read Top Tier Providence, you will feel this novel World Building like... more>> 95% the same. I know chinese folklores usually have many common things but many authors out there would add or change something unique to match their own style. But, this novel World Building seems 95% just copy of Top Tier Providence. Despite that, I dont feel this novel as tr*sh copy but premium copy.

The last 5% uniqueness of this novel actually make me really satisfied. We will see more intense battles. We will see how MC's system counter another cheat like reincarnator, transmigrator, lucky dude, and even another system.

Little note here, I don't really like how MC's system too proactive instead of being machine like program. It feels little disgusting. Moreover they sometime joke in s*xual content wether it is straight or non-straight s*xual content. (But, I laugh though)

The ending is not satisfying but acceptable. Author add some of his laments into the story about how his novel not sold well so we knew why he just wanna quit and end this story quickly.

My final rating of this novel is 8/10. <<less

I really like these stories where MC is very cautious, and the author is very funny at some parts, but I find that these kinds of "parodies" always end up going downhill because they just cant end at a normal chapter count.

It loses its charm in its repetition and it becomes what it was supposed to be a parody of, as the MC straight up turns into the "chosen one".

It started as comedy and ended in tragedy basically.

The disciples add a lot of color to the story, especially the first trio they're both tragic and comical.

Also Wang Cai function was not fully operated I think, which makes the story drags on, especially in the mid to late chapters.

And I'm kind of irked with how the MC is always making snide comments about women, although it was meant to be comedic, it's still uncomfortable to read. Though, he wasn't designed to be despicable lecher. I still think he deserved a... more>> beating with heels.

This story has that feeling of perhaps written by a man or a masculine person? I don't know the author, it's my only read of this author. It's lacking a sort of subtle sensibility? Anyway don't digest anything and just read through with a grain of salt.

I won't recommend this if you hate sad ending. Or sort of an empty ending. <<less

Overall a decent parody novel (for the greater part of the novel) with realistic portrayal of 'hot shots'. The system is quite novel and the MC's schemes are enjoyable. One of my gripes with the novel is that in order to understand the last third of the novel, you need some basic knowledge of Investiture of the Gods. I also find it quite unsatisfactory that

This is a pretty good novel. Interesting main and side characters, decent villains, good parody things, and an actual good ending.

The pacing is good at the beginning but it gets worse near the end. And there is some unanswered stuff and some things which should have been explained or set up more.

But it's a very good read

Decent start but goes downhill. At first, the author creates original characters with their own personalities, but as the story goes on, it turns into one of those stories involving the heavenly court, Pangu, Nuwa, Ancestor Hongjun, Sun Wukong, etc. Where the characters are taken from an already established source. If you don't know the source material or haven't read other novels with the plot involving Pangu splitting open the world and the six saints underneath the Dao Ancestor, then you might be a little confused as to what's going... more>> on as the characters and motivations are written as if they've already been explained (when the author hasn't done any explanation himself). Towards the end, it felt more like a fanfiction story of the Jie Sect fighting against the Heavenly Court than the novel itself. If you decide to read this and get bored midway, don't feel bad about dropping the novel as it doesn't get better even at the end. <<less

I have mixed feelings about this one. Most of this is good, the Main Character is a cautious type protagonist and he gets a system where his strength increases as his Disciples strength increases. So, he takes desciples and most of the conflicts comes from them, their past enemies and what not. Then it turns out our MC has a super secret background and the strongest beings in existence are targeting him, that is also fine. It was good seeing the MC hide his strength, occasionally dealing with enemies then... more>> hiding again. Upto last 30 chapters or so. In the last 30 chapters, everything changes. Turns out there are even more powerful enemies, MC has an even bigger background. And his personality changes from a cautious type to hot-blooded xianxia protagonist. There is vague explanation provided for his change in attitude, but it's very jarring and it completely messes up the tone of the story before this last 30 chapters. For those who have read the ending, I think it would have been better if the last 30 chapter never happened. Hongjun dies in the final fight in Heavenly Court. Nameless Sect becomes the ruler of Three Realms and everyone lives happily ever after. <<less

I don't know if I can describe it, but it's like if you build a cultivation world and looked at MCs from position of onlooker. They get these opportunities and luck and do all their face slapping. Our MC kind of adopts cannon fodders, and his rules are heavy on run and don't fight these cheats (fairly). Only fight when you can win 100% otherwise escape.

I feel bad for a few of the hot shots, like some of them weren't too much and sometimes payback was worse than what hot shot did.
