Short but satisfying

This story has only around 33 chapters, but it felt longer in a good way. The pacing was just right, and nothing felt rushed. There’s not much drama, which I love. There are a lot of s*x scenes, but for me, it never felt boring. There’s no complicated plays or whatever toys, just two men in heat, devouring each other. And damn, I love it.

The dynamic between them is raw and messy, and you can feel the tension building in some of the chapter. It’s all about the... more>> slow shift from lust to something deeper, even though neither of them says it out loud until the very end. That made the final confession hit harder than I expected.

And I really love the protagonist, Xu Fei. He’s not your typical likable character. He curses a lot, doesn’t hold back, and often acts on impulse. But that’s exactly what makes him feel so real. He’s a little broken, a little reckless, but you can tell he’s just trying to protect what’s left of himself. There’s something incredibly honest about the way he handles things, even when he screws up. I couldn’t stop rooting for him.

What I also appreciated is that the story doesn’t try to be overly emotional or dramatic, but somehow it still gets to you. If you like smut with a solid emotional pull, this one’s worth the read. <<less
