This novel is ridiculously Mary Sue and yet not in that the Xu Wanzhi is meant to have OP magic powers, but she can't use them because of the ML's presence, so she literally has no power. But her Mary Sue-ness comes out in that she can do a lot of suspicious things and no one ever suspects her.

Basically she is in a contract relationship with the ML, show up at events as his girlfriend and she gets money and work opportunities. Since she wants to earn his trust and not get killed by him, the first thing she does is to forfeit her payment?!?! If I was the ML, I would find that even more suspicious and not trust her! Cause if you don't take the money, that means you want something else right? His shares? His IP? To sabotage him? How is she even a 500 year old demon with this kind of brain?

I don't like him at all, I know he is meant to be a yandere possessive character, but it's ridiculous how he's acting. He casts judgement on where the MC goes out, what she wears, who she meets and what she does, EVEN when they are not together and he doesn't need her as a shield.

This isn't a love relationship! Why are you acting like the MC should love you and trust you, even when you blatantly don't and send friends out to check on her and report back on her for you? Where's the reciprocation? Any love relationship would also break in the face of this.

Also I don't blame the original MC at all for abandoning him and looking for new sponsors. It's basically a work contract, her presence in return for money. Will you continue working for a company that went bankrupt and can no longer pay you, no matter how nice (or not) the boss was to you? Since he already had her payment set aside safely for her, he should have told her beforehand so she wouldn't have gone to look for a new job. Is it her fault she needs money and people think she is his 'girlfriend' and thus cheating on him?

The male lead only found out about her identity as a fox towards the end where she saves his life. They did not get into a proper relationship until that point. Although the male lead always expresses his feelings towards the female lead, the female lead did not do the same because of her identity as a fox holding her back. They only removed this block in the relationship at the end of the story. Hence, the readers did not get much chance to read through their romance as an official couple.

The FL is supposed to be a 500-year-old fox demon, but she acts more like a naive teenage girl in your typical shoujo manga. She's a bit of a doormat, especially when it comes to the ML. You would expect someone in her age and with life experience to be more mature, steady, and, even without power, confident.

Meanwhile, the ML is just too contradictory and controlling. He expects her, the FL, to be loving toward him, but they were never in a love relationship in the first place. He's also supposed to be smart, and yet he doesn't question the drastic change in the FL's personality. Plus, I was already in the 106th chapter and still know nothing about his plans to revive his business.

A kiss in a club where... huhuhu let me tell you something good. It starts on ch. 114 when Mu ZhenYu's assistant reports that the MC went to an underground bar that ChenYi was at, and our ML rushed over >XD, and ch. 116 is when our ML (Mu ZhenYu) arrives at the bar and sees our MC slap ChenYi, he walks over and WAHAHA "claims" the MC (It was allowed).

THE KISS WILL NOT BE SATISFYING TO YOU (THE READER) UNLESS YOU KNOW THE BACKGROUND. Read the story, learn their relationship, understand the situation between ChenYi and the MC. The kiss is amazing haha BUT only if you read the story. Otherwise, it's just a steamy kiss between two characters and misses that satisfying feeling.
