This novel is just full of fluffiness. There are so many cute side characters, or should I say Shippers in the story and they are adorable.

Spoiler

This is a transmigration novel. The original MC did not come to the CEO to present a child (I think she's pregnant then) but the childhood friend/CEO did not believe her. The CEO is not the dad, though.

The original owner of the body is too nice and s*upid, I think. She saved the CEO from a fire when she was 13 and she was badly burnt and had to take long treatments and plastic surgery for it, and didn't mention it to the CEO because her parents told her to keep it a secret. This is when the CEO started making her life sh*t because he thought somebody else saved him and he thought the original owner of the body left him to study dancing when he almost died. And she died miserably in the end. And this CEO easily believed it when somebody claimed he saved him from a fire, he didn't even investigate, when years later, he investigated and found the truth easily.

[collapse]

What I really like in this novel is that there's a lot of fluff but they are not cringy. Both the MC and ML are straightforward characters. Little Luo Luo, their kid is a cute tsundere. The ML's father and the fengshui master are so cute as shippers of the OTP. The MC is a koi fish, she brings a lot of luck, and the ML gets most of that luck (He always picks up money from the ground after touching her). The MC also helps struggling businesses and artists by blessing them with luck, but the story made sure that those who recieved luck were hardworking and talented as well, they just need some good luck to help them.

There's no revenge here. Although the MC of the novel she transmigrated in is evil and got her just desert, Moyu (the MC) did not cause her any misfortune. She kinda did it to herself, and all the bad guys got their repercussions. The CEO childhood friend got some regrets. I do like that he decided to investigate after the Moyu gave him some hints that people are lying to him, and discovered that it was Moyu who saved him from that fire, which proved that it could have been easily resolved if only he used his head and not his smaller head. He tried to pursue Moyu after but it's too late. He stopped pursuing her after he saw that she's really with the ML. No additional drama there, but it showed how he regretted it and missed the times he spent with Moyu when they were younger.

I like the ML. He's straightforward, he gets close to her, tried to advise her in acting, did not push her to do s*xual acts with him, eventhough they already have a kid (in her mind, she's still 18 years old, because she's 18 when she migrated, although the body is already 23; and she kinda feels like he's an uncle, too old for her (he's 27)). He tried to protect her and did not find her weird eventhough she kept posing like a Daoist priest with her son to bless other people with good fortune. He's not those typical arrogant, brooding ML, he's cute when he's doting on her and playing with their kid. While Father Ye, his dad, invests in movies just to provide opportunities for the OTP to have more interactions to nurture a relationship. He really wants Moyu to be his daughter in law because of good feng shui (because in the original plot, Peicheng, the ML had some really bad fate/ending, and it changed to good fortune when he met the MC) <<less

Pretty cliche with no major conflicts in the plot.

Read this if you just wanna get your fill of a romance that’s satisfying.

I read this for the childcare tag and wasn’t disappointed.

I wanna rate it 3.5 stars.
3 for the story overall and the 0.5 simply for the well written baby.

Things I like:
- while she's unreasonably lucky at least it's explained un like in other transmigration novels.
Spoiler

by her koi physic

[collapse]
- The fact the she ended up with
Spoiler

Ye Peicheng. It wouldn't make sence for her to end up with Xiao Yichen because of the way he treated the original host. It would just make her look too forgiving and him look like he never really loved her and chose her just because she saved him in the past.

[collapse]
- Her interaction with her son. They were so cute.

Things I didn't like
- Xiao Wanshuang/yushouang (used intrenchangebly for some reseason) and Qiao Ruohuan and to some extend Xiao Yichen sometime made s*upid decisions in what felt like an easy way to drive the plot forward. It just made it hard to belive a real person would do the things they did.
Spoiler

The list include how fast both the Xiao siblings change their opinion on Qiao Moyu the moment they found out that Qiao Ruohuan lied to them without considering the objectively terrible things the original host did (like drugging and trying to r*pe one of them). And the fact that Qiao Ruohuan cheat on Xiao Yichen with Ye Peiqing for no reason.

[collapse]

- It was too long. The translated version is 230 (extremely shorts) chapters. I think the story could've been told with 150 chapters or even less.

- The translation quality isn't the best. So It's something that will bother you I wouldn't recommend it.

- I really didn't like the why the author handled drugs, s*x, homosexuality and HIV. The biggest offender came 10 chapters before the ending otherwise I would've probably dropped it.

Good read but the whole pretending to be some cultivator bullsh*t totally ruined it for me so I dropped it at C85.

The novel itself is very predictable, at the start they want you to think who might be the kids dad, but a blind person could guess it pretty much instantly when the father comes up.

Nothing new.

This is one of those rare novels whose end results is greater than the sum of its parts.

If I were to break it down, I'd say the plot is a 3.5/5, the characterisations are 4/5, the timing and pace are 3.8/5, world-building is 3/5, and the translation is 5/5, however, the odd thing is, when combined, this novel's actual quality is a solid 5/5. It delivers a very satisfying read. Much like a Disney movie, what it lacks in plot and execution it more than delivers with reader satisfaction.

Somehow when... more>> everything comes together it meshes perfectly. The parts that are lacking bolster each other up, and pad out each other's weaknesses.

The romance is built in fits and bursts, along with character growth and friendship, and the characters aren't limited to only romance, I found that the little bits of humour and side friendships were very fun to read, and they helped build a foundation for what was previously a very weak romantic start. The familial overtones were a delight to read, and I'm pretty sure the interactions between the MC, the ML, and the baby not only elevated every aspect of this novel, but were also some of my favourite scenes.

Even though this novel is pretty much a game of spot the cliché, it manages to present them with a very fresh attitude, and it was very fun to experience. The angst is minimal, the fluff is abundant, there are smatterings of humour, and even a dash of mystery, with a subtle thread of supernatural world-building.

Also, any novel with a female MC with these kind of martial arts moves is automatically a winner in my book. <<less

The overwhelmingly good reviews convinced me to give this novel another try, this time I was willing to give it at least 30 chapter before judgment, plus I was super bored so why not....I can see why some people have enjoyed this novel but honestly I was soo bored....i dont know exactly what it is, there was definitely enough contrived drama thrown in to constantly keep you on your toes but everything seemed to resolved too easily and in the female leads favor constantly, and the author did her autmsot... more>> to make the FL interesting and cool but its more of telling than showing, mostly I just didnt like nor care enough about the characters to continue with the story. Not the worst but not deserving of all the hype. <<less

Very average. The romance went too smoothly and I even felt like Moyu was forced into a relationship rather than actually consenting to it. Of course, later we found out about her true feelings but I still didn't like ML's pushiness. There wasn't too much drama and I didn't find it interesting at all.

Not to mention, the author really tried hard to paint out the MC as amazing and heroic through unrealistic scenarios. The story was overly-saturated and dramatic for no reason- and yet, it was still boring! Maybe I'm... more>> just not a fan of these types of light novels after all.. <<less

I got to say, you should give a try this novel.. When I read the summary, I really got no motivation to read it at all, but as the other short and interesting novel I have read are done, only then I give this a try.

The story is really good, as the summary never mention the FL is a bless alive koi, as she could bring luck and bless to other people as she want or through touching her.

I will tell here, the ML is not the childhood friend ok,... more>> it the other person. And I really have a fun reading when I read this novel. The chapter is long, but as you read it, you gonna realize it not too long as the story is fun and interesting. Give it a try ok!! <<less

This is a very good novel. I do find the trope where when someone transports to a novel world and then all of the sudden, the villain/villainess is secretly good and the heroine is evil kinda annoying... like... seriously....

Like, the heroine of the original story who was supposed to be a good person is now a b*tch, and the villainess was originally just a psycho obsessed with the main hero all of the sudden had a hidden backstory not in the novel making her actually good...

This kinda trope I feel... more>> is kind of a lazy way to make the villainess seem sympathetic and make us not root for the original stories heroine...

But, if you ignore that flaw, this is a very cute and nice novel... <<less

I love it. Period. 8.5/10 would read again.

hey kids !!! Usually I do like a super-in-depth review or whatever but I just loved this novel so much that I didn't even bother.
Spoiler

at first, I was terrified that the FL would end up with the CEO, but thank god she didn't! I appreciate that the CEO does accept it, and it's kinda sad to watch him take the Film Emperor's original ending and be lonely while reminiscing his memories with the FL. Kinda cute ngl.

[collapse]

anyway, the characters were amazing and I love that the author includes the Weibo fanposts and little things like that. Makes it all the more realistic. This was recommended to me through Wattpad so thank you to @SafeHime.

It's kinda cliche, transmigration, entertainment circle, oriFL turns to be an antagonist and the lead chara were OP, but this novel is still one of my fave. One of the reason is that she did not end up with the ahole childhood friend! I repeat this is not your usual cnovel where the FL would end up with the b@stard oriML, instead she found her true love whilst having a cute little bun on the side. Second thing I like is the ML, tho cold and indifferent, he was not... more>> arrogant, not using connection and power to force Moyu, he doesn't trample on others, all in all hes not an S rank ahole unlike other ML in cnovels. Third is the bun and his paternal grandpa. And last is the quality of the translation. <<less

I saw that the rating spread was impressive (<10% of users rated this 1 or 2 stars).

There's nothing wrong with cliche developments; the problem is how these cliches are executed. This is such a shallow series. Was the author in middle school?

A fun read.

Don't expect much from the story in terms of characters or the plot, it definitely follows the typical clichés of any romance C-novel. However, I enjoyed reading this one compared to many of the others I've read (Avoid the Protagonist, The Male Lead's Substitute Wife etc.), some of the scenes involving fans and ML's dad actually made me laugh.

I like it at first but when the MC and ML started dating it kinda went downhill. There's a lot of fillers too like comments of netizens when I mean a lot its a lot like author can you stop it already. I was hoping more interaction between CEO & MC. I believe CEO did not suffer enough for being a douchebag.

The title is a little misleading but the novel is nice, fluffy, good plot.

the most important part is the new soul sympathize with the original and not like a lot of kind of transmigration novel where they keep comparing between the two souls which is ridiculous.

I liked the beginning, but ever since they started dating, the novel has started to drag, and I haven't managed to read it. They really should have ended it right there, when they original bad guys have been properly dealt with, and the secret father has been mostly revealed. It seems to be gearing up to add another villain whom I have absolutely no attachment to. Also, while ML's courting of MC was cute, it doesn't seem like their relationship will do much for me.

Personally I think I'm going to... more>> firmly tell myself the book ended with them dating, and there was never anymore. <<less
