I picked up this one hoping it would be a light read and because it's short. Well, it's a bit frustrating. Not because of the plot, though. Everyone around the MC is being either or both pushy or/and a busybody, and the MC seems to be quite a pushover too. I'm feeling a bit mentally claustrophobic over his surroundings.

I mostly enjoyed it. As the other reviewer said, the people around MC are a bit... pushy for lack of a better word lol. But I don't really think it's because MC is a pushover.

It's more that he's a laid-back and, very accurately describing himself, "lazy" easygoing person. Going with the flow because doing otherwise might be too troublesome. And I think this energy just attracted people like the ML.

When the reason they ended up parting in the first place finally comes up, it's pretty understandable. I was thinking it... more>> was going to be a huge misunderstanding, but it was mostly brought on because of them being too young at that time and not really having the brain capacity to communicate as teenagers, who were also in fear of the persecution they'd receive for their orientation.

Overall, an ok read to pass the time. It had the added bonus of having some explicit scenes and a sexually proactive couple. They do finally learn to communicate and find the balance that works for their relationship. <<less
