Yin He is a cannon fodder in a cultivation novel, but unlike other malicious cannon fodder, he knows he’s annoying.

He understands that the Sword Master, the top cultivator in the world, only took him as a disciple because he owed his family a favor. The seemingly gentle Senior Brother finds him troublesome and spoiled, and even the newly accepted Junior Brother looks down on him.

However, Yin He doesn’t care and continues to live as a carefree, malicious cannon fodder every day.

Until one day, Yin He wakes up and notices his eyes are a bit red. Then… the arrogant and domineering cannon fodder suddenly starts tearing up whenever he gets emotional.

One day, Yin He struck the Junior Brother’s palm in the name of teaching. He looked pleased with himself for a second, but then his smile froze, and a tear rolled down as he looked down.

The next day, he deliberately broke the Senior Brother’s jade pendant. As he watched the Senior Brother pick up the pieces, Yin He cleared his throat, trying to sound fierce, but his voice suddenly started choking up.

Where do I even start... so the MC is frustrating. Seriously he is beyond frustrating. Judging people from the future that he has seen BUT has added the butterfly effect to of course the future is gonna change. And after changing the future he still is thinking that everyone is gonna be the same. Like boy be fr.

At the start of the novel I did enjoy it but as it went on it became boring. The romance just... suddenly appeared??? Tbh it felt so forced in my opinion and it... more>> didn't even seem like the MC liked the ml. And the ending was so rushed that I literally felt like killing someone because I came here because of the mpreg tag!!! I wanted to see child care😭 and all that. Also I hate when they are like the child only likes the MC (mother) and not the ML (father). Like what??? And the ML also doesn't really like the child??? That's bullshit. Seriously I f*cking hate sh*t like this. Even if he's a so called dragon not loving/feeling anything for the offspring is such bullshit. And if this novel did continue I just know that they were gonna add the rivalry between the ML and the child (they did add that) 😭🙏 that in my opinion is just s*upid af.

Also I was just really rooting for the 1st (2nd ml) and the 2nd (3rd ml) discipline of the ML to get together because in my opinion they would have been such a cuter couple than whatever this is.

So in my opinion if you want to pass time and read something frustrating and brain rot this novel is for you!

mj-99 pretty much summer it up. I honestly wanted to avoid the reviews and read this without any spoilers to get my own feel for it, but it really was so accurately put in mj-99's review.

The MC had a victim mentality about a future yet to come. He labels people without trying to understand their point of view. He can be a decent human being and not be toxic to the people around him, but just won't drop his pride.

There is no character development from the MC's part and honestly... more>> this MC seems like he would be the villain in a transmission novel where the ML sees the villain for who they are and eventually ends up with the transmigrated protagonist.

I couldn't finish this because the MC's rude behaviour along with him acting like it's justifiable to treat others poorly, was just getting to me.

The sudden beauty was also annoying af. Clearly one person In The novel stated that the MC was suddenly much more handsome than he was in the past. This just showed that he had a golden finger in the form of a 'beauty buff' and a 'crying buff' because even the book thought this guys personally was just too wicked, so inorder for EVERYONE to fall in love with the MC, they needed to literally trick the people around him with beauty, crying and a tender skin to make him seem more enduring with that toxic personality. <<less

Really wanted to power through till the end but couldn't

While the story idea by itself isn't bad, the author constantly drops plot threads that don't lead anywhere.

The MC is also not particularly likeable, he's selfish, has a victim mentality and rarely tries to understand other peoples point of view. It's right there in the summary too, he's actively trying to 'bully' his fellow disciples but can't control his tear response. When the story said no one liked MC, I figured it was the book plot and MC would eventually be... more>> white-washed. But actually MC really is that proud and haughty and refuses to bend even slightly. The novel tries to soften him up at times but it makes things worse because it just shows that MC knows how to behave but doesn't because of his 'pride'. His main thing is that he's 'honest' but really he's just rude. The Senior brother he hates for being 'hypocritical' is actually just controlling his dislike and tries to be fair and understanding to everyone. That is expected from the Senior most disciple. However in MC's eyes that's 'hypocrisy' because the guy doesn't scold people to their face or show obvious dislike or walk away when he loses his temper. Ridiculous.

The second Junior Brother who falls for MC is just an irritating nuisance. But he's most similar to MC funnily enough. Because they both like to assume things and make up their own reasons for things and then get mad about it. It's not funny and I started to hate every instance he shows up.

It's also irritating as heck that MC never reflects on his own behaviour nor do the Senior/Junior brothers. They all hate each other and are genuinely awful to each other constantly. It's only when MC finally does some good things that the others change their behaviour. Which makes sense! Because the MC sucks!

The novel outright says that MC never trained properly so his cultivation was stuck, he didn't study properly so his knowledge is poor, he constantly looks down his nose at others so he has zero friends and! These are all actual things MC has done! Nothing to do with the novel, it was all him. So why would people respect him? They're all working hard and this dude constantly does nothing. If the novel had made it a part of MC's character development then it would've been fine but instead it tries to convince you that MC is just a tsundere and no one gave him a chance. Which is blatantly untrue as there are so many people and opportunities when MC finally decided to get up and work for his cultivation instead of complaining.

And then the ML is the most powerful sect leader of the world and MC is untouchable 🙄

frankly I liked that MC was seriously training and expected more character development but the novel just becomes more s*upid as time passes. <<less

The ending was so abrupt that I'm still choking.

Yes, as the tags say, it's mpreg. MC is a novel character who gained consciousness and knows that the world is unreal. Knowing the plot, the MC remains true to his self, a pampered young master of the family (not really, it's rich family politics, benefits and gains only). MC gains a golden finger which is a system (that's what MC thinks), and for two-third of the novel the MC has rather good relationship with the Mr. System and receives first-hand training... more>> and lesson to gain breakthrough in cultivation from Mr. System. In the meantime, Senior Brother and Junior Brother start to see changes in the second brother (MC) and their feelings also start to shift, however, hilarious situation ensues as MC remains prejudiced against these two based on his past experience and plot knowledge.

The novel is light-hearted, without much twists and barely any evil character to pay attention to.

All in all, it's a good read. <<less

Okay if you've got nothing better to do with your time and are just wanting some low commitment brain rot that you can abandon once you get bored.

Would have been much better without the vague novel and past life references. Added nothing to the story and was often delivered in an out of sync off handed way. The MC could have as easily seen his future in a mystical water mirror and the story would have been much and much.

The book started out so well. The MC’s personality was straightforward and refreshing. The way he would actively argue with his senior and junior brother and point out their hypocrisy was so funny and satisfying at first. AT FIRST. But those kinds of conversations just keep repeating and repeating. Even his thought processes were the same. Don’t get me wrong. I hated the other two at first but even when they changed their attitudes and when they have literally done nothing to the MC, he would still start petty arguments... more>> with them. He kept thinking how much of a hypocrites they are, how they must be plotting something when they try to help him, when really, it’s the MC who’s overthinking everything just because he’s seen the book plot. Normally I don’t mind it much when a character can’t seem to grasp the fact that his actions can cause butterfly effects and change the whole plot but Yin He is just a bit too much.

At one point, he threatened Yan Xiao (the junior brother) about how he knew YX’s feeling for their Master even though he JUST thought about how in the og book’s timeline, YX wouldn’t have fallen for their Master yet. And then the MC even had the audacity to get mad that YX got mad at him for accusing him of something he really wasn’t guilty of. URGH the MC’s self righteousness is truly something else.

There’s a thin line between a cute tsundere and an annoying brat and I’m afraid the MC’s the latter.

The only thing I like at this point is the ML and their relationship. But even then it’s frustrating how the MC still hasn’t figured out the ML’s identity even at this point. The ML’s not exactly going out of his way to hide it.

The only thing getting me through this book is the scene when the two leads would get together but it doesn’t seem to be coming any time soon and the MC’s bratty nature is getting too much for me. <<less

i really, really liked this novel. It was boring the first few chapters but I swiftly finished the entire novel in one sitting! The ending had so much potential and it could've extended for at least 50 more chaps.. Ending was way too abrupt.

I can’t read the extras I’m cryinggggg. I wanna see the pregnancy and wedding journey but turns out they are in the extra and can only be found on jjwxc which I can’t register for. Can someone tell me if they are able to do that outside of china?

anyway I like MC personality, arrogant outside big softie inside. How MC and ML met was kinda typical so no surprise there.

Now I get a feeling I think the slightly low rating was because the story could have a bit more extras or more chapter to really feel like a true ending, but the author chose to end it anyway. 😅

Because believe me... This novel is SOOOOO GOOOOOD!!! One of Hidden Gem. One of a Rare Kind where there's no Scheming or Conspiracy between the Cultivators. No Villains. But every characters is Fun and Enjoyable to read!!!

Every characters! Even MC's Senior and Junior brother who he had hate but those two... more>> end up unhate him and fall for him. Lol

Almost feel sorry, but not really. Anyway I love how the author don't paint them evil or make them unnecessary villains or bad people whatsoever. Though MC still dislike them anyway. Lol

But I also love how MC is quite level headed. As long as no one make trouble to him, he won't scold or being brat.

Truly, I love how everyone feels like a real people, flawed but fun to read!

And talking about the ML.... we all love him! Being so Helpful and Supportive of MC, but also no Overprotective. And yet also put line between MC and his disciples who fell for MC.

He's Possessive, but not Yandere nor Overbearing. He's Smooth talker and absolutely SOOOO LOVING and true Gentle toward MC.

MC and ML probably fall around same time. Their love is just Natural and Smooth journey. And absolutely Love the reaction of everyone toward their relationship when they announce it.

Seriously, this novel is Far from Boring! It's Light and Great!

Would love to read more novel like this.

Seriously, how I wish the author write more...

The MC is a brat. I decided to drop this book because the MC was too childish and immature for my liking. He frequently threw tantrums and acted in ways that felt unrealistic for someone in his situation, yet no one in the story seemed to take him seriously. This made it difficult for me to stay engaged with the plot.

  • It was kinda boring the first 30 chaps but after that? I couldn’t stop smiling and laughing!
  • The interactions between MC and ML are so naturally heart thumping! It makes me really squeal and smile uncontrollably
  • The interactions between MC and his sect brothers are funny too
Dislikes

  • When the MC and ML got together, the story became not as detailed as before and it doesn’t feel as good, like they are ooc.
