Description

The protagonist was a normal high school girl. One day, she was reborn as the villainess marquis’ daughter, Rosalind Stanley, who appeared in an otome game. While living to avoid the tragic fate that meets Rosalind in the game, somehow she raised the heroine’s flags.

“Kuh… Cute! Such cuteness!? Is this the charm of an otome game heroine!?”

Could this perhaps be a yuri development!? Even though there was no yuri component in the game!?

However, as the heroine was cute, it couldn’t be helped. The villainess enters the yuri route!

Mixed feelings. The main theme of this novel is yuri love, so in that sense, the last few chapters along with the ending are alright, even maybe quite satisfactory. However, the author literally throws everything else out of the window, f*cking the MC and every character we've met prior except for the FL, and the MC is just like ‘meh.’ She had been literally preparing for over 12 years just for the war, only for all of her efforts to go up in smoke in 2 paragraphs, then skip to... more>> ‘happy ending.’ If the author wanted to write a somewhat tragic plot development but with a happy ending, they could've done much better.

If it only were a girls' love story, I would give it a 5/5, but given that there are more or less 12 chapters before it starts, it feels like I wasted my time, because literally nothing before that matters. I don't know how people don't have a problem with this.

TL:DR: wasted potential, could've been so much better. Yuri ending is good <<less

This story gave me a very contradictory feeling. I loved the story in the beginning and the middle, but at one point it took a VERY abrupt turn and then suddenly everything was over. I'm not convinced! The ending's not "BAD" bad, but this story could have been SO much more, it had so much potential. It feels like an axed manga that had a buildup of 200 chapters and just before the mid-point reveal they released a double length chapter 201 conclusion. END. Yeah... no.

It's still decent... but yeah.... more>> I hate iron for not becoming steel. <<less

Nothing. No hard work or anything. Without her brother, she couldn't learn swordsmanship, horse riding, etc. I was scoffing when her brother thanked her for her 'hard work' for causing more troops to die.

She didn't really care about their deaths and just focus on living a 'happily ever after life' with the 'heroine'. Why was she even called a 'heroine' when she couldn't even do anything other than being a decorative glass?

At the moment only 3 chapters are released, but so far the story looks very promesing.

The story is not set in the typical otome game school setting, but still retains the funny and intresting bits that make this setting apealing.

Futhermore the protagonist is going an intresting route. With the impending war setting she can`t go the typical reincarnetd-as-the-villaness route and simply not be an a**hole, since she might be killed off regardless. That forces her to find a strategy to survive that doesn`t consist simply of charming the capture targets.... more>>
Spoiler

In the 3 chapter we find out theat she takes sword lessons, so we might be able to expect some cool action sence where she saves the heroine

[collapse]

The story seems to go in an intresting direction and might develop in something truly unique.

Edit, After finishing reading:

Dont bother with it. The story is cut short, the potential is wasted and the character behave both unnaturally and out of character. And dont get me started on the ending. It`s basically just f*ck all, makes no sense, ignores everything the MC did before and only serves as a lazy excuse for the auter to ignore his entire setting. It is obvious that she somehow wrote herself in a corner, and instead of trying to find creative ways to continue the story she just decided to end it in one of the worst, most annoying and unsatisfying endings possible. I would now rate it 2/5 (with one pity star for the world-building that was ignored after the first few chapters)

It even made me read raws. The plot is really nice. Whole novel is really easy to read. One disadvantage is that the chapters are really short (the same for whole work). It could be a little longer because it has the potential but the ending was quite good so I’m not gonna complain too much

that was quite a down to earth read with all those death coming at you out of nowhere x') it wasn't a bad read, the translation were quite good too. I'm not sure I want to read this again though since that's not really a happy or satisfying novel.

After being intrigued enough to read further into it past the translated chapters using google translate this is what I have to say;

Following stuff may contain spoilers or set expectations that're different from what you may experience. It's up to you if you want to read further.

Spoiler

I think I'm strangely into these josei or yuri novels even though I'm a man. Perhaps it's because I'm a man that I'm so intrigued by them, regardless of what the answer to that is, this novel is quite the snack - the only way to describe it since it's quite short but fulfilling story nonetheless. Starting out as you would expect of this niche 'reincarnated into villainess but because you're actually being different from how they were in the game/whatever media it was in there's this and that changes happening' genre or whatever it quickly develops into rather mild intro and then quickly ramps up into a full 100% in quick few chapters, however despite the timeskips prevalent and details glossed you're not feeling like you're missing out on much. Quick tempo to be sure, which some people dislike.

That tragedy tag there? You don't notice it until late into the story but it's not what you'd expect, although being foreshadowed almost explicitly - you don't actually think much about it because really, how many times did the "Downfall" Event actually made it's appearance in it's full force? About half the time? So it hits you when you don't expect it and it does good on it's threats.

Character development is nothing stellar even so I believe it to be the one of if not the key element story that pivots the plot. You see how this disliked in the game older brother develop turning into something more than an unpopular choice, to become such an important part for the development of others it's like he's the deuteragonist or a tritagonist if you consider the heroine to be the second protagonist.

The bad guy is fate itself. The flags, the triggers, the setting. These characters, these people are fated to fall into a certain timeline of events. However monkey wrench thrown into the machinations - changes caused by our protagonist sets it into another route. Yes because of the changes fate chose the absolute worst outcome of bad end to the heroine, To everyone involved. But the outcome of this Rube Goldberg invention is something else, something that falls outside the scope of fate, a future truly of their own, this story ends, but their story, TRUE STORY is just beginning. Brought upon by none other than our protagonist and little help from her brother.

Till death do them part. Or so I say but with reincarnation involved the first time. Maybe, till death do them part in this world.

it'd feel more complete, but sadly it just feels like a forced happy ending. You can't have a badass MC that defies all tropes if she just... gives them up???

There were also many things that were forgotten or just mentioned a little bit.

Maid that ran away??? Hello??? Where you at?? Family that died? Her brother??? Where's the despair???? She literally just left her people to die and they didn't bother writing more about her feelings towards it?

My current spree of stories I've been reading has had the issue of a lot of them being low-quality grammar. So this was quite nice to read with the translation quality.

Yuri is the best as we all know, but there hasn't really been anything happening in that regard so far. It is only chapter 3 so that's probably the reason but still.

The story does seem to be looking nice and am excited to read more.

It turned out to be more underwhelming than I thought it would be. Maybe I would have like it more if it was longer with better fleshed out interactions between the brother and MC. It felt very rough overall.

A short but sweet story, it all flowed so well. No one acted silly, and the ending is a tiny bit bittersweet. Definitely worth reading. I only wish it was a bit longer.

My personal opinion is this:

The story was a little fast pace. However, it wasn't bad either. To be honest, I liked it. There wasn't an arrogant prince just waiting to condemn his fiancée so he could be with the Heroine, one of the many things I hate about this genre.

Spoiler

It's sad that the brother had to die though. However, I have to respect him for giving himself for his sister's happiness.

Decent enough. The story was short but even then it felt like it took forever. Everything in this could've been built upon more.

The plot was definitely above average to say the least. It could've used more work to make it more fleshed out, like more than one perspective for example, but it was good enough.

The romance and yuri, the reason why many of us likely read this was honestly disappointing. The meeting between the MC and FL took forever and even then, it was only until the END that we... more>> got common interactions between them. Even then, the yuri was underwhelming. All it does is tell about a kiss here and there. The kisses are so damn under-detailed that it feels like it was meaningless. The build up towards the relationship was satisfying nonetheless but the relationship itself was eh.

The MC and FL are good enough. The FL and other characters feel one dimensional since we never see or hear things from their POV. There was a lot of potential with some side characters that could've thickened the plot but the author seemed to want to focus only on the MC.
Spoiler

A female servant, Arai got with the opposing countries prince. I though the author would've used this to do something about the war, even describing the prince as proactive but nothing came out of it.

[collapse]

The translation was great. There are a few grammatical errors in rare instances but it's not something you'll notice if you're absorbed into the story.

I'm giving this a 3* since it was decent but not some next level story that would make me come back to re-read it. It even felt a bit boring since I couldn't even integrate myself fully due to the lack of details. For you though, this may be different. <<less

The worldbuilding is great, and the story is excellent for most of the novel till a few chapters before the epilogue.

Spoiler

In the last few chapters, the story completed skips the "story" of the invasion arc, despite some interesting plot threads raised on the Valhallan side of the border. (I'm looking at you maid-chan)

Spoiler

The author kills off the Best Bro too

The epilogue is great, but there's quite a bit I can't help but feel is missing between the second to last chapter and the epilogue.

The writing and world building is god-tier quality.

The tropes are flipped on their head and I love how the author plays with these routes dynamics for it to turn into something totally unexpected.

the protagonist does actually think things through and tries to set up the best outcome which is good.

I cannot wait for more updates and see how things turn out

I didn't had much expectations when I started this novel, but, as it developed, I fell in love with it. This novel is so cute. I loved to see Rosalind and Eugenie falling in love, cutiesss. And the sibling relationship between Rosalind and her brother is so beautiful!

Although I had a good time reading WRV, I think the end could have taken more time. I'd like to read the protagonists showing their sadness, grief and process to heal. And also their life with the children they wanted to adopt. And maybe the actual war could have more scenes... But it might not be the author's point, and that's fine.

at the start I really liked it. But coming to the end I felt it left to much of details, like the knight and also leaving her brother and leaving dint fit right you know. After all she was very attached to him, and when he told her leave she leaves just like that. Moreover may because I liked Rudolf more then main characters, so I didn't want him to die. Except that I fell everything was good.
