I am a system. Everyone calls me Golden Finger. I am intelligent and as gorgeous as a flower, desired by all. I have carefully selected a host who is s*upid and cowardly, unmotivated, and absolute tr*sh, one who can best show off my wisdom and brilliance. I had originally thought that in this place which reveres alchemists, I would be able to work with my host to refine godly elixirs and accomplish great things.

But I’m starting to realise, something isn’t quite right…

This totally a romcom, so the plot shouldn't be taken seriously at all. It's about MC, the former emperor of a huge empire, and his 12 godsons, and his discovery that actually... not only was his empire not as great as he thought it was, but he was a pretty damn shitty emperor.

It's really funny up until halfway but starts to taper off after that. The last 30 chapters are just ??? I have no idea where the author was trying to go with it. I almost started to doubt... more>> my ability to read because I knew the words but I couldn't understand anything. <<less

The story is hilarious but a little shallow. I feel that I waste my time. It was really good at first but eventually went downhill.. There were encounters with a lot of chara yet they were not mentioned again. They just come and go; Likewise with the situation problem ... more>>

original owner ning's origin is a prince and the MC should rule his nation yet it was not mentioned again ever since he travels to ye ying

The MC, kong wuying of yeying, living for 1000years, died and transmigrated into the body of ning Zhao living in minguang. All nations thought that kong wuying and all yeying people were insidious (which was partly true). The MC didn't know that yeying and his godsons still adopted his words during the war thousands yrs ago til the present peaceful time. Hence yeying people's are a bit cruel and cunning in their approach.

All the people who get to know MC in his previous life and present admire him or fall in love with him. The ML and one of his godson, almost got him r*ped, but none of them succeed. The MC topped the ML eventually. The system is not present most of the time, I wish the author polished this novel more.. I honestly feel pity about this novel because it was so hilarious and good at the beginning yet.. I didn't what happened to the author and it became lacked in everything. <<less

It’s actually pretty funny haha. The main character is the one who the system chooses. He’s super blase about everything because he used to be the ruler of the neighbouring kingdom to the one his body belongs to now.

Ohlala what I like this story! The MC is just great with his jaded temperament. The system is an endearing little idiot and the ML is so shameless that it's funny (◍•ᴗ•◍) ❤

The translator does a good job. ❤

The first half of the novel was fine enough for a shallow read, some of the ideas were interesting, flow and characterisation decent.

All of this vanishes very suddenly in the middle, the whole story up to that point collapses and gets dropped, the change is so crass that I was wondering if I accidentally clicked on the wrong link.

Alchemy, cultivation, being a teacher, everything no longer seems to exist, side characters are completely forgotten, even ML's initial setting is never mentioned again.

New characters are introduced at an incredible rate, they... more>> all have the same 'voice', behave nearly identical, impossible to differentiate if the author doesn't state their name.

The worst change is the shift to (sexual) perversions, s*xual harassment and attempted r*pe come up in nearly every chapter, the author tried to sell it as comedy but it ends up being nothing but tasteless.

Even cannibalism and necrophilia aren't off limits, she worked hard to include as much messed up content as possible – it's an ineffective overkill.

Some aspects pop up again out of nowhere, for a couple of sentences, like the system that plays no real part anymore, or MC powerleveling his alchemy so the topic can finally be forgotten for good.

There's no rhyme or reason to the second half, it's obvious that the author didn't have an outline and wrote whatever she came up with, no matter if it fits the rest of the story.

I might have given two or three stars if it would have stayed a tasteless comedy, at least the story was mildly interesting, but I had to drop it to one because of the sheer chaos this novel has turned into. <<less

Live this story way too hilarious and enjoying the MC. Much appreciation to the original author and translator for bringing this work to life

Update. I have as enjoying it until the in*est plotline was brought in with the MC 's adopted children and the non consensual scenes with the MC's puppet where suddenly MC's IQ and strength goes offline and is tolerant of his yandere puppet. One of the scene is almost straight up r*pe

I think in the beginning it was very funny but kinda fell off. I think the system should be more involved in the story. The story kinda gets hard to read and a little confusing. He was not that great of a leader as he thinks. I do like the ML I haven't got a feel of the other characters so will have to wait for more chapters on that. The translation is great so I'm thankful for that.

The lack of context provided for multiple paragraphs and sentences causes confusion about whom the subject is talking about. For example, if there are 4 people being talked about in the one sentence, and they are all referred to as he or she, you have no idea on which one is which. Whilst it's not quite so exaggerated, it is a pain to read.

The plot is ok, but the writing quality is poor.
