Dark Girl X Cold Ruthless CEO Dad: A Story of Redemption

Huo Ning accidentally transmigrates into a female-oriented novel, becoming the pitiful daughter of the story’s antagonist.

Huo Ning can’t stand by and watch. She not only latches onto the antagonist for protection but also helps him escape the protagonist’s plot armor, even personally sending their enemies to prison.

Relying on her own abilities, she gradually changes the antagonist’s storyline while healing the original character’s trauma.

Just when she thinks things are moving towards a brighter future, she unexpectedly finds herself in trouble…

I have mixed feelings with this one.

The first part of the novel was pretty good, in fact it set up the story for a whole twist I was SO IN for but that ended in nothing, which was such a missed opportunity.

The transmigration event turning out to be the traumatized child creating a whole other personality that wants to live so she can survive? THAT CONCEPT WAS SO INTRIGUING.

I def thought it was going there. Especially with her having those cryptic dreams.

But at some point in the story those stopped, and, in my opinion, I feel the writer changed their mind.

All things were closed in a very rushed way, plus the therapy ending was done in such a brief manner. It made no sense.

It's not just that it didn't go where I thought it would go, but even having gone to where it went, the aftermath was handled kind of sloppily. Such a shame.

Now, I'm on the last and second part of the novel and I'm dropping it less than 10 chapters away cuz a feeling of "what's the point to continue reading" came upon me.

Either way, thanks to the translators for bringing this story to us all. <<less

I don’t know why the rating's so low. This novel is one of the best! The characters have complexities and the MC is far from annoying. Her father might also be one of my favorite father. There’s also not much of plot holes. Anyways this novel has angst but a good one! Even I, who is an angst hater was able to read this. Sweet story between daughter and father. No romance..

Probably one of the few novel father who felt hurt and sad about the difficult life his daughter had to endure and who changed his life and himself to help his daughter. I don't understand how one of the main issue in the story got solved but other than that the story is well written,

Such a caring father!

I love reading childcare novels but in most novels the child grows up into adulthood in less than 30 chapters and starts a romance and the parents only ever spoil the child. Not much for caring. However this novel didn't disappoint me although I wished the child didn't suffer so much the father actually cares about the child it's so sweet and sad.

I loved this story even the parts the author overlooked and didn't discover fully

One of the best novels I have read in a long time. Please don't let the rating influence you - I don't know what happened but this is deserving of at least a 4.8 if not 5 stars. This is a daddy-daughter story for the ages! Seeing their relationship and trust grow from day 1 is absolutely beautiful. The darkness and sadness is portrayed realistically. Everything is perfect and I was honestly sad to read the last page and know I wouldn't get anymore.

Absolutely incredible, amazing, heart wrenching, heart warming-

The characterization of all characters is impeccable, very realistic and well-rounded. The character progression is gratifying and beautiful.

I really fell in love with the characters.

... more>> A beautiful, really heartfelt and real take on the Transmigration troupe. No inexplicable OPness for the MC, and I very much agree with the moral outlook and message about family and parenting that they are giving.

10/10 Writing style and emotions (there is a good balance between "Knife in heart" and healing, and familial fluff)

Absolutely amazing and as an addict to the Childhood Protagonist and Family genre, this can absolutely, be a top contender.

Main theme, Healing and Learning and growing to love and trust your family.

There are some loose that I feel could have been addressed

the girl in her mind, whether she really transmigrated or was it psychological trauma? And if it is, then the way they concluded she got "better" was not really wrapped up well. What about the supposed system notification at the beginning? The ending was slightly rushed imo, would have appreciated a more indepth and incharacter pov of the dad.

But for a read with the attitude of wanting to see Familial love with good moral out look (idk whatsup with the popular "proving worth and convincing I'm worthy" it's so toxic and very mich representative of the Asian mentality)

Absolutely loved the serious discussion and attitude towards the trauma and discussion of mental illness (Asian country have very strong stigmatism of this, so I was very surprised and pleased to see it addressed ethically). Also yes, the parents should absolutely suffer a bit for their past neglect, cause thats what actual love is like (unlike the others where the kid is ab*sed but once they gain favour they completely ignore the past)

Anyway, yes I very much loved this novel, would recommend if u into the above

Short summary, there's so much tr*sh, brainded, meaningless garbage that books with substance like this, I appreciate all the more <<less

This is a very sweet childcare novel, without the awkward child romance. It's just about Ningning and her daddy.

While they have a short period of wariness between each other, they quickly become as close as you can be, dad quickly earns Father of the Year with the care he puts in and it's interesting to see both of them slowly change for the better.

Love this novel, if you enjoy slice-to-life family drama with a touch of heartache, this is for you.

When I first picked it up, the rating was a about 2 stars and there was one review stating that the rating was crap and this was a gem and I can say it sure is!

The novel is a coming of age story focusing on the bond between a father and daughter as well as overcoming the psychological burden of being ab*sed. It is well written and thought out, though there are some places there had not much clarification and could have been further developed but it's still an enjoyable... more>> read.

The story ends when our girlie turns 18 so there isn't any romance to this story.

Do read if you would like a sweet warm story filled with inner struggle and familial warmth! <<less
