While I haven't read a lot of mob-kun in otome games this one seems particulary similar to The World of Otome Games is Tough For Mobs though with some differences for one here the MC himself is super powerful and the other person who reincarnated into the heroine is just a random female otaku. The MC here also doesn't have much against killing people and kills them in the thousands here. So I can't help to compare the two because this one seems to clearly inspired by the other one.

With... more>> that said the MC's overall focus in the story is to prevent the civil war looming over the kingdom and thus save his mother and friends from death while also saving the villaness. The setting is overall okey by the author is seemingly torn between the MC going dungeon crawling to lvl up to grow more powerful or if he should focus on the romance at school part.

Sadly it seem that either the author eventually didn't wanna continue writing, to few readers or for whatever reason the story is seemingly cut short and the last 1/3-1/4 of the story feels kinda rushed though there is a clear line up to the ending.

Some spoilers on this.

Spoiler

It is especially made apperent in my opinion when in a short while the MC is shot at by a bunch of arrows by archers but doesn't do anything to defend himself because he's about to fly away, even though he knows multi + insta casting and the highest lvl of wind magic, instead he just watches the arrows until he is hit and then runs away and then dies cause apperently all that kingdoms solider have all their arrows dipped in a slow acting poison that instantly kills a person all of a sudden. But luckily the MC had a ring of life substition so he instantly revives but loses his extra life ring.

Then some chapters later he captures heroine + her harem but then one of them free's himself and charges at the MC and then almost instantly kills the MC cause he can again do nothing but watch himself being attacked. These two parts in short succession just feels way to forced especially up to this point we've been told the MC is lvl 40+, if I remember right, knows a ton of overpowered skills and has the best gear + guns while the heroine + harem are all said to be around lvl 1 and super weak and get's instantly defeated by the MC but this time it get's explained that one of the harem members used the super powerful hero buff. So even though the MC again is a much higher lvl which also grants him a much higher strength + magic stat just because of a buff (that was never even mentioned before this point even) the lvl 1 harem member becomes so powerful the MC can't even react before he is pretty much killed and only survives because the villaness puts him in a coma in holy ice.

Honestly these two parts really made the story drop in quality in my opinion especially since most of the story up to this point was about how much the MC works to grow stronger and has gotten so powerful he can face armies alone and pretty much fight dragons in melee combat. While the heroine + harem on the other hand has becomes super weak because the MC has been stealing all their powerup chances + the heroine is super lazy and doesn't even bother to go and fight monsters to lvl up or use her skills to become stronger and instead just goes with some kind of happy go lucky mindset that everything will go her way just because she's the heroine so she knows, or at least thinks, she has a too thick plot armor to even fail. But then from nowhere they become stronger then the MC with no effort or reason what-so-ever??? Like what was even the point of reading the 70-80 chapters before the end part???

[collapse]

All in all I wanna give this a 3/5 but I'll give it a 4/5 just because it was a pretty nice read overall. <<less

Frist time writing a review, I hope I can help some of you who don't know if it's worth reading it.

First the postive things about the novel:

  • The protagonist is not dense at is capable of identifiying his owns emotions, I'm very tired of dense protagonist of japanese novels, like, I woud punch them in the face if I coud... so I found this quite refreshing.
  • This can be good or bad based on your point of view, but the novel is short and concise, as you can see it only has 100 chapters, it has some time skips and very fast pacing. In my opinion I see it in a good ligth due to it being one of the firts works of the author, so he didn't have enough experience to create a better a more profound wordview and characters. I prefer a it instead of enlarging it artificially.
  • It is based in the basic templete of the otome novels, but in the lather chapters in takes a turn to diferenciate it from other novels like ''I reincarnated in a otome game as a mob'', and in my opinion the resolution of the ''academy arc'' are better solved in this nove, althoug more shallow in the explanation and circustances due to the fast pacing. If you encountered frustating how the protagonist of ''I reincarnated in a otome game as a mob'' acted in the ''academy'' I think you would this MC more refreshing, after all is a bit more decisive less dense.
Now the negative points:

  • The characters are as said, shallow, like 1d or 2d in some cases, only the protagonist and FML can be seen as a 2.5d?, like the rest are there to make them shine, wich is not 100% bad but it makes the history more cheap.
  • This is from my personal point of view, but I find negatively the lack of bloodthirst from the protagonist in many ocasions, is frustating in some circunstances especially in the last half/quarter of the novel.
In concusion if you are looking for a nice and fast read where you don't have to think to much this is for you, you will be abe to finish it in 2 days or 3 at most. Above all if you are fustrated with dense protagonist or are looking for an alternative to ''I reincarnated in a otome game as a mob'' I recommend reading it, is work the... more>> time spent. Likely, I woud have liked to have seen this work if the author had more experience and time, I think it would have been much better, but I can only dream of it now.

If you know other novels simiar to this one I would apreciate recommendations :P, and at the same thime I can recommend some. <<less

Enjoyable. It is combination of MobSeka and Villainous' Butler but without the harem. The preparation before meeting FMC took quite some time but worth waiting and reading through it

For a story, it’s incredibly simple, straight to the point and a very good read, yeah sure the character might not have developed much, but you know they’re there, they contribute, they do something, for a web novel this one is good and short, it’s a fun read for a day or two, I certainly enjoy it

The only problem I have with it is the lack of use of the aerospace engineer settings, yeah he makes 2 plane (more of a powered glider) and... None after those two, kind of... more>> a bummer since I came here after seeing he made plane in the manga, was expecting more than that

But overall, give it a try <<less

It's good as a harem free romantic isekai in otome game novel.

The start of the story is good. MC and female lead looks realist and good people. MC also has a good goal.

But the worst part of the story is that the more the story goes on the MC proves himself as the s*upidest character. The antagonist is just a crazy foul idiot who played the game in past life and she only lives in her own dream. The MC has no problems killing thousands of soldiers but the guy... more>> and girl that are responsible for the kidnapping and almost r*pe and death of his loved one are not even considered to be punished once in his hands, I am truly frustrated by this story at this point.

The author just accelerated the story with his pace of mind. MC and female lead is saint or s*upid is a question which makes me really angry. <<less

I already read it till the ending, and it's not bad, the first part is similar with mobuseka, with only minor differences, but the later half is quite different where mobuseka is using action harem comedy, and this novel focus on the protagonist relationship with the villainess.

Although in the beginning, the protagonist between mobuseka and this novel looks quite similar, but they're totally different. Mobuseka protagonist, leon is a dense wimp motherf*cker, who keeps running when facing his loved one, it's quite irritating when you read it actually, but because... more>> of luxion, his partner, where luxion always snide him with sarcasm about his wimp personality, it makes them a pretty good combination. It makes you really can't hate him. And luxion enhance his rotten personality which makes it better.

and for this novel the MC is not a dense wimp motherf*cker, he realize he have feeling for the villainess and act according to that, and that's one good point for you. The reason this novel is quite good is because the sole purpose for the protagonist is to save the people he cares about, and he keep focusing on that since the beginning. Oh and also he doesn't have a harem.

but yeah that's it, I think that's the only good point for this novel, the antagonist for this novel is just kinda flat where she do whatever she wants because she thought that the world revolves around her, the capture target doesn't even have personality, they just there for the sake of being there, I even forgot their name. The world building is kinda meh, it's like you're reading the first 3 volume of mobuseka but with less detail.

for overall I prefer mobuseka than this novel, but this novel have it's own charm which makes it good, I love the relationship between the protagonist and the villainess, I like how the protagonist trying his best to get her when he realize his feeling, I guess the the author really stick to the title huh? Haha.

so for the conclusion, this novel is decent, if you like mobuseka and is waiting for the next volume, you should try to read this novel while you wait, maybe you'll get angry because the plot is quite similar, but I'm sure you'll find it's own charm while you read. And for new reader who never read mobuseka before, and if you like romance genre with no harem, where the protagonist dedicate himself for the heroine, and have a little bit of sweet moment between them, then I'm sure you'll like this novel. <<less

Writing this review somewhat in conjunction with the previous review. The complaints about this story being similar to otome mob begin and end at "otome game with a male protagonist". So if you're like me, and are an otome book fan who wants a male protagonist then this is a great read for you. That being said the story is somewhat generic, with the "lead up to a condemnation event" arc. However for those who are otome game story junkies like myself, then it's an acceptable plot device. I would... more>> have rated this 4/5 but there were too many overly negative reviews so this is a bit of a rebound review so new readers aren't completely turned off. I hope you enjoy this the same way that I do!

Quick edit as well, if you're not a harem fan than this one will be preferable to otome mob. Though otome mom's world building is superior to Villager A's. Quick shoutout to the translator as well for consistent translations and good communication. The response to feedback isn't necessary but is very much appreciated. <<less

The beginning part of the novel is kinda meh because MC just keeps on grinding but when it finally went to the school arc it gets very good, because of some unexpected things that happens, interactions with each character and the cuteness of the villainess....

the MC has a clear goal in mind

Ok so I gave it 5 stars, but honestly I feel like its closer to 4 tbh. The early parts of the novel honestly drag and are kind of weird, but once he gets to school it turns prety dam good. This is more or less for people who love reincarnated into an otome game stories and if thats your type then its for you. That said its nothing special, but id still like to recomend it to people if you are looking for a new novel in this genre.

It was a good read. Everything was consistent to the world's setting. The author tends to skip over the stories of his failures, when recreating modern tech and adventures, because it was irrelevant to the main story progression... this looks like a draft... anything that is not really relevant to the main story is gloss over or moved into the background...

Him being a gun otaku and having an aerospace engineering background sounds ok but only revealed at the relevant points...

It sounds realistic enough, I mean I know the inner works... more>> and design of certain guns and simple explosives, while also knowing how to build and design and program robots as a hobby and during my diploma and now working as a data analyst for a company.... This story only made me look back at very specific knowledge that I had learnt in the past... so my experience of this series, it maybe bias. <<less

pretty average read. Had lots of flaws and feels pretty generic, otome mob is far more interesting. But to be fair, still a much better read than most isekai stories out there.

would recommend reading it if you like otome game type isekais, and has ran out of good reading materials.

I am chapter 13 of the translation but I have read a machine translation of the rest. I quite enjoy this novel. Unfortunately, the first few chapters are a slog. This story really doesn't pick up until the high school arc. The first few chapters are over power building. The high school are is where the protagonist meets the villainous/love interest. This is the meat of the story and where the interesting character building and exciting stuff occurs.

There are many steriotypes of otome game reincarnation, and I liked how the MC would go to the places of the game but the events that happens are always out of the expectation of the MC turning out realy funny.

but I have to complain 1 part.

Spoiler

in the first part since recovers the memories he starts going in a stregthing spree like every MC, then there is the secret equipament that he creates, a plane, but you can get away with that since in the first chapter the author says that he is a plane engineer, and gets the wind god blessing.

so he stars colecting a lot of cheat skills, spends 4 year training, gains the ability to create cheat items like a plane, and use magic.

so in his first real battle can you believe what he does?

he turns the goblins in beehives with a ak47 the stereotype gun of all novels gun otaku!

like there was nothing at all that leads to this! no development! no trial and error! no past! and no clue! the MC just sudenly has the lovable ak47 after 4 years of training and raising funds. and just as suddenly the MC now is a gun otaku that wanted to be a pilot and trained in war zones? cmon !!!

author why did you make the MC train for 4 year stregning and collecting cheat skills if you are just gonna make him use a gun! and after he got the gun he stars cmplaining that is too weak and starts devoloping? haaaah....

I have three points to say about this story.

First the story is very alike and heavily inspired by OtomeMob. So how does it differentiate it from that piece? Welp the story dwells more on the MC's action and drive to save the "villainess" and its a slow build as we follow his journey and effort.

Secondly this is just an average story but a reminder that it is completed and the story ends without much to write more about. The author actually wrote this story as a practice and you'll see... more>> unjointed plot in the beginning but the story ends with only the two main character developed. I wanted to give it a 4 as it took my attention but I would rate this story a little above average 3.2/5 as it has glaring issues others mentioned.

Lastly comments for the ending:

Spoiler

I enjoyed most the developments in story, however in the ending afterword. We get to see an R15 perspective of Amy's passing. I know the author finds it hard to write her character but it still shocked me that her last words had to be that depressing?!? Okay I feel bad for her but she still deserves it. Which made me think Author should have written about Amy more and developed on why she behaved so childlike be it a past life trauma or others. In short she was not fully developed and used as a "villain" plot mover

It might be fulfilling to end on a better note to make us readers hold it dear, but hey this is an after story

The starting was good. Its a copy of my favourite novel so I also liked this one. As time passed the story got more likeable.

But the Author messed up at the war arc. Chapter 70-90 is boring and Doesn't make sense. It was very frustrating to read. It felt like author was writing to increase the chapters but failed and messed up.

Chapter 90 to last was satisfying but I wanted to see more of ALEN's power. He could've brought the whole dragon army. It would have been fun to read.... more>> A flock of dragons flying over the royal capital while alen demanding to reveal the WITCH. Now thats a power demonstration.

Albeit it was good. Really liked it. <<less

TLDR: Are you like me? A loser that spends his days reading everything that is available on the internet so you don't have to face your actual life, then you ended up binge-reading almost everything that has any worth and ended up here thinking that this will give you another high and distract you from everything else that is pressing down on you? Then read it, I doubt it will matter that much if its amazing, it only needs to get your mind off the real world. I would recommend... more>> going to therapy and seeking professional help, but I'm not here to dictate what you can and cannot.

I'm not a professional reviewer or whatever but I'll try to convey how this novel was a disappointment a fell short with a lot of things.

Lets go about the Antagonists first because they are what I care the most about because in most stories they torment the Protagonist but their end is lackluster 90% of time. And apart from the Heroine turned villain everyone else got off pretty lightly, read the spoilers if you want.
Spoiler

The Heroine Turned Villain: She is pretty f*cked in the head and she ends up getting r** until she dies by Mine workers because she was sentenced to be a prostitute. I mean, it wasn't bad but the author seems lazy about the whole story and refuses to write details and go deeper into any topic. Now about the rest of the entourage, the Prince of the main Kingdom/Karl or whatever his name is doesn't repent until the end and gets off pretty lightly, he refused to believe Amy has in the wrong even after the Brainwashing was released and was sentenced by his Brother to home arrest and doesn't leave his house anymore. Prince Claude of whatever Kingdom he was from gets scott free from everything. After losing the duel the motherf*cker just peaces out to never be seen again if not by two brief mentions. The Knight Leonardo dies. He was brainwashed and sacrifices himself so Amy could escape. Oscar gets released from the brainwashing and "is ashamed" and returns to his normal life because Annastasia is such a saint oh my god I could tear me a whole brand new an*s because of how amazed I am by her generosity to someone that could have ruined her life. Markus sacrifices himself to protect Amy from a point-blank Saiga shot, but then the OH SO AMAZING VILLAIN TURNED HEROINE BECOMES A SAINT AND CHOOSES TO REVIVE AND PARDON HIM FOR HIS PAST TRANSGRESSIONS AND GUIDES THIS POOR SOUL. Sorry, he just gets revived>apologizes>pardoned, nothing that dramatic.

[collapse]

The author hates details, he loathes them fellas. He absolutely refuses to go into detail through any conversation or scenario and they fall short of what they could've been. Even then nothing much really happens until a critical point is reached and we have no other alternative because of Politics and whatnot. The whole game thing just ends up being background noise and the Progatonist dies from a single punch from anyone even though chapters earlier he was the badass chunni weirdo that had guns, 300 diferent types of bullets for each situation and whatever, but 1 punch and dude is out, he leaving.

The romance is nothing much, if you are looking for smut, them being lovey-dovey and whatever you can skip this one. I don't know with who lies the fault on this one, if it is the translators fault or the author's. Their romance is awkward and has no detail and actual build-up, it just happens because its supposed to happen. They have the seccs, but thats only 2 sentences that barely qualify to convey what happened and I was confused when I read until I got """confirmation""" some chapters later.

I've read 15 chapters of the manga, they seem better than the novel but I wouldn't put my hopes up because we will only see a end to it in 2030 and by then you wouldn't be wanting to read this I hope, you and I we both deserve better, if it doesn't get axed. <<less

It's fine, good even, but nothing too special. It follows a somewhat predictable plot, with some minor twists and turns, but overall it's not bad for a otome reincarnation/romance mashup.

It's not a very long read, you could probably get through it in half a day, and I honestly don't think I could stand the antagonists much longer than that. Truly one of the ones that you just love to hate.

My one major gripe might be how easy it is for the MC to simply create his own modern day machines... more>> and weapons. I feel like it would have worked better thematically if he relied a bit more on his previous knowledge of the game (you know, the premise of the story) instead of simply beating medieval knights with modern warfare.

But the writing is fine and the romance actually works, so it doesn't really need to do much more than that.

Decent story and a reasonable read to shave away a few hours. Nothing particularly egregious and the villainess is pretty likable though conversely it's no masterpiece either.

That being said, it's a perfectly decent story to tide you over while you look for the next story to read.

As for the ending (the afterstory)

it's actually surprisingly dark given the tone of the rest of the story. Like Amy deserved to get sent to the mines as a who*e but holy sh*t a first person description of her losing her sanity and dying to STDs was not something I expeyto read. At that point guillotine-chan is just the more humane option.
