Lin Xiao Ci transmigrated as the female villain in a novel in ancient times.

In order to get close to the male lead, her character has walked the path of seeking death. She decided to stay away from the male lead and his family and cherish her life.

So she quickly prepared the divorce papers and delivered them to the male lead who had been set up by the original villain to marry her.

“Husband, I would like to turn over a new leaf. In the past, I have used you and I have wronged you. Now, I will return your freedom to you”

But the man, instead of being joyful, tore the divorce papers into pieces and fiercely said, “Dream on!”

Hard pass for me.
Spoiler

MC seems like she's a cool character. However, the ML is a rapist. It's "okay" because she's his wife and b*tchy and proud. (Barf) I guess the author think that 's a r*pe worthy offense. (Barf)

This is supposed to be a romantic comedy?

First thing : The ML is NOT a rapist !!
- this is not a big spoiler, and not telling so could stop you from reading : this point is a misunderstanding that won’t last 10 chapters, but that will give them a bad start...

the MC Is interesting, she feels like an average modern person, and for once, she does not feel to adequate and the cultural difference do clash a big bit. Despite that, she’s got feminist principles, but she is not willful otherwise... This is the most... more>> things so far. As far as transmigration goes, she’s as clueless as can be and discovering the « original » bad past, is part of the plot, so adjusting and guessing and surviving the events can keeps her on her toes in multiple manners

the ML is a massive overpowered tsun tsun, without too much dere dere to be seen. He’s a man of his time : badly sexist

on the minus : so much difference between the two doesn’t feel too great, he looks down on her for multiple reasons and they might need time to become sweet

after that, it’s very bad with Mt, and it’s probably going to be on the (Very?) long side. There are a lot of military protagonist, and war, which is not necessarily a thematic you’ll like.
It still feels like a big introduction with about three to four plots so far, and by what I understood... I’d give it a 3.5... because it might get long, but the bad mi doesn’t help :)

(i also didn’t see any explicit smut so far (but could really be later)) <<less

Dont judging book at chapter 4. If you forced to marriage a women that love your brother you will also behave like that. But I thought that not r*pe because women is his rightful Wife maybe is considering violence because that women reputation is suck and still use her family power to force married. Where got men can take that insult but I think that story start to develop into right direction.

I love the MC. It's sad that it stopped at ch4. I really want to read more.

For the ML, I don't think it's the r*pe, there might be some misunderstanding of FL.

I don't know if the series is discontinued because the RAWs remain at ch64 since 2020.

I'm not sure why the topic of r*pe arose. Frankly, the FL wakes up in the body of a host who just woke up after her wedding night. Where was the r*pe?

There's an unclear facts that the reason for the marriage that it was basically a shotgun wedding because the both were caught in some sort of scandalous affair due to some aphrodisiac drugs and etc. But it was never really clarified because the ML... more>> is practically the number 1 martial artist general and has a deep background with drugs. So how could he fall into such a trap? So the whole event looks like either a plan from the bad guys or even the good guys. It's not clear, and the FL has no clue about the original hosts memories. Since we don't know what happened during the wedding night, we can really call it r*pe because it's the expected wedding night. Other than that event with the original host. The FL and ML haven't done anything since. So, as far as the reader is aware of, there has been no r*pe.

Even if the series has discontinued, I probably would not have lasted much longer and dropped it soon. The FL is super annoying and immature. She was in her 20's before the novel transmigration, and her host's body is 15.

Unlike many other novel transmigrations, the FL isn't aware if this world is a novel. Actually, it's never explained if this new world is a novel or not. We only know it's a novel from the summary.

Like I mentioned, the FL is absolutely immature for her age. She doesn't want to have a child after her wedding night, so she goes to hunt down some poisonous weed to prevent pregnancy because she heard about it from some C-drama she watched. Of course, the weed turns out not only to prevent pregnancy but to prevent even life. The entire time, the FL is really too s*upid to live. She does super immature things like trying to trip her kick her martial artist husband, talk back s*upidly to everyone, sneak out of a banquet and go fishing, and etc.

I'm sorry to say, while the FL is not mean, but she's just not FL material, and is downright annoying with or comeback phrases and slangs. No matter if it's modern times or ancient times, there are still general standards of politeness and etiquette. Burping and eating sloppily during meals, and etc. The author tries to play down that the FL was originally still a college student, but really, she's in her 20's. How dumb can she be?

Unlike many other transmigration stories, this FL has no clue on the characters or the novel plot of the story, and has not skills whatsoever to contribute to bring the plot forth. She's a basic ditz with no skills in education, martial artis, strategy, or any arts. She can't even understand and read much of the written language. She also behaves like a spoiled brat every where.

And then there is the ML who really does not behave like a person from ancient times. He's written like a 1-dimensional character with no depth. We really only suspect that he always liked the original host since young.

Both the plot and the characters didn't appear to go anywhere. In fact the villainous female was more interesting than the FL. We never understood why the villainous female always targeted the original host either.

I don't recommend anyone to start the series, because it's clearly written like an armature, and because there is no ending I could find for the novel. <<less

So far I like it. Misunderstanding aside for now, the story seems interesting but I can't judge yet. MC seems reasonable and there's already a thot showing herself wanting to be slayed so I guess more than anything, I'm looking forward to that.
