Lin Xiaodou had just graduated from veterinary university when she suddenly struck it rich overnight.

Not only did she receive an unexpected inheritance from the heavens, but she also accidentally awakened a dimensional space.

Thinking the apocalypse was coming, she went on a wild shopping spree, stockpiling supplies like mad.

Who would’ve thought she’d transmigrate into a melodramatic novel set in a retro era—where a fake and real heiress vie for everything?

Good news: The space packed with billions worth of supplies came with her.

Bad news: She’s the tragic cannon fodder real heiress destined for a miserable end.

Her adoptive mother wants to marry her off to a fool?

Her biological mother wants her to take the blame for the fake heiress?

Ha! Keep dreaming!

Armed with overwhelming strength, Lin Xiaodou rolls up her sleeves and begins her campaign of vengeance—

Punching the adoptive mother, kicking the birth mother, and draining their assets dry, down to the last roll of toilet paper.

Then she packs her bags in the dead of night and boards the train to the countryside.

She thought she was just a disposable side character in a retro novel.

But what she didn’t expect was that her journey would keep unlocking new story arcs.

Along the way, she tames many adorable animals and finds a few like-minded companions.

And in the end? She lives the dream—hugging a handsome man while lying back and collecting rent as a rich lady~

P.S. This is the story of a sharp and powerful girl who, along with a group of friends, munches on drama and smashes s*umbags.

There is a male lead. It’s a power fantasy with zero logic—invest and you won’t regret it.

If you like facesmacking and speedy resolutions, this is the novel for you! Also, it's quite fun (and dare I say unique) due to the multiple novels MC inevitably gets roped into. I really like MC's character - strong and smart and vengeful. Karma is quick. It's funnier when she expects some type of retribution from heaven and it doesn't happen. She's the bug in all these novels. In addition to that, the animals are cute and her daily living is satisfying. The only complaint I have is that the ending was rushed. The author says they were getting tired of writing it so tried to end it while it was still good. But the romance felt rushed and I also expected more. Especially in regards to MC transmigrating. But other than an explanation of possibly why it happened, we don't get much else. In the beginning of the story, it was foreshadowed that there's a greater purpose and they MC would find out in the future - presumably when it's much much later. But nothing.
Spoiler

We come to learn that it's possibly for her to save unfortunate characters, get rid of the ridiculous main leads' halos, and save those people with important contributions.

One word: Satisfying. Hahaha!

If you love watching s*umbags (including fake families and petty thieves) get what they deserve—brutally and without mercy—this novel is for you. True Heiress of the '70s: After Crushing Scum, I Transmigrated to the Countryside delivers eye-for-an-eye justice and a healthy dose of revenge in the most cathartic way possible. No drawn-out frustrations, no secondhand embarrassment—just pure, unfiltered payback. It's a deeply gratifying read.

What makes it even more impactful is the contrast between the original host and the current MC. The body our MC transmigrates into once... more>> belonged to a truly tragic character—a girl crushed by the ruthless world around her. Abandoned by her cold, biological parents, exploited by a greedy foster family, and tormented by a manipulative green tea heroine, she was the definition of a victim.

Seeing the MC step into her shoes and flip the script is incredibly satisfying. Suddenly, all those who once stepped on her are bleeding—literally and figuratively. And while the MC's absurd luck (especially that inheritance in chapter one) might make you raise an eyebrow or two, it only adds to the fun. She's clearly a "Daughter of Heaven"—and we're just along for the ride.

Also worth mentioning: the translation is readable, reasonably clear, and quite clean. It's easy to follow the story without getting distracted by awkward phrasing or confusing grammar, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.

I'm only at chapter 17, but I'm already hooked. I'll definitely update this review as I go deeper. Hope you enjoy it as much as I am! <<less
