I have just noticed that this novel has no reviews so I'm going to have to do it some justice. First of, one of my current favorites. It's definitely not your cup of tea if you're into fluff novels or generally those with good mls. Both these people are twisted and they've contributed to doing it to the other's mind. The suspense keeps you engaged and the chapters deliver amazing writing. The current arc being translated is very very good and all in all I 100% recommend it if you're looking for a break from typical transmigration novels. Probably the best novel I have ever dropped. It is fascinating, like watching a slow motion car crash. The mystery, misery, violence, kindness; I have no idea where it was going and struggle to take my eyes off it.

But ultimately this isn't my cup of tea, and the horror won out over the fascination. But if you like yandere, horror, complex relationships, then I think there is a gem here for you.

This is truly an incredible story but, unfortunately, I think this is one of those web novels where it would have been better in Korean. I felt a lot of the dialogue or nuances of the story couldn't be properly conveyed in the translation. This is not to bash the translator team. They tried their best and, although the translation starts off a bit rocky, it does gets dramatically better around chapter 10. I think some stories just are better told in the native language.

All the characters are morally gray, able to express tender kindness but also incredible madness. The FL transmigrated into a novel as a maid. Knowing that her employers were going to be killed, she tries to escape but is captured by the ML. The ML is a beautiful psycho who goes through cycles of madness and kindness. At the ML's mansion, the FL is forced to learn to kill and takes poison that makes her blood so toxic she can burn people's tongues off by kissing them. It's a horrible time for the FL, but here she also starts to learn about her character's past and starts to question the storyline of the novel and who is really good and bad. As another reviewer mentioned, it's like watching a slow moving car crash, you can't take your eyes off it.

The story has so much potential, but unfortunately I have dock points because it was a bit confusing at some parts.
