well it’s so-so, but somehow the plot and tension is bit boring and repetitive. Usually this type novel consist with perfect-like character that felt unlogical. The MC too OP without enough logic points. His face is the world’s most handsome face.

hmm i’m disapointed with the progress OP-ing the MC. Clearly he was dropped-out at middle school with his pathetic reason pursue his music dreams with no hardwork. At first he realize how pathetic he is, so dumb so I think he will work harder more than anyone, but what I... more>> got is “luck” “good look is fortune” I clearly not saw how he learns, obsessed with learning, make up with his highschool. It’s just few line how he with his ‘godlike abillity’ came to realization after paragraphs of depression and thinking. The theory of the music and acting itself lack a lot. When it comes producing the music at least someone has some knowlodge or academy teaching about composing, etc. But he is just midle school graduate heyy? How can he producing an album himself, with just few sentences of

“ lee gun woo fast learner like a sponge” I feel like with his ‘self cultivation power’ he can do anything like singing, acting, learning, charismatic. Okay I think its ok if cultivation will affect to his physical body and martial arts.

too much exposure. I dont know if because the title itself named top star so the MC got too much exposure, I cant rest. Everytime he got rank 1 top trending. Its okay if it’s about new music or new movie. But his fandom clearly too obsessed and more like cult. His image making is mysterious but he always got caught sudden fan meeting. Everytime he goes always sign up, smile, take a photo, repetitive. Oh yeah I feel bad for one cannon fodder, I clearly feel the author intention for the MC to step-stone this cannonfodder that will make MC shines more.

he is clearly genius musician, but proud peacock, already world famous. He’s grumpy, prideful, well he has big ego because he is genius. He’s trying disturb the rehearsal arrangements for MC because his top1 position pushed back by MC. The MC got bad impression for him, but later jedman wants to be fans to MC because MC good singing skill, but MC coldly replied.

what makes me sad is when he is always thought MC is his rival so he try to concert on korea with his new album that already top 1. The album describing his love at first sight on Jinhee (MC friend) but the girl love MC. But MC released his new album that got booming everywhere quickly took 1 place pushed jedman. Lot of jedman’s concert audience refund the ticket, so when he perform in korea, what greeted him only empty venue.

i know he is rude, make mistake, prideful. But you know its kind of hurt when there was no one at the venue. Its not MC fault but u clearly feel the feeling step-stoned. Clearly jedman already have numerous album, but just because a one single newcomer musician with handsome face released his first album, jedman career crushed shamefully

[/jedman]

i hope the author do more research at the theory. I dont have any excuse but compared it with God’s song, Devil music. I got what it means a genius looks like <<less

The story isn't meant to be "realistic" so I can accept how there are overly exaggerated scenes.

If you're not fond/aware of how Koreans can be shallow yet terribly critical just don't read this as you're prolly gonna be pissed a number of times. (Not to generalize cause not everyone is like that ofc)

  • Why are his good looks so heavily emphasized? Korea has their own set of standards of beauty which are quite heavily imposed though things are less heavy nowadays and beauty is subjective a lot of times people still feel pressured to follow them and (ofc) very rarely do they see people reaching that standard so the reaction of ppl towards the MC isn't actually too far off to how ppl would prolly treat him irl if he exists.
  • Why do they keep having the MC solve problems/ have Superman moments? Because (plot and) netizens turn their back on these celebrities as fast as they fell in love with their face. These Idols&Celebes are expected to be "perfect" or at least imperfectly perfect as public figures.
Im not only talking about this story but in Korean stories in general esp those set in the modern times you gotta keep in mind that they have a different culture and social life structure. Read this if you're not one to sweat... more>> small details and have time to kill, it's not bad but also not the best. <<less

This is a fun varient of the modern cultivation stories. The MC wanted to become a famous musician, but wasn't that talented, and definitely didn't want to work too hard. As he's about ready to give up on music he gets injured saving someone, and remembers some of his past life as a cultivator. The MC decides to turn his life around, starting with helping his Mom. He goes back to help his mom with her small restaurant, and starts training again. He uses a different martial art that focused... more>> on the physical body and emotions, since sword cultivation isn't much use in modern society. As the story progresses the MC becomes a successful actor and musician, which is fun to read. But the unusual part, for most cultivation stories anyway, is that the MC actually has character growth, and decides that he doesn't need to focus on cultivation; instead he focuses on the people he cares about, and using his abilities to help people.

Obviously this won't appeal to everyone, but I really like a character who, after realizing that money and fame aren't everything, then realizes that reaching the peak of cultivation isn't everything either. (Especially as the only cultivator) It makes the MC a lot more human in my book, since taking that next step would probably cut him off from the people he cares about. Yes, the MC becomes very OP, but it works, and he never becomes perfect. There are the occasional antagonists, but it's mostly about the personal growth of the MC. It ends up making for a warm and fuzzy kind of story, something that's really uncommon when paired with cultivation. <<less

The amount of telling over showing in this novel is so incredibly vast. The descriptions of his actions as well are both incredibly long and vague af. The dialogue like its descriptions can be caricature -like, fulfilling the concept that probably no one is real except for the MC.

This is not an entertainment novel because the description of any scene is incomprehensible or just nonexistent or barely existent. It does focus a lot on people admiring him if you consider that to be all that entertainment novels have to do..... more>> This is a "superpower" as a martial arts thing novel with an incredibly strong MC halo - so much so that the characters actually describe it about him shining smh lol

Tbh it feels like a regular enjoyer of the entertainment scene wrote this rather than an actual insider or knowledgeable person about entertainment. That's the depth of writing that's here. It's almost like a fanfic of the Korean entertainment scene and martial arts with a past life excuse for a superpower to make up for the author's lack of ability to write about entertainment or martial arts.

If you see all this and do not care he is op af, the writing is mediocre or honestly borderline flowery language from another dimension, and he can do anything by just leaning on one spiritual martial arts move, then you can find it enjoyable to see him be good looking and popular & a superhero (??????). I guess. <<less
