I was the second wife of a noble with a son when I transmigrated. Personality wise, I am a selfish, hot-tempered and hysteric woman. The relationship with my husband is completely cold, an existence shunned by everyone. But, my son is super cute. Because magic seems to be usable here, I will live with my son happily.

The story is good, the characters are interesting, and the cute interaction of the MC with her 'Son' is probably the main saving grace of this story.

However, I can't, I just can't...

The MC basically transmigrated into the body of the neglected Second Wife of a noble. Yes, a second wife, more like an ignored concubine, and yet, from where the story is going, it seems that the Husband is the Male Lead.

... more>> Nope, just a Big Fat Nope for me.

I might give this another try in the future (in the FAR off future) if there comes a time where the MC divorces the Husband... hopefully... if not, oh well, time to learn Nihongo to search for more transmigration novels. <<less

Before you read this, let me give you the warning that I wish I received before I picked this up: there will be a lot of baking involved. Perhaps I would have enjoyed this novel more if I knew that this would be the usual a normal reincarnated Japanese but a pastry-making-genius who also brings modern-like objects to the world. Yes, the mother-child relationship moments are adorable and heartwarming, but I didn't get enough of it. I felt like out of 4 chapters, 3 is about her making sweets or... more>> the like. It wasn't the plot I was expecting so I was disappointed. I tried to keep reading, but her idiot kept on showing. Why does an adult and a mother with a powerful background and powers need to ask permission or be afraid of anything? Ahhhh!

Give this a try if you're into sweets making in another world, with the side plot of childcare and, of course in a reincarnation novel, magic mastering. It's not bad and, I'm sure, has plenty of potential in the future; but I won't be sticking around to find out. (3/5) <<less

Even though it only has 4 chapters in, so far the story despite having short chapters are still satisfying and fluffy. The interaction between Wirbel and Amelie is very cute and heartwarming. Recommended for people who likes slice of life and heartwarming family stories.

Absolutely typical transmig story about MC who brings about ideas from her original world and is super OP all while pampering her son.

Somehow, she adjusts way too fast from teenage student to doting mother. She's some kind of cooking/innovation god and every idea she introduces is 'fresh and unique and no one questions her sudden change in personality, attitude, and specialised knowledge in fields she's never shown an aptitude in.

But the worst part is her skill in magic. How ridiculously skilled and powerful despite her lack of training that is.

Spoiler

of the top of my head, the first attempt at a simple barrier magic creates a dimensional barrier over the entire mansion, she's the first and only to sew magic in clothes which miraculously heal a half dead bird who touched it, her first circulation of magic results in her HOVERING FROM SHEER MAGIC PARTICLES, she easily turns water into ice, makes a tree walk because it's too heavy to carry and she's 'clueless' throughout about how OP she is even though her maid constantly tells her and she herself acknowledges the weird reactions people have. BUT GET THIS EVEN THOUGH she knows ice magic is impossible or whatever she decides to MAKE IT SNOW OVER THE ENTIRE CAPITAL FOR A FEW MINUTES and makes the excuse of oh it's at night and dark no one will notice the ilLUMINATED SNOW in this WARM COUNTRY THAT HAS NEVER SEEN SNOW. I can't. She brushes off it all with oh well my son is happy fufufu

[collapse]

I don't hate OP protag from another world with new ideas but when it's made into such a joke where the people of the world are amazed by everything even by something as simple as having an information booth.... I can't. Additionally, her interactions with her son aren't even very prominent so the cute factor is at a minimum and she's such a lacklustre protag I feel nothing but frustration for how amazed people are and how they worship her. It's not a relaxing novel, it's not particularly funny, it's not even heartwarming and thus it fails in the aspects it markets itself with. <<less

I love it. The idea that a woman reincarnates and decides to live her life for her son is so heartwarming. It differs from other reincarnation stories with female protagonists, and that's what drew me in. I just can't wait for the next chapters.

Rather than Reincarnated into a selfish woman, it's more like Reincarnated into a (formerly) selfish woman. Seriously, thanks to that title, I wasn't that motivated to read this series; what a blunder.

The heroine regain her memories of her previous life and decide to change into a better person. No drama, just a heartwarming life of a certain Duke's (second) wife. I don't know why but somehow it's fun to read. Maybe you should give it a try when you feel fed up with RL problem and just want to read... more>> something light to reduce your stress. <<less

Hmm, how should I put this? It's a light and fluffy read and it's translated well, so read it if that's what you're into, but a couple of things annoy me. It's fine that the protagonist transmigrated for absolutely no reason while she was sleeping, whatever. It's fine that people change their opinion of her as quickly as it takes to make a cake. It's fine that even the husband, whose character has yet to be elaborated on in any way, doesn't seem to hate her at all, even in... more>> the beginning, which makes the synopsis pretty ill-informing.

What DOES annoy me is, firstly, the protagonist's alleged s*upidity. I say alleged there, because it feels fake.
Spoiler

She doesn't want to be seen as a god of food or magic or have any aspirations for having her own merchandise brand, but goes along with such things anyway and 'accidentally lets slip' information that essentially makes people want to worship her, when she knows that's what's going to happen when she opens her big mouth. Does anybody read Quickly Wear the Face of the Devil, or maybe I'm Scattering IQ to the Protagonist, or There Will Always Be Protagonists with Delusions of Starting a Harem? Yeah, those are all yaoi. No, that's not relevant. She reminds me of the 'white lily' protagonists who are actually manipulative monsters. The way everything just always goes her way is extremely illogical. It makes me think that she isn't the idiot, everyone else is by buying in.

[collapse]

The second thing that annoys me is everyone else's s*upidity.
Spoiler

I get that, in a world of magic, technology is going to be a bit behind what a world of science would have. However, this world is so incompetent that they don't even have measuring devices for ingredients? And their idea of sweets is piling in expensive sugar for a less than mediocre taste? And queues and proper business management is completely foreign to them? What does magic have to do with those things?! If anything, they should be hella' good cooks, as it's essentially alchemy! On top of that, magic is mostly useless unless you have the protagonist halo, so why the hell would they be so underdeveloped? If it's like this, then they shouldn't be living in buildings! How would crappy magic-reliant citizens know basic construction?! They should all be living in caves, working hard with their inconsequential mana to start a fire! Oh, but how would they know what a fire is, the magic wielding idiots!

... Sorry, I got a bit 'fired' up there. It is the worst sort of world-building, though, when the author makes the world incredibly incompetent just so some transmigrator can come along with basic knowledge and get worshipped for it.

[collapse]

Long story short, I came to see a woman transmigrate into tr*sh, slowly build trust with family and friends, and become the perfect mom. What I got was
Spoiler

a woman transmigrating into a hysterical woman who had her reasons and was not hated by anyone, quickly getting the trust and friendship of maids, children, and even the allegedly 'cold' husband (lies) through the power of sweets, and was already the perfect mom through her son's eyes pretty much as soon as she first smiled at him. The story isn't about that, it's about getting her ego stroked by anyone and everyone, including the first wife. I understand stories require a certain level of suspension of disbelief, but there's a limit. I honestly feel really cheated.

Lately I am reading a lot of this childcare genre this days. Still this novel is good but I think it would be better if it was a daughter like haruha hahaha.

What would you expect in this childcare novels are:

Cooking
Child Raising
Money Raising
Mariage Problem
Dotting family

Score I will give this a high score of 4/5.

It would be hilarious if the jp goverment is the one behind in this childcare boom genre lol.

A very light-hearted and fluffy story. Cuteness overload!

The MC is a regular Japanese girl, who woke up in a body of a second wife. While falling for her irresistibly cute son, she navigates through this new world and tries to build her own life. The viewers watch her go on a path of redemption, as she builds up a whole new reputation, while also revolutionising the world with her modern knowledge by inventing various things and stunning everyone around her with her ideas. It plays on the typical cliche of... more>> the clueless protagonist, with a lack of common sense. Furthermore, although the interaction between her and her son are very cute - and definitely the most endearing point of the novel - it is a bit questionable how easy she accepted her role as a mother. As you can already see, it falls into the typical plot of an otome game transportation novel. Although polygamy is involved, do not expect any schemes or intrigues like in Imperial Harem novels. Therefore, definitely recommended for people looking for something lighthearted or a break from all the palace drama and other angsty stories, like me. Personally, I cannot stop reading the novel, it is so addictive and so incredibly cute. Her interaction with her son are heart-melting and it always leaves you wanting for more! <<less

It's cute, but the characters are very flat and the sheer ignorance of the characters is astonishing. It doesn't make your protagonist look smart when she tells them they can do math on paper or how to make potato flour, it makes them look mentally subnormal.

This novel is cu~te! I like the fluffiness of the children! Kyaa~ kawaii desu! I was always smiling when reading.

  1. But the other characters should be a bit deeper, I want to have a good grab on their personalities. They are way too transparent as they are introduced here...
But you will be disappointed if you're expecting romance. And ... more>>
Spoiler

In my opinion, the ML isn't her husband (I don't know why you think that) but rather the man in her dream (ch 50).

[collapse]

I wish the author continue the novel, but it was in hiatus since 2017...

PS: I want to give it a full stars but I don't know if it would work perfectly. <<less

This novel is very funny, fluffy, and light. However, it gets a little hard to read because the MC keeps doing dumb things while knowing the consequences. The MC lacks to common sense. Also it appears that the MC is supposed to fall in love with the her husband.

I have to say that currently, I really like this. The story tells about a modern Japanese who was transported into the body of a noble's second wife and had a child. The body that the MC took over was an unstable ans selfish girl. However, the presence of new personality turned her into an exceptional woman who is loving toward her child and loves delicious foods and desserts. It's carefree, it's warm, and sometimes fluffy. Meanwhile, there is an underlying current there that the MC slowly (and rather unconsciously)... more>> changing the new world where she was transported into.

Characters in the story are not so blatant, but not plain either. They're all sufficiently good to convey warmth and cuteness. So do the plot. It is not serious, but not sloppy. So far, everything is in the right proportions. <<less

It's adorable with lots of fluff and cooking. Kids and children. Love! She's a nice person, unlike the title, and the person possessed isn't that bad either. She isn't hated, and rather liked. And in a way, she's OP as heck.

A Reminder that the novel is actually Japanese, not Chinese, so the flavor is sweet and soft rather than sharp and bitter.

Good reincarnation story.

Thing to be noted is the MC is a wife noble which has super goddess of luck aura.

MC is OP in magic and her son is normal.

The premise story is unique without world dominating genre.

Sometime MC and her son story is rather warming. Which I recommend to reader who like slow story with interesting event.

Although my complaint is also directed at every other world-traveler/reincarnator novel, this time too, I was very frustrated. The fantasy world's people are too dumb!!!! I get that traveling to a less developed world, you'd want to be their Da Vinci, but at least pick a time period and stick to it! You can't make a 19th century world, where people don't know things invented in 16th century! Well, you can, apparently. But it disappoints me every time.

Spoiler

And she doesn't even need that to be an outstanding person! She has an amazing ability and amazing magical power. She doesn't need to invent sweets to make them for her son.
In fact, it would be so so so so SO much more interesting to see her work hard to improve her reputation, instead of having everyone fall in love with her instantly because of a cake or two.
