A famous website had a live farm channel with a very special anchor. In the fish pond where he worked, the smallest fish was at least a meter long. Whenever people got close to them, the fish used their tails to smack them.

Visitors felt that it was impossible for someone to eat one of these fish in their lifetime.

Then one day, Yan Ran arrived at the fish pond. This new boss was not only beautiful and exquisite, but also an excellent chef. After that, the style of the show changed.

A really cute story, a relaxing romance, no annoying dogblood stuff, just quite relaxing to read in general. Even if the ML kinda feels like a "domineering president", he surprisingly has more character than other "domineering presidents". The characters are vivid, and there are a lot of funny moments to read.

There are obvious plot holes, however, that don't affect the plot or reading experience. I think it's still good to read, though I don't really like reading this kind of novels.

This novel is very cute and fluffy MC is a lucky cat and I really like how many famous people try to give him opportunity to work with them but all the time he only thinks about fish and at last even when he worked with them it was just so that he could advertise something or for increasing the length of his fish farm I like the way he is not greedy and knows how to enjoy living life. let me be the first to review this book after finishing it completely. im not sure if there are any extras after the 124 chapters tho.

plot summary:

MC is a cat demon (who is considered very young compared to other demons) and is sent away to another village in the mountain after his grandfather sent him away (which is when a demon grows old and needs to integrate into human society and not being abandoned) where they own this large fish pond and basically all the land and mountains/hills around it.... more>> so what his duty as a demon is, is to help grow/benefit human society, he originally just wanted to raise all the fish in his pond and turn it into a fish farm and basically just repair and better his village but later meets the ML (an ancient and powerful koi) who guides him to improve his cultivation thru the entertainment industry (power of faith) after being spotted in his (future) right-hand man's live stream. He gets really popular for his cooking and later goes into acting even gaining the title 'film emperor' towards the end of the book. not only had he transformed his original village into this amazing tourist attraction filled with all kinds or demons he had recruited to work for him in the zoos/aquariums/restaurants giving those demons who would find it particularly hard to integrate into society a chance but also to maximize the enjoyment of tourists, not to mention how cost effective it was!!!! my favorite would be when he had the haunted house with actual ghosts scaring and being scared by humans!

while all this is happening the MC and ML (a huge figure in both demon and human world) have cute and warm moments and finally get together. not to mention they adopt a super cute baby dragon and raise another kid who is considered MC's bro.... yeah so its basically a heartwarming journey of how a lucky cat conquers the heart of a 3000 yr old fish demon along with completing his goals to become the richest cat and taking along all his demon friends....

its a very simple but pleasing story-a light read. no excessive drama, no conspiracies, no c*ckroach villains and also a light romance between a cat who loves to eat fish and a fish who wants to destroy the food chain!!! XD

while its a great relaxing story I dont deny that there are many obvious plot holes, they dont affect the main story line but it would be good to know since it was mentioned-or in this matter NOT mentioned!

-who were the MC's parents

-the MC lived 100 ears in the mtn with his grandfather and had no formal education, so apart from cooking and a bit of cultivation what had he learned?

-when you dont age how do you get out of the human society and return after becoming a celeb?

-how has the ML been living in the human society for 3000 or so years without making humans suspicious of his unchanging appearance?

-what exactly is the grudge between the ML and the dragon race-the full story not just who was involved !

unsatisfactory things:

-quick ending (mostl satisfactory tho)

-children were hardly ever brought up and were not much family interactions

-ML was too quite. it was ok in the beginning but later it just felt awful when he seemed to hardly speak to MC just give slight smiles and one syllable sounds.

-the MC didnt do much in the entertainment industry but like 2 movies one MV and 2/3 cooking shows and a couple live broadcasts.

-lack of side-stories and romance

-disappearance of some side-characters suddenly never to be mentioned again : (

******overall it was a great read some flaws but it was a great light-read and had many cute/funny moments that would make you laugh!!!

if you're tired of books with a lot of scheming and negativity read this to calm the mind and heart in between!

So I was curious why there was a 1 star vote despite there only being two chapters plus I was super curious about the summary so I checked the first two chaps out.

the MC is a cat demon. That is why he can catch the fish so well. Because apparently he's a cat. He can also cook fish well because even tho he's a cat he's got human tastes. Except it also mentions he doesn't know humans that well? I suppose he learnt how to cook in his demon village?... more>> Eh.

So. The plot is, MC gets kicked out and now lives in this human village (I was sort of confused cuz I thought it was a yao/demon village since the MC brought like a hundred kilos of dried fish and the housekeeper lady just casually picked up his luggage and the only comment about that is because she's strong so like I thought she was strong due to being a demon but it turns out she's just used to heavy lifting...) MC's family owns the pond full of demon fish and it seems cuz he's a stronger demon he can fish them easily?
Anyway a live-streamer is there and it gets filmed and such so it's probs gonna be about that for a while. It seems to be a little like the other cooking bl but surrounding fish. The summary implies the koi king might be the ML but I kinda hope not because um that's a bit weird given MC's a cat who loves to eat fish. I dont know. I'll read more when more comes out but I'm not really feeling this one tbh <<less

I greatly enjoyed reading this!! （・∀・）The cute MC Cat who loves to eat fish and the domineering & lazy ML Koi. (=①ω①=) Of course, I will also never forget the right-hand man of MC.. The silly Erha.. （〜^∇^) 〜

I like his MC nature and also that he sticks to his original goals. I honestly want to see the interaction between the MC and his friends while on Kunlun Mountain. But unfortunately there wasn't, there was only one friend who came and even then there wasn't much interaction. For ML, I don't like him. Yes, I like the ML characters that are common like in many novels, namely cold and aloof but warm to the MC. But ML here is not like that! He was very lazy even talking... more>> to the MC. Yes I know he listens to the MC but there is no meaningful response other than, yes, um and okay. And also I want more interactions between the elders on the mountain and the MC. Nothing tense and everything went very smoothly. Oh, but the monster form of Jiang Yang (ML secretary) reminds me of the MC in Don't Discriminate Against Species, he is in the form of a rabbit but is very strong and can eat dragons. <<less
