Q: Can’t I fall in love with the heroine of the game… I feel like I spent more time in that world than in the real world.

A boy, abandoned by his parents, became absorbed in the world of video games.

“Knight of The Giant” is a globally popular title.

So much so that he became the world champion of the VR robot fighting game. He devoted his entire youth to the game, even falling madly in love with the two heroines of the game.

But only one of them could be saved.

“I lost one of them in this shitty scenario.

I want to save them both.

Even if it’s a predetermined scenario.”

It was this obsession that made Kenya complete a quest that had been deemed impossible. With the manipulation skills he devoted his youth to, Kenya creates a new route for the heroine who has fallen madly in love with him.

Suddenly, a congratulatory message appeared on the screen.

“Congratulations on a fantastic victory!

NEW route has been released, would you like to try it?”

Yes

No.

And so the story began.

The story of a socially awkward high school student who is just good at games. A boy who could have been a hero if the world had been different.

“Good Luck!”

With that message, the vision went dark.

.

.

When I woke up, I was standing in the world of “Knight of the Giant” game. The flag flying over the school where the game takes place. But they were not flying the Japanese flag.

At that moment, Kenya remembered the setting of the game.

“…Right, Japan in this world. It is being invaded.”

Basically mecha Code Geass but a WN so the quality is lower

Novel moves at blazing pace, constant fighting is slightly fatiguing to read.

Everyone is too nice even by JP standards. Dialogue feels unreal and overpolite. The two heroines aren't given enough time to grow on you.

Overall not terrible but pretty mediocre.

This novel is definitely much better than the other novel that came from the same translator, judging from only the first few chapters.

MC isn't that much of a plank of wood anymore, author doesn't try to tell everything with a long and boring narration, and character interactions are pretty interesting (although cliched as hell). Is this novel unique? I don't think so. It still follows that same "Gamer MC isekai to another world and becomes OP as f*ck" that we see a million times before (unless you're new to this... more>> genre somehow), but so far still a pleasant experience, at least from my part.

Same as the other novel, the translation is still messy and unpolished. Inconsistent pronouns (ugh). This is such a common thing in translated web novels and every time I come across it, it still bugs me so much. Also the unnecessary spacing, and some sentences still do not make much sense. <<less

Entertaining as of now, nothing ground breaking but you know what you get with this kind of series, mechas, fights and love interests, if you like these then read this.

The translation is not the worse but it can be a little bit hard to follow, still quite readable tho so I won't complain.

This story is very good. If you read the series "Villager A Wants to Save the Villainess no Matter What!", then this series has similar type of world development, except for the harem. The world building is good, though the relationship development is a bit fast.

MC is a literal simp for his 2 girls, and ... more>>
Spoiler

In the end, he only marries those 2 girls. There is a scene that he replayed the event in the first chapters that he did to open the secret route and transported to the game world. That scene is similar to the scene in Zero no Tsukaima, Saito faces a whole army alone to protect Louise

[collapse]

To sum it up, it's a good read for both brainless and plot lovers. <<less
