The discovery of the so-called dimensional world heralded a new era for humanity. This world, populated with lifeforms of ever-increasing strength, would soon become known as a treasure trove for those hunters willing to brave its risk. Soulshards and gene fragments obtained by killing such lifeforms could be assimilated into their bodies, transforming them into genetically enhanced fighters and setting the stage for the age of genetic enhancement.

Similar to Super Gene, but not nearly as good.

First antagonist is so one dimensional, it hurts. So far, the antagonists act soooo chinese young master, it hurts.

Schemes are a bit simple too, but it's just the beginning.

Honestly have been disappointed with most Wuxiaworld picks for a while now.

This novel is written in an annoying way:

  • Lots of filling, yet no real info and chapters are around 1200 words at chapter 80ish while its was ~2000 words early on. This means that sometimes nothing happens for several chapters!
  • The author way of using words can be sometimes missleading, especially when talking about science and buisiness principles.
  • Interactions between the MC and the other characters are binary, either you submit to him or you're his enemy. Sometimes the MC seems like a dick/bully when interacting with others, as if the author knows nothing about basic human interactions.
  • Because of the lack of fundamental informations about the world building and cultivation principles, it seems as if each new knowledge the reader learn is always in favor of the MC OPness.
  • To get rid of some character early on and because the MC doesn't want to kill a women, the author writes an illogical and lengthy plot. I think most of the readers stopped there. I almost did.
  • MC acts lowkey and hides his identity, but suddently decides to revel it to characters he just met randomly in the wild. Later he decides to be their leader and they all accept because he's strong. They submit to him without any discussion/hesitation.
  • There is going to be a tournament. And the MC said he'll participate. Ffs why is there always a tournament???
Overall, the world building is not that bad if you're familiar with the novel Super God Gene for example, and the plot could have been nice if it wasn't written in such a painfull and annoying way.

Usual weak points of CN, starting from s*upid enemies where MC is not suspected by anyone because of his previous reputation of being last in ranking. There will be conflicts involving 7 clans/families where again MC is not suspected because of the same reason, I find it hard to believe that events involving so many people and in all these clans there is not any person capable of doing investigations and analysis of events.

There are a few other events that were kinda annoying: such as anonymous messages written by MC... more>> and everyone again did not consider this to be a plot from other people. Enemies after trying to kill MC, being beaten and MC gives them opportunity to handover their soulshards to save their lives, and they still believe it.

And finally chapter 50 was last drop of s*upidity:

"You mean, attack the ***clan now while they're busy chasing after him?"

"That's right. However, we have to do so under the guise of our captain!"

"Under his guise? Isn't our captain's identity a secret? How can we pretend to be him" <<less

I love the novel. It has many similarities with another novel which I love to read. I hope author will this different any unique, so that it will stand out own its own. One thing I don't like is reincarnation, which is an easy solution to cover plot holes and you don't have to do much effort in setting up plot of story. Hope this will be different from others and have explanation at some justified explanation about Reincarnation.

Other than Reincarnation story is thus far interesting, enjoyable and its look... more>> like it has solid plot base. So yeah we will see how it goes. <<less
