So far the story is good! We have a manly MC (her father made her dress up as a boy growing up, MC is recognise as the seventh son of their family). MC is really strong in martial arts and we also have a Crown Prince that is so picky! Thankfully he's not gay! He's just overly narcissistic and concieted. ?? Both of them are precious offspring of their family, the only princess (which is a secret?, people thought she is boy except for her family & relatives) from a martial... more>> arts family and the only prince from the emperial family.

MC is calm and always insulting the crown prince on her mind.

The crown prince is wary of the MC that she will overtake his beautiful appearance LoL!?

While in many historic novels it's a little woman (or that at least appears to be delicate, pretty and small) MC/FL and a cold faced cold blooded ML (those ice bergs type good at fighting)........... here we have a stoic cross-dresser girl from a big jianghu's clan (tall, good in martial arts, handsome and cool) and a narcissistic crown prince (around the same height as the FL, with a pretty face, no good at fighting, quite sissy) LOL

Though I wouldn't say that it's a type of story that only follow... more>> the mc/FL, it actually shows a lot about the ML's point of view, so much that in some chapters makes you wonder if he is the actual MC........ well, it can't be helped if the MC/FL is actually a boor, while the crown prince is so lively and interesting things happens around him ¯_ (ツ) _/¯

The comedy is gold! I wonder if they will be both be able to mature hahaha <<less

All I can say is the crown prince Chu Xun is extremely uncute but also very cute at the same time, you really want to pinch his cheeks and reprimand him.

As for our MC- too awesome, very handsome, calm and has a good head on her shoulders.

This is an adorable must read!

I love this story to the bone. 😍😍😍 Its quite hilarious and funny. 🤣 I laugh my ash out with their funny interaction.

Its not an abrupt ending but Its like a summary. It lack small details but the whole main point is clearly stated. So its okay for me.👍

Try this out its worth your time for fun read. 😁

ML give so much point to the story. Hilarious, annoyingly cute, dramatic, but his character development made me like him more. As for the female lead... Very charming, cool, and mature... Make one's want to lean on her shoulder haha

From the synopsis, the MC and ML's dynamic seems really interesting! I've read too much generic novels featuring the ancient China setting that it's all blurring together. I hope the MC won't turn into the typical shy, blushing maiden and the ML won't become the usual stoic, domineering man.

  • no personality from either the ML or FL
  • there is literally no comedy here, the only thing that happens that apparently the author and everyone else that voted 4+ is the ML being abused literally every single chapter and being treated as funny because whats more fun than a male being abused
  • so much inconsistency
  • lies about how the ML will mature later on, he never changed even after time skips, guess what happens first thing when he appears after timeskips? he gets his ass kicked instantly bcs FUNNY, it was one of those moments where he was trying to save someone and be like I AM HERE TO..... [save you] and he got kicked into the face by a dirty shoe and got his face swollen like a pig apparently and dirty, thats literally first thing that happened to him so no lie about him being literally physically abused every single chapter and being considered comedy apparently
  • MC is pretty much a mary sue
  • no ROMANCE, and I mean it, nothing ever happens, why tf is it tagged as romance, I swear what is this novel about, no romance, not much political problems, literally the only thing that predominant here is the ML getting abused 24/7 like what the actual fk was the point of the author writing this novel fr, this author is literally the person that will laugh at a man getting kicked into the groin in movies, this author will literally side with Amber Heard even after all the proof from Johnny Depp's side if she will even read it to begin with, this author is literally the person on twitter that will call someone an incel/sexist if they don't believe anything said by a woman without proof

This is simply hilarious. I can't stop laughing after some times. FL is jianghu's female warrior. She's a calm, innocent, and a bit dense. ML is the Chu's crown prince. He's a bit narcissist and also a tsundere. They met when emperor appointed FL as crown prince's study partner (because FL was raised as a boy so emperor wasn't aware that she's actually a girl).

I really enjoy their interaction thorough the book and after many separation, I'm relieved that they finally get their happy ending. But still, I'm a bit... more>> disappointed because the ending seems abrupt. So many things left without closure in the end.

  1. What about Zhao Mo Ran? After FL annuled their engagement, there's no mention about him again until the end of the story.
  2. Where is old master Mei? On account that he doted on FL so much and his dislike towards imperial family, surely he won't let FL to be empress so easly, right?
  3. What about Tao Xiao Xian and sixth master Mei? Do they really end up together? (In the story, it's mentioned that sixth master Mei already had a fiancee).

Enjoyable book with role reversal - manly FL and hilariously girly narcissistic ML. Loved the inner monologues throughout the story. Ending - I agreed with some other commenters- was a bit rushed and perfunctory.

The story has a good premise but the execution is so slow and the romance is a bit frustrating. The ending is especially frustrating.

There's only 1 chapter left and the author just had to make the leads separate again, they had to do another time skip, one year later, he finally found her then.... cut scene, end. It's not even a slow burn romance. It's completely ambiguous on the FL part, although she explicitly said she doesn't hate him and she doesn't like other men aside from the ML. It's really like a block of wood romance.

A good part of this novel is the comedy. The FL is tsundere, the ML is a narcissist. There's character development. The ML turned from a narcissist crown prince to a wise monarch, the FL stayed the same though. I think the author made so many unnecessary plots that could have been spent more on delving the OTP's relationship.

Kudos to the translator for doing a good job translating. This could have been a good novel based on the premise, it was very promising but failed to tell a solid story. <<less

It was a nice story, with parts that dragged on way too long and parts that would hve needed further lingering in. The ending was super abrupt, along with all the romance parts. Maybe not worth this many chapters, as clearly the writer was not fully immersed anymore by the end. That said I really liked the banter and adventures they had, just don't expect a finished work when you read it. Many characters were introduced but never finished, and some were completely forgotten.

Though the ending is abit rush to me. Overall is good. Also this is a comedy novel, don’t expect too much. Some people might not like our ML but I think he’s really refreshing. Full of flaw yet full of love and cuteness. Our MC is a low EQ type while ML is tsudere type. It’s like the reverse of novel setting. All the side characters is lovable and very distinct.

Funny and light-hearted to read to pass time. The focus of the novel is clearly the comedy, so don't expect complex plot or characters. The prince does grown up from a silly and superficial person to a more competent and respecteful prince while the female character doesn't have character development.

If you are looking for romance, I wouldn't recommend this novel. There is little romance and it is mostly used for comic effect.

My major complain is the abrupt ending. The author probably didn't know how to end the novel, so she... more>> basically cut down the last (pointless) arc and wrote a final summary chapter reaching the classic "and they all lived happily ever after" <<less

Loved the start of the story, found the middle boring and the end unsatisfying.

To be honest this book wasn't that good. The only thing that made me enjoy it was the ML and his growth. I also loved when the ML and FL were young. That was the best time!

Later it just became so boring. The only thing I was reading the book for kept on dragging. I wasn't reading the book for politics or martial art, there are better books for that than this. I was reading it for... more>> its unique FL and ML. I wanted to see how they would survive in ancient times as such an odd couple and grow and learn together as a couple, so imagine my disappointment when

they didn't get together until the last few chapters! And even that was lacking details and chemistry. The only intimate moments were forceful or one of them was knocked out. Even their first time together was narrated by the ML's maid. Poor him because he had been waiting for over 5 years for that. Lol

The end was so unsatisfying! First the author separated them for one year and ended novel just the day they met again! No wedding. Nothing about FL's family. No extra about their future. Just "yeah I was on that island oh and here's our child."

I really enjoyed the first part of the story when they are young. The FL is fun and tortures the ML with quotes from Mencius

After the first time jump it is OK, still fun

The last time jump is in the final two chapters. The ending was too abrupt and unsatisfactory, it’s like the author got bored, nothing was resolved, we are left with way too many questions and loose ends
