I possessed a R-19 BL novel.

I was the wife of an obsessive maniac.

Daphne was a character who was killed by the main character while bullying the main character’s lover.

To escape from this death route, I thought I should disappear quietly without intervening between the two of them.

I can get divorced, take alimony, live a new life, and live as I want.

Looking at the eyes of the two main characters, I only looked for a chance to leave.

I finally declared Cesare a divorce.

“We’re getting divorced.”

But this obsession reaction is weird.

“Did you have an affair with him?”

Who?

“Gabriel, the s*ave I brought.”

… I didn’t cheat…?

“I’ll be your new home.”

Why are you saying something that could be misunderstood? Weren’t you all gay?

Why are you doing this to me!

Edit: Dropped. The collective s*upidity of the three characters' was only funny up to a certain point. Now, it's just the literal definition of idiocy, especially on the FL's part, and I'm tired of it.

Original Review:

Honestly? The lack of proper communication, the misunderstandings, the sheer s*upidity and the collectively shared ability of reaching delusional conclusions of the main characters... all of it is baffling. And I say that with a 4 star review because if it were in any other story with a different premise, I'd drop it after maybe... more>> 2 chapters, BUT, this novel manages to make all these frustrating and irritating clichés simultaneously hilarious and entertaining! Shocking, right? I know!

The heroine is dumb af. The ML is dumber, and somehow the award for the dumbest and most delusional character goes to the Second ML. BUT in a VERY good way lol. I know my review is contradictory but you'll have to read it yourself to understand. Although, I'm curious to see how far this keeps up. Up until now it's entertaining but I don't believe I'd feel the same if this continues for another 40 chapters. No, that would be a massive headache and I'd drop it at that point. I hope at least some of the misunderstandings do clear up by then.

Especially Daphne's thoughts on why Gabriel came back. Like, no girl, he's not after your husband's booty. He's after your oblivious ass who still thinks this world is following the original novel when two of the significant characters, your husband and yourself, have completely gone off track since the very beginning.

It's a good story. Apparently, Gabriel was doomed from the moment he entered the household to be a source of conflict. ML was doomed to be jealous of either MC or of Gabriel. And that's where the MC's misunderstandings come from.

I really like how this story doesn't drag on like some others. At the end of chapter 12 she's asking for divorce. I like how she doesn't drag it on like others. She realizes his jealousy was getting too much and decides to dip out before it gets too late.

The FL were so stick-to-the-plot 🫤. I mean I get it, I keep on reading it till 50 ish chapter because I keen on seeing how obsessive love grows BUT, she's so dumb dumb??!! She didn't even remember even though she transmigrated to a novel she's still in a reality! How can her character be so blind omg 😭 I usually would always love all type of obsessive love and yandere male lead but our male lead here were so... monotonous (?) well, the story plot itself are monotonous. Simply... more>> revolving around FL somehow got entangled with Gabriel > ML founds out > ML got jealous > ML beaten Gabriel up > She still didn't realize whats happening. Furthermore!

I don't usually drop novels, but I really can't continue reading this. This should've ended at like, chapter 60 max.

The beginning is amazing, that's for sure, love the jealousy of Cesare over Daphne looking out for innocent and bullied Gabriel (it was cute and funny)... even the attempted runaway and subsequent capture (all within 24h) was kinda hilarious. Then Cesare and Daphne cleared up their misunderstandings and affirmed their love! It should be hot (or, as hot as non-R15 or R19 novels can get) and fluffy times from now on,... more>> right?

Unfortunately, no it became a repetitive hot mess. If I remembered correctly, my summary above was until around chapter 30. After which, it was multiple versions of Daphne getting entangled with Gabriel, Cesare finds out and get jealous and beats Gabriel up, Daphne going "Omg, Gabriel is here to steal my man!"

There are novels out there that has a strong start but lacks a little in the middle because of setting up for future plot points. This, just features 3 educated and socially powerful people making their lives more complicated than it should be. <<less

the FL is so goddamn focused on the "original" work that she fails to realise the reality of her situation and really thats the cause of it all

also the translation quality is rather lacking but just barely passes as readable

2.0 stars just cause the romance was fun to read

I know what I have read was just the beginning, but I can't help but drop this novel, or maybe pick it up again after a while.

The misunderstanding (about ML and 2nd ML nonexistence romance) is resolved quite fast, so as a person who enjoy light-hearted misunderstanding, I was quite disappointed.

At this point, the ML is quite toxic, a typical cold and possessive ML you'll see in most romance fantasy novel. The FL is oblivious but kind with ulterior motives. All in all, the world building, character building is so-so.

The... more>> reason I rate this one 2 stars is the translation quality. I feel that the translator just dump the raw chapter in google translate or whatever they use to translate, copy it, paste it, then post it. The pronoun is confusing, the grammar is confusing, even the word choice is confusing. (Ex: Gabriel is a s*ave, but in a single chapter, he is a s*ave, an owner, a master. This happens because the translator opts to not edit it and just post whatever the MTL translate).

I thought the translation quality would get better as the chapters went on but no. So I chose to free myself from hurting my brain and dropped this novel. It's quite a pity cuz this one is funny in its own way. <<less

I like how it is going so far! The misunderstanding is very funny in a good way and the summary happened in the span of 12 chapters. Just like in the title, her husband is obsessive so if you love those kinds of leads, then I highly suggest you read this one. He started to become "well-mannered" because he's jealous with the guidance of his aides so he'll probably improve (I guess). I hope that Gabriel will end up with somebody nice because honestly, he deserves it!! Camping for more... more>> chapters!! <<less

So the novel is pretty much your average every day trauma dump by the author. Hence the idea of having more than one lover and the acceptance of current day culture which is blatant surprise surprise... Anyway ... more>>

it's mentioned by the MC that her parents forced her to decide if they should divorce or not which obviously is messed up and will screw up a child but when reading it I obviously got hey this is my trauma vibes so just putting that out there.

To be honest, I think it's too early to say, but it has a very interesting plot. It's a bit funny to see the confusion, a bit of jealousy, and lack of communication can make things worse.

Originally this is a BL book where are s*ave and a Duke are in love more like a toxic love and the female lead is the one who originally tries to stop their love story but in current life.

She's the love of the life of the Duke and the s*ave who's now a Crown Prince is in love with her but kept on brainwashing herself into thinking that The CP is in love with Duke.

She keeps on thinking constantly the story is going to the original plot but it is far beyond the original plot.

Tried to pick this up after dropping it previously, but I can't do it, esp after reading others' reviews of how it doesn't get better.

Part of the issue may be with the translation quality, but most of it is just me not being able to stand the FL herself, nor how the story's written. She takes the whole isekai cliche of "MC thinks characters won't change even when she changes the plot" to a whole new level. Even when she FINALLY registers that the ML is now interested in her... more>> rather than Gabriel, it doesn't sound like she stops treating this world like a BL novel.

Also even though I'm not super-far in, I'm sick of the story in general. 80% of it is just her inner monologue rambling on about random crap- how obsessive her husband is, how she just wants to live, Gabriel's body, etc. A little is fine, but it seriously is just TOO MUCH. Even when she's having a conversation with Cesare, we'll get one spoken sentence, followed by a full page of her internal rambling, then another sentence, then more rambling. Nope, she's an idiot and I can't do it despite my love of obsessive ML's.

I do enjoy that we get other characters' POVs, that's one good thing. But between hating the FL and not being able to understand the story well (no offense to the TL, just that the translations aren't the best), I'm dropping. <<less

Review: As of ch 12

Unapologetic, humourous, and fun, the series is off to a great start. The series makes use of cliche in a light-hearted, playful manner. As for the three main characters (Daphne, Cesare and Gabriel), I like the dynamics so far. As for the reason for the differences between the current and previous timeline, I don't care because it really doesn't matter due to how fun of a read this series is.

This was really good in the beginning, but I've dropped around ch 30 or so because the MC and ml’s misunderstanding was solved and they’ve started getting all lovely dovely which was awesome. However I dropped it because it wasn’t as interesting anymore, but I know that there’s still more plots to unravel such as ... more>>

the FL is going to get kidnapped, getting deceived by Gabriel (the sub male lead), eventually got imprisoned by him, and FL did divorced the ML later in the novel even though she didn’t want to.

After reading this completely, I must admit it has a somewhat interesting yet generic storyline.

The Relationship between Duke and Duchess is quite cute (Daphne and Ceaser). The ML with his puppy-like love and Daphne who actually realises his feeling for her even though our ML doesn’t.
