Su Jinzhi never died despite being ill for a long time. It came to the point in his life where he believed that he would die this time. However, once he opened his eyes, he didn’t expect that he was kidnapped and tied to a Love Life System.

The System told him that it was because he did not give up his love for life even though he was ill to that point. As a result, in this lifetime, he would continue to use his sick figure that was not willing to die to save all those who did not love life in this world. He should rouse their passion to live, encourage them to love life, and teach them to be harmonious with society!

Su Junzhi: I want to enjoy life first. I will only have the power to save the world after I taste love.

System: Host, please listen to me. You cannot fall in love with this person. You will become damned if you fall in love with this person.

Su Jinzhi: Isn’t life there to be enjoyed? Why fear death? Shouldn’t becoming a ghost offer you freedom once you die?

– During the moments I forgot, you loved me.

– However, during the moments that I remember you, I love you.

This novel is probably a tie with me for my favorite BL QT story, and I've read quite a few. It is just so beautifully written.

This story is heartbreaking and tragically poetic. You find yourself rooting for some sort of happy ending for the two main characters. It is a story full of love, memories, waiting, and the sadness of being forgotten. Some of the arcs are refreshing to read and even the typical QT arc plots are so well written it seems like a new take. I really enjoy... more>> the language the author uses throughout the story, it's extremely beautiful. But... prepare lots of tissues ok!

THE PLOT:

Su Jinzhi is from a modern interstellar age and is the last (or one of the last) pure blood human left. He developed an incurable systematic organ failure and before he died he was bound to a system... or more precisely a double system. (Yup! theres two!) No.0 and No.1, they each have two distinct separate personalites. No.0 is more innocent and nice and gives out the rewards and No.1 is more cold and... sarcastically unhelpful lol. No.1 also deals out the punishment for the MC when a mission fails, he gets too OOC, etc.

What is the MC's mission in these worlds? Well he helps the mission targets (Yes! Could also be more than one!) resolve their shortcomings and help them learn to appreciate life/love.

Also, in each world the MC will always have an illness or physical disability and the ML is always the same person. There is no yandere tendencies/force/dub-con. They both love and respect each other dearly.

THE BACKSTORY PLOT:

Spoiler

This is the real plot! Super spoilers ahead so if you don't want to learn how/why the MC is bound to this systems and why he has a illness each world / Major ML spoilers STOP READING...

Ok you were warned like twice.

The MC had his brain placed in a virtual data environment designed to keep his brain activity alive while the ML repairs his body in the real world. He has pain because it is a stress response while replacing organs and repairing his body.

He was punished by the systems for falling in love with ML because the systems didn't want the ML to be too indulged in these false virtual worlds and lose himself in a fake reality.

[collapse]

Happy ending or is it all just one big tragedy?!

Spoiler

Not gonna lie, author almost had me convinced this was gonna end tragically. No worries it is a happy ending! Just.. bring a lot of tissues on this journey.

[collapse]

Curious about what the ARCS are?

Spoiler

These aren't official arc titles...I am just naming these based on what is in the story ok. They aren't all the proper disease names.

  1. "Heart Diseased" Waiter x Underworld Prince
  2. "Respiratory Diseased" Courtesan x Amnesiac Lover
  3. "Cancer Diseased" Adopted Son x Adoptive Father
  4. "Vampiric" Aristocrat x Loyal Servant
  5. "Sleeping Beauty Diseased" Student x Scarred Caretaker
  6. "Pica Diseased" Taoist Ghost Catcher x Blood Stained Marshal
  7. "Albino" Exorcist x Demon Lord
  8. "Autistic" Genuis x Assassin
  9. "Crippled" Fox Spirit x Cultivator
  10. "Hemophiliac" Mental Patient x Criminal Psychologist
  11. "Face blind/ Mysophobic" Galatic Emperor x Alliance Marshal

First of all, I hope this continues to get translated.

I'm glad I stumbled upon this series. I try to give novels a chance by completing at least the first two arcs and, thankfully, I did because it was a gem. I was able to mtl it completely in 2 days.

I've been getting tired of the same generic things in "quick-wears" and the plots are becoming predictable in each arc.

But this series has honestly stood out. The author was very creative and each arc was beautifully constructed. Just when you think... more>> the plot is going in a certain direction, the author pulls the rug from under you. It kept me on the edge with the well-developed plot-twists. Also, be aware of the Tragedy tag because it does get emotional.

The relationship between the MC and ML is pure. There's no "forcing" in the relationship, they genuinely like each other. I also enjoy the fact that there is no white lotus or unreasonable villain characters that are just there for you to hate (thank God).

The MC is not an overbearing, calculative or black-bellied character. He's a simple guy that's trying his best while dealing with his problematic, non-golden finger systems. He starts off as pretty naive and weak but his character grows as the series continues and he becomes smarter, trying to find any loopholes he can to spend more time with ML.

ML comes off as cold in the first few arcs but as it continues you start to see a change and his unconditional love starts to show more frequently.

Again, what I love most about this series are its unique arcs and it just becomes better and more creative along the way.

Spoiler

My favorite arc would have to be one where MC is a patient in a mental hospital accused of mu*der and ML is the psychiatrist assigned to determine whether or not MC is guilty or innocent. And let's just add that ML's other patient, who is also accused of mu*der (unrelated to MC) becomes particularly interested in our little MC.
*wink* *wink*

Just another tr*sh abuse novel written by an idiot.

Spoiler

MC broke up with ML to protect him. ML made a system to literally torture him and let him (ML) play with/kill the MC. MC has no memories of his time with ML before the system but the general consensus is MC HAD to break up with ML or ML would have suffered.

[collapse]

But don't worry even after all the horrific abuse and mind games played by the ML the MC will realize he is his one true love and the person that treats him the best. Literal f*cking garbage. <<less

Edit: DONT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS (regarding the big plot). There's a reason for everything, including why No.1 tortures MC so much in the beginning!!! I think some people may have missed some parts of the explanation in MTL? Because the revealing is actually quite sweet. MC had a reason for doing what he did, but that doesn't diminish all the suffering and anguish that ML went through (similar to Arc2, but reverse). However, ML never blamed or punished MC.

Spoiler

It's mentioned somewhere near the end, right before Mental Hospital I think, that in the beginning the painful stimulation was necessary for MC's treatment, and all the worlds were built for the purpose of keeping MC's mind alive during treatment. ML wasn't just trying to kill MC with the flowers either. All the worlds are also formed due to the subconscious mind or virtual environment, but it had to be stimulating and MC had to remain detached for his treatment.

And of course ML would be f*cking upset that MC forgot him and was scared of him. HOWEVER, HE NEVER GOT MAD AT MC FOR IT. Rather, it was MC being guilty and him trying to relieve MC because he's just happy they got to be together. Also, based on the story MC never needed to do what he did anyway? Lol.

[collapse]

Great, I'm loving it.

First arc, ML fell in love a lil too easily (although I guess it wasn't really LOVE love). Second arc I cried so so hard. Oh man, that really hurt, but it was great. Third arc I was also a bit confused why ML seemed to like MC all of a sudden (or maybe it wasn't sudden? I MTLed it so there may be some confusion). Fourth and fifth arcs were also pretty cute and creative, as well as the rest.

I'm MTLing so there's some details that I might be missing. It's not a great MTL but it's also not too bad? The arcs are so interesting that it keeps me engaged.

Anyway, so far I'm really enjoying it, even though the thing with the systems is pretty confusing and there's plotholes too (sometimes there's punishments, sometimes there's not; sometimes they both live, sometimes they don't). Edit: In retrospect, I guess the author covered their bases so these things make sense.

But the entertainment value is still quite high so I still recommend this story! <<less

I've read finish this novel and I think it is great. It has twists and shocking moments that explode my mind while being funny and sad at times but don't worry guys, it is a HE~

I really love how the feelings of both the MC and male lead actually runs deep, which will be slowly revealed as MC recover his lost memories till the end.

P.S. Great male lead, another man that waits for their lover to come back/wake up for a long long time hehe.

Loved it. I binged it all in two days, and I admit I teared up in some arcs. The story mostly focuses on MC and ML, and even his systems, 1 and 0. The highlight of this story to me is that every arc was connected. A lot of QT stories that I've read so far often have the MC easily move on from each world. The author plays on this common theme by really showing what it means to be "together forever, " as well as the passage of... more>> time and the pain of being forgotten (even when you don't mean to). The MC doesn't easily move on, and he truly wishes that he could stay with the ML in each world (believe me, there is a tragedy tag for a reason). The ML is one of my favorites. He may seem cold at first, but he is really kind and gentle, his unconditional love really shines. There are little clues in each world that give info on ML's identity.

The only thing I wished the author could've done was giving closure to some of the arcs. It may be because of the MTL, but there were some arcs that ended and left me wondering/questioning if the MC died, and if so, how?? (Because my poor abused heart can't take it, I only wish for a happy ending)

Spoiler

Don't worry, it's a HE. :)

[collapse]

Another thing I wished to see more was more interaction between MC and ML in the real world. I wanted to see their reconciliation! But the way it ended was good too.

If you like this story and want to abuse your heart but also soften it with unconditional love, I recommend reading "I really am a slag shou" and "I have a secret." <<less

I Love this novel so much. I'm a sucker for tragedy like endings but it is not a real tragedy coz you know, you get to be together in another life. This book simply a god send. It satisfy me in every aspect except for the open ending in the last chapter. Dammit, I wish the author can give us more story about our ML and MC in real world.

I really can can feel ml's pain when MC cannot recognize him. Dang so pitiful. ?He solely waited for MC and... more>> make these dream like worlds so that the MC can recognize him and also understand his pain of waiting.

Its really a good read. Give it a chance <<less

Not the usual world hopping plot where you can predict the ending of each arc. However, most of chara are 2D except for the main couple, and it seems that everyone is just a passerby. Those can be ignored anyway since this is a fast wear. As the tag says, it is quite tragic, the MC always die and greatly suffers before death. I'm not an M to read this anymore..

System 1 is also unreasonable and not consistent.I... more>>
Spoiler

in arc 3 he put a mosaic to prevent them from studying so the world will not collapse so how could the MC answer the teacher (since the MC is good in language) ; the system1 can just punish again the MC instead of putting mosaic on notes. Also, MC knows what to act already My point is the system should let the MC to slowly change at some point or else he cannot change the target. If he act like the previous or original person the there is no difference and no way to achieve the result. Sometimes #1 is good and can bend some rules, sometimes it is not.

Btw, lot of drama, not my cup of tea but this one is good, that's why despite of several flaws, I'm still reading. Unsure if will drop

I love this. I'm a sucker for BE quick transmigration novels and the sweetness gives me a break from all the dog blood and unnecessary shou abuse in all other gong abuse novels, but at the same time there's still gong abuse. The arcs are very short, around 10 each, and it's extreme quick wear so there's not really much world building and the side characters are pretty much two dimensional. But it's a pretty light read and it's not really angsty.

i spent 8 hours quietly crying to myself as I read this novel. I thought in the beginning, what a shitty plot. What a shitty system. Can I have a happy ending please? Why is this premise so confusing? I promise you, it will become clear. There is indeed a method to this madness

i started reading because I was in the mood for some tragedy. And then I kept reading because I became invested in the MC and mls journey. Even though some arcs were confusing due to the mtl,... more>> or abruptly cut short, the author has not failed to make me cry. Although there were some confusing arcs, there were also some incredibly well written and heartbreaking arcs that made this read worth it. And I became quietly invested in the true story behind it all, the reason why our MC is an undying patient, the plot points the author painstakingly hides in between arcs of heartbreak and tragedy.

Spoiler

1v1, HE. Thank god the author wrote a lot of extras otherwise id be in a terrible mood for the rest of the day

to my understanding, no1 is such a d*ck with the punishments because he and no0 are rebuilding mc's body. So when they're having issues with that process they have to "punish" MC. MC can't fall in love with ML or have a happy ending in each arc because otherwise, he and ML will be lost eternally in the data stream and no1 and no0 won't be able to wake them up. I know it's kind of a rough plot device the author created to explain no1's behavior and such, but it works.

favorite arcs were the amnesiac general/brothel keeper, father/adoptive son, and criminal psychologist/mental asylum patient

Well, I'm currently mtl-Ing it and decided to finally write a review.

So let's start with the characters...

mc: a confused human with practically zero memories of his life.

ml: An alien, apparently.

system one: an ultra dick

system zero: a dick- but hidden behind a cutesy baby personality.

So, their personalities are generally lovely - except for system one. Character arcs are quite interesting to go through - except for system ones. In fact, just fuuuuck system one.

Villains: Occasionally there will be very compelling storylines, and then suddenly -

Spoiler

theres a crazy female who can't seem to ever take no for an answer and is there solely to make our cp jealous. Pretty much, a lot of the villains are freakishly deluded.

[collapse]

plot: uhm, not sure... at some point I thought
Spoiler

there would be a reason system one acts like such a huge d*ck to our MC. But based on where I am now in the storyline...

err, not really. apparently the MC broke up with their master for literally ml's own sake, lost his memory of ML and was understandable terrified when an unknown alien suddenly tried to come up to him. Even worse when it's only after meeting that alien that he gets fatally sick and dies (sort of).

I don't know what MC has to feel guilty about aside from lying to the ml. But from the way they talk about it seems like everyone knows MC did it to protect the ml, so WHY does system one LITERALLY torture MC in the beginning of the novel????

[collapse]
okay, aside from that, there will be a few inconsistencies, like
Spoiler

The punishments system one is supposed to fish out. Those kind of tapered off in later chapters and instead turned into the shitty mind game where system one is like "if u fall for him, ur gonna die/I'm gonna punish your" but is also like "do what you want/you love him/why don't you love him bro??" The flip flopping? It gets annoying, quick, but that's pretty much the rest of the story. MC desperately trying to love the ml, but system one punishing him constantly even though that's apparently EXACTLY what they all wanted him to do.

[collapse]

im confusion ?

the arcs are all super fun and unique, though. Definitely worth the read. <<less

I only read until 18 chapters but so far I really like it.

I really like this gong-abuse kind of novels *smirk*

But the saddest (not sadist) thing is that it is dropped. Means no one else is translating it aside from the previous translator who discontinued it long time ago.

I hope someone will take it over. I don't really want to read mlt because they just messed up my brain and I don't enjoy it.

SO PLS SOMEONE CONTINUE IT!!! *Crying aggressively*

I'm taking a break at chapter 49 because I'm developing a headache. The first two arcs had me crying like a broken faucet which is good, I guess, because I seem to like to torture myself like that.

The headache, however, wasn't because of the crying but rather because of some confusing plot points that didn't add up in my head.

These are:

  • Why the ML was the main saving goal when he didn't seem to need any saving to begin with. In each arc I have read so far he seemed to be living quite well until the MC came and died, making him want to die instead of living. Contradicts the initial purpose, no?
  • How system No.01 kept on making life and fulfilling the task hard for the MC. At times the conditions No.01 put on the MC basically made it impossible to fulfill the task.
  • The seemingly arbitrary punishments No.01 inflicts on the MC. Even when I was reading the translated chapters, I was confused and didn't know why the MC suddenly received a punishment. So MTLing made the whole thing even more confusing.
I'm sure those issues will be resolved as the story progresses. But I'm currently not in the mood or state to read this novel without getting a headache or getting anxious and impatient because I feel like its getting... more>> draggy or cumbersome.

I might change my mind and start reading again later on when I feel like it. <<less

okay, I'm using google translate because I can't keep quiet after finishing this masterpiece. Definitely one of my favorite QTs. At first it may seem like a qt full of dog blood like any other, BUT you have to read it to the end to see that it doesn't. The background plot is so tragic that it has completely dried up after crying non-stop. In addition to the secondary characters like 01 and Zero are also my favorites throughout the novel. I like how the protagonist proves to be selfish... more>> in some parts and the ML shows more expressive emotions than most typical MLs from other QTs. It has a happy and comforting ending, however it left a void in me because I really enjoyed reading 😭😭😭😭 <<less

I really like this novel because he is not the type of OP MC who will succeed in every mission. He failed on several missions and was actually under threat, not just a system bluff.

MC's emotional development is also really good, in the first arc he is just a living craze and in the second arc he is already getting emotional. He also started to seriously question his emotions and what I like most about his inner struggles is that he once asked "did ML really fall in love with... more>> him or with the original body"

and it turns out that the development of the world is very well written. The cause and effect is very interesting to me. But in the last few arcs the author seems to have lost his way but the ending is still good.

the system is kinda cruel and ruthless but jdndndn.

Pros :

MC is the last human with full normal human body, while ML is an alien taht fallls in live with MC. MC is a scientist and other people made it that him looks sketchy, human just want the aliens gene to maje themselves better. ML adores MC so much. When MC was hospitalised, ML gave MC flower but MC was allergic and died.

The arcs are okay ig. The systems ate cute. The extras where the systems meet with other systems are sad. So the systems are actually aliens?? From... more>> different dimension.

Cons :

I read this a long time ago and I don't really remember the arcs, so if it's not that great. <<less

I have mixed feelings about the novel.

First two arcs - loved them, cried like a baby, they gave a thought of encountering of another good book.

But then... ugh... Other arcs are dumb! You see, the main point of story - MC have some illness - and he should suffer from it, so you will sympathize with him. But the reality is - he will not. No suffering from the 3rd arc and so on.

Well, it would still be ok - but the endings! Sometimes they just suck. But most of... more>> the time there is no ending for the arc at all! Author just starts the next arc. It soooo frustrating to read, there is no satisfaction after the world ending, we simply don't know the whole conclusion. <<less

First, unexpectedly, our MC here is very 'human', there are lots of decision he decides on his tempted feelings, reading the summary I thought the MC gonna be the cold or at least cool headed type, but no, he's very human, only when he thought that the situation is really desperate would he chose to forced himself to be logical. Good thing is somehow he's not annoying.

the MC and ML are very likable, especially the MC, the character progress is kinda realistic, good job author!

Although each arcs were kinda sad,... more>> but the finishing was good.. My fave probably the zombie arc, where the MC found and admit his deeper self

Spoiler

the concept of zero is reward, one is punishment, is broken in the middle, it seems they're just trying to introduce themselves 'logically' to be faster accepted by amnesiac MC. Our baby zero is actually some kind of a psycho who's trying to look normal, he stabbed our MC with reason 'just because it is necessary' with innocently ignorant smile, lmao. They're actually ML's assistants
