A sweet and short story that I binged in 5 hours. I love the fresh air this story gave me. No scum gong, weak shou and dramatic plot, just two people destined for each other, caring for each other.

MC is the gong, ML is the shou in this. MC is a very gentle person from the start. After his brother's final words, he helped to look after the blind ML and slowly uncover the truth behind everything.

Until the end, I couldn't ... more>>
Spoiler

hate the brother even though his actions are crazy but in the end he also isn't one to hurt others despite his past.

The smut is still good in this one.

Overall quite satisfying and the manhua is quite well drawn too! <<less

This is actually quite a good short story. I'm reading this along with the manhua on bilibili comics.

The smut is not much but it's hot, there's a sprinkle of angst, it's very kabiqiu style hehe

Read this in MTL. It's nowhere near as good as Outside the Law, Sunset Boulevard or Social Outcast, but if you like Ka Biqiu's work and want a short read with both suspense and some romance, this one is worth picking up.

The gong MC's brother dies abruptly and asks him on his deathbed to take care of a mysterious person in an apartment. As soon as the MC enters the apartment, he meets a young, blind man and a series of mysteries unfold.

For once there's a story where the yandere... more>> isn't the main character. The plot is quite good, but the story deserved to be longer to give more room to develop the many intricate parts of the plot and character relationships.

E.g. Why was the brother so obsessed with the shou? How did he know about the connection between the gong and the shou? The CP also fall in love too easily, no matter what they go through together, I found it hard to believe that

Spoiler

the gong was willing to die with the shou towards the end, when they'd just know each other for a couple of days and their relationship hadn't developed that much besides sleeping with each other in the present and once in the past

The shou was an interesting character, and so was the brother. The ending was a bit abrupt, as if the author couldn't find a good solution to the main threat and instead just went for an easy fix and then the obligatory sweet happy ending. <<less

Such a good read, enjoyed every single bit of it. There is a bit of heartache for the ML, a bit of tragedy and distress for him, but also fluff and healing afterwards, tho there is no heavy drama or plot, it is well proportioned and balanced, an enjoyable short read, I want moaar. Actually I was pleasantly surprised at finally finding a story that didn't romantize locking someone in a black room, and actually showed the aftermath and consequences it will have on the victim's mental health from an... more>> outsider's POV, and showed their position and take on the situation from a realistic POV with no romantic drama and overdramatising it. I felt distressed for the ML, but I'm glad he stumbled on the MC, such a genuine and compassionate person, they make such a great couple. For once the one who did the locking up isn't one of the main leads, he's just an irrelevant person that left a big shadow on the victim nonetheless. <<less
