It could have been a good story, but the writer's writing style and characterisation are so sub-par that it's just really cringey.

They repeat and insist on ML being super cold, super cruel, super disinterested, and of course super OP, in every single chapter, sometimes more than once.
This is not how you write a convincing character, it's like he has 8-grader syndrome and tries really hard to be a psychopath just to show how different he is.
Don't tell me how I'm meant to see a character, don't brutally force it on the reader by exaggerating the characteristics you desperately want him to have. This isn't how this works.

Worse, the writer completely lost the way they wanted to portray ML as.
It starts with him being disillusioned, hating people, no longer caring about anyone, and then goes straight to him wanting to kill the MC without an actual reason. Just because he can.
His characterisation swings between both variants like the writer couldn't manage to chose one and stick to it, he's battling with the impulse to be good but can't because he's so disappointed in humans.
Okay, so he's meant to be a good guy blackened by injustice and becoming full psycho? Then this isn't how you do it. Not at all.

MC isn't any more believable.
He's millions of years old, worked his way nearly up to the very top, yet he behaves and thinks like a toddler.

I get he's meant to be the innocent uwu bottom... then don't make him millions of years old, with millions of years worth of life experience!

The romance is as good as you would expect from this mismatched characterisation, it's a completely mu*derous lunatic sexually preying on a child.

Worldbuilding makes equally little sense, rules either change in the middle or things happen that simply don't conform to the world's logic.

The novel is just extremely juvenile, this is either a debut work from someone who didn't bother to learn the basics, or it was done for the lolz and never intended to be taken even half seriously.
Which would have been fine, intentional tr*sh is great, but than at least be honest about it instead of baiting people by presenting it as a proper novel.

It's really nice, it's just that there's a second couple and I'm not much into that.

The system isn't too bad in a sense that the author didn't made it too oblivious, it knows and accepts what's going on with itself although I don't get why MC systems always have a nice innocent personality like you've existed for million of years and that's all you know? It's a very devoted and loyal MC, which is hard to find in Chinese novels who mostly like pampering the MC and making the ML... more>> look evil like a pe*vert. <<less

It's a sweet story I think.

The ML is very op from the beginning. He was created to be strong so no hate there. I'm quite happy with the ML. He actually show some growth. He learns to love, to care and take up responsibility even if all he wants to do is to be lazy and sleep afther all the hard work he'd done before meeting the MC.

This Novel is Truly Absolutely Adorably FANTASTIC!!!

The System aka our MC is soooooo Adorable! Childish and Cute, and Super Naive, that's what make him so Precious! Even more Precious because he doesn't fear our ML. He's no Human, that's why he has different reactions and emotions facing many different situations. That's what make him so Lovable and keep looking at ML differently. My thoughts: The story focus more on cosmic karma? If I call it that, Our MC is somewhat ignorant in many ways which could deter people of the likes but I will not call him s*upid because his ignorance is almost aphaphetic only seeing his own form of good and bad

Which is great for our ML, speaking of said ML I like his character growth though subtle in story his care and softness was shown in a way I haven't seen... more>> in a long while, That is he loved the MC in a way its almost pure with no lust and no dirt.

Regardless of how excellent the story is, I don't usually post reviews, but this novel forced me to. Not because it's excellent, but more because I was so disappointed. I advise anyone reading this now or in the future to stop reading it as soon as the translator finishes translating it. I was rather uneasy about Yu Ti's (side cp) story for some reason. I decided that I will not read the side stories and end this novel at the main story to not make me dissatisfied and my accumaled good feelings to this novel will not be gone. This decision was made from the translator review and from this site review. I considered too that I'm not yet prepared for any dogblood.

Not bad, but not good. Lots of inconsistencies with the ML's characterisation, let's not even mention the MC, who is 50 million years old with lots of experience yet acts like a child.

Also, the amount of 'dark and deep eyes' I read about the ML is funnily enough, not funny, and way too repetitive. So many descriptions about his eyes 😭 like pls have some variety like fingers moving, eye brow raising, or just more of his thoughts in general.

The side characters are all morally grey, but most importantly, frustrating... more>> and annoying b*tches and bastards that deserve more than just a slap. Like Xu Lei guy, sleeping with another woman (much less your gf's cousin) despite still liking your gf IS cheating for a matter of fact.

Yu Ti and Yu Bo look like they're gonna be a couple (annoying bit*h Lu Ke needs to get her entitled ass whipped cuz how you gonna treat your ex bf like sh*t when he was forced to have s*x with other men to save you?) and yes that ex bf is Yu Bo (poor guy has PTSD now, throws up being even near men and Lu Ke even tries to get him to commit su*cide). Yu Ti's group disgusts me aside from the girls (e.g. Chen Jing) since they dont have any opinions.

Overall rating is a 3/5 cuz its just average and more there for the fluff and slice of life between the MC and ml, but the second couple does have some draggy moments. <<less

Storyline of the main characters alone may have been a wonderful light read. But side stories that are entirely irrelevant to the main, and with poorly written 2D characters just keep popping up. Sometimes taking up a couple of chapters without the MCs. Not to mention the side couple 😓... Very unappetising. At this point where the author has basically lost focus on the MCs I’m dropping it.

I was thinking of dropping this novel for a while, and now that the translator decided to stop, I think it's the perfect time to do it.

Although I was really interested in the beginning, honestly the novel got quite boring after a while. I'm not particularly fond of any character and that includes the main couple. ML just seems like a psycho and MC is very ignorant (not as in idiot, but as in he's not human and doesn't understand anything about humans or their culture and customs) which just... more>> makes this a miss for me. I didn't think they had any chemistry either, to be honest. ML is either always sleeping or being extremely possessive of MC, and MC is either always being overly annoying (to me, not to ML) or worrying way too much about ML. I swear a quarter of the novel is MC overfeeding ML. This dynamic can be passed as comedic, the problem was I didn't find the antics funny, which just got me annoyed lol

Also, later on the novel will focus a lot on the side characters, and I found myself just skipping paragraphs because I didn't find their points of view interesting.

I might come back and finish reading the story one day? It seems we're getting to the heavy backstory and then resolution part so maybe I might finish and rate this more accurately. <<less

It was good, I really liked the dynamic of the MC and ML, at first it seemed a bit ugly how ML treated MC but then it was just sweet sweet and sweet, there was hardly a single episode without being fed dog food, and that oh yeah, that was great.

3.5 stars rounded up.

I really like the first half of the novel as the interactions were cute and the premise was quite unique. But I think it also wasn't what I was expecting. I was expecting a bit more of a world hopping setting or a more generic system set up (where there's a plotline since they would be in a "world"). But there was none of that.

The whole book is basically in the apocalypse world and there's no real plot line for the world. There are antagonists with their own system even but there is no plot from them either. I actually quite enjoyed reading the antagonist POV and their own downfall from trying to pit against MC and ML.

What I didn't like about the novel was that there was many plot threads that didn't feel well tied up at the end.

Like what happened to each antagonist? It was like after a while the plot just moves away from them and moves on. Then there's quite a large crew of side characters that I actually wasn't sure who was who towards the end. Like oh that's the lady who had a child at the start of the novel.

Another thing was that I actually felt quite bad for the side CP:

I think was 0178, the bad system? Their relationship was probably very toxic but kind of still wanted them to have a peaceful ending. It kind of ended in tragedy. Then the extras kind of confused me because suddenly everyone had different names and I wasn't sure if I was reading about the same people as before and if they had a happy ending? Also I was speedreading at the end so there was that.

99% of the time, 0329 wasn't even in human form (but a ball). I mean, I get that the story is about a non-human and a "human". But yea. I think I can't even look at it as a romance. It was more platonic for 99% of the novel.

Is a good novel thought the romance is slow and there are some stories of other characters in the middle of the story, although is not bad but some of those stories really make one mad, also I skipped to the end and the gender basically completly changed to gods realm.

I feel very conflicted with this novel, I really love the main CP but the side characters are really hit or miss. I hated Yu Ti for being a pushover but gradually liked him but ugh the villains, they made me so mad and felt like they overstayed their welcome.

It's interesting. You'll get hook, if you want to relieve your boredom. I like the interaction of both MC and ML but the last side couple (brother of ML x brother of mc) got me bored especially the extra's story where there's so many characters popping out that got involved. It makes me skip all the most scenarios related to other characters and browse the main and side couple but you'll see them sometimes coz its mostly involved with other character with systems related, chaos related, god/heavenly related so I... more>> dropped it down. <<less
