Hi, I am the translator here!

While it may not be the best, this novel is a good childcare novel. The MC and ML are both good. And this novel is partly set in the business world.

Spoiler

The fake daughter had known since the age of 8 that she was not the real daughter of the Su Family and she spread rumors about Xu Xiaoqi at school. Zhang Lei and Xu Qianqian are pieces of tr*sh that won't repent. MC and ML are cool and they are both divorced.

[collapse]

All in all, it is 5/5 for me.

Edit: I like the fact that this story also tells about a child's insecurities.

Spoiler

Su Jingxi (previously she was named Xu Xiaoqi but now she changed her name and surname) in her mind, often thinks about Su Jingxiu's (Her name will be changed to Zhang Jingxiu) life, her dresses she wore, how she looked like a fairy in birthday party while she couldn't even eat proper meals. She feels it's selfish of her to think like that when her real family loves her very much. When MC brought her to a shopping mall, she hesitated to pick expensive dresses. Also, SJX is a good teammate of the ML.

This is a good novel but I don't know why so many people gave it 1 star. There are not many face slapping's in this novel, and whatever face slapping's were there, they were only in the first half of the novel and in the second half there were basically none.

When the MC realised that her ex-husband's first love swapped babies she tried to see things from the swapped baby's perspective and tried to be understanding and tried to made baby feel that she was loved. I liked this part... more>> very much.

THERE IS NO LOVE TRIANGLE, only after reaching the end of the book did I realise that there is no love triangle in the entire novel for an character. This is shocking I mean these love triangles have became so cliché that finding a book without them is shocking!!

when I reached the end I was blank for a while, because the story was going in a constant pace and suddenly the author breaks the flow and tells us it's the end. I felt that the author ended the story hastily and there were no extra. Not only did the author didn't mention the ending of various characters but also didn't explain few things such as: the ending of original ML and FL, what happened to the MC's ex-husband, did the original FL and ML blacken or not, why did the original FL and ML stopped being friends and so on.

You can read this easily in MTL. The author loved to narrate since there is more narration in any chapter than the dialogues, so I skimmed many chapters.

Overall I would say that you can read this if you have plenty of time. <<less

Giving 3 stars for now because I haven't read the full novel. Probably won't be the best novel out there, but definitely doesn't deserve an arsehole 1 star on just the first chapter. Whichever damned bots who automatically give 1 star just for its cliche premise and plot from summary, should just continue reading your OP harem shounen and not be reading romance novels.

Might edit this review once I've finished reading the whole novel, but to the 1 star bot, you should self destruct early.

[Edit] Actually finished reading the whole... more>> novel a while ago but I got busy and forgot. In total it deserved at least 3.5 stars from me I have to applaud MC because she honestly doesn't think about retaliating on her adopted daughter at first, she just wants to slowly be alienated from her because she knows and understand that sooner or later she won't be able to be fair in regards to the two girls. Therefore, she tries to cut things off subtly but decisively.

MC tried to be a supportive and caring mother, constantly giving her children the support and advice they need, and also took into consideration about her children's feelings by actually having proper talk and discussion with her children especially about the future of the family. This is a good point. On the romance side, MC and ML are both mutually mature people with normal thinking process. I do like the fact that ML doesn't really try to butter up to MC's children in order to get them to like him as their future father, but try to guide them like a proper role model in life. Unfortunately, MC and ML's som somehow had a genetic mutation to become a black bellied teenager. Of course there's plothole in the novel, buy I won't care much about that since MC, ML, and their children live happily in the ending. In total it deserved at least 3.5 stars from me. <<less

3.5 stars

The story is quite unique because it tells a story of a switched at birth trope from a mother's perspective. The romance is dealt with maturity, which is appropriate for the age of MC and ML. Hence, there's not much fluff. There's not much going on with the plot as well.

It's a little off-putting that MC ruthlessly cut off her relationship with the false daughter. Even if she was from a parallel world and she doesn't have cultivated feelings, she was still ruthless to a child. That's like a... more>> formula to creating a villain in the future. Thankfully though there's a twist that somehow removes the guilt. (See MissEnigma12's spoiler)

I will disagree with what bulls420 said about ML being a spare tire. At first, MC is indeed more attracted to Lin Fan. However, it's been stated explicitly that Lin Fan feels that MC is seeing another person through him. MC already put down her attraction because she doesn't like him that much. She's more than willing to pursue a relationship with ML because she likes him, not because she did not get Lin Fan. <<less

It's an okay novel. Not a lot happened and I found myself simply skimming the chapters which is a sign that it's not that captivating and I would probably forget this story. I really enjoy written slice of life stories and is always disappointed when it ends, but this one was just so-so.

I wish there were more interactions with her kids and the ending was quite abrupt, with literally not a word on the things that were foreshadowed (her ex-husband disappearing, OrigFL & OrigML)

TLDR 3.5 stars rounded to 4 A pleasant read with a weak ending and somewhat weak plot

If you like switched at birth as a genre, this is an interesting changeup. The story is told from the mother's POV. It;s her story of taking decisive action to deal with the rotten plot of the novel she has transmigrated into. The biggest problem is that she deals with everything about a 1/3rd of the way through and then the novel just coasts along till the end.

The book does get bonus points for... more>> the author's comments. Her anecdotes about house hunting, buying a car with her husband (brainwashing each other) and her daughter in kindergarten were all good fun, and welk worth the read. <<less

Not a bad novel at all yet I can't rate this high because of how anticlimactic it is. It has some sweet moments with childcare and cute characters. The MC is satisfactory, an ideal for a modern independent female adult with children. She's headstrong, opinionated and know exactly how to navigate and decide for her life, both in career and relationships. The ML is family oriented and very caring. The way the author decided to add the transmigration element with a more parallel world outlook was smartly used to solidify... more>> the MC's world view and her care for her immediate family.

Not the best in this particular genre with very clichéd progression of instances as well as an extremely rushed ending that leaves you unsatisfied as it doesn't fully give you the picture of all how the life of the various characters progresses in depth and in most cases doesn't follow through at all. Minimal emotion entanglement, drama and face slapping. It has no weibo talk which I appreciated a lot.

Not one I would recommend but the novel certainly doesn't have any strong enough no-nos to disuade potential readers. <<less

I think it deserves a higher score. The divorce happened fast and the ex-husband is really powerless against her because they are rich. He didn't cheat during the marriage but cheated before marriage, making it thee reason for the divorce. I feel a little frustrated because I can't find the extras in any mtl sites. I do feel a little sorry for the fake daughter because she was completely thrown away by the FL, I think she kinda deserves it because she knew she's the fake daughter for years and... more>> so bullied the real daughter, so you'd say she's a little evil.

The ML is not a rebound. The FL is not in love with the ex-husband because she's not the real one. She had a crush with the tutor but not really because it was the tutor's counterpart in the original world she has a crush in and not this one. Although ML and FL met through a set-up by their dads, they did fall in love with each other by themselves without any outside pressure. And finally, the children were handled well. She gave them enough love and attention to help them grow up well and secure. <<less

I quite like it. There's not much drama and the romance isn't the focus in this story. I like the MC and her personality, and even though the ML was more in the background I liked him as well.

Oh, and I have to point this out but there is an extra side story that talks about the ending of the ex, the OFL and her mom, but it's not available in every mtl sites so be careful about that.

I just brought this up because many complained about the ending and... more>> how it's not satisfactory, but that's most likely because they missed the extra side stories. So, don't be afraid of an abrupt ending because there's no such thing here. <<less

It’s a light and cute story. The romance isn’t strong as it’s more focused on how FL try to get rid of her husband and gain control of her life. But it’s interesting.

not much going on here, exactly as it says on the ton. Not too much drama? More about raising children. The ending was slightly abrupt but the extras are quite good in showing how the children grew up imo.

wish there was a little more drama and face slapping lol.

but otherwise an easy read though not the most exciting or funny
