Well.... There is not really much to say about this story.

It is very short. No character development or story that would be engaging. It's almost like it is a description of a novel. Like, if you wanted to describe your story succinctly, this would have been the way you described it. But it just ended up being the story itself.

It could have been the rushed start to a ghost or zombie revenge story. Or a reincarnation novel. Instead, it's just.... There.

Not really something to read. It's kind of unfuilfiling and... more>> disappointing. <<less

My review contains my own personal opinions, so if you want to read it without the influence of another's thoughts beforehand, please go read the story before you look at my review.

Maybe it's just me (and my Eliza-obsessed self), but the setting reminded me of Eliza. Except here, the protagonist is much less flawed, being amazing at both the feminine and masculine arts of the medieval times. The story tries to point out the s*xism of an era that mirrors Europe's own medieval times, but the protagonist's unawareness contradicts her... more>> own capacities stated outright in the novel. It undermines the message. I wish there was at least an attempt to make her less of a contradiction and more of a realistic character fitting to her setting, but I guess that's too much to ask. The appearance of the mother was new, but nothing much was done with it anyways.

There's so much left unexplored, plot holes everywhere, and too many questions left unanswered. Apparently this is a part of a series, not just a one-shot, but I'm judging it as it's translated here. No complaints about the translations though; the group knows what they're doing. I'm thankful for their work.

If the full series ever gets translated, I may change my rating, but as a standalone one-shot, this isn't much. <<less

It's an atypical story that stands out brightly from the other run of the mill villainess reincarnation stories.

But it's a tragedy. It is sad. I would have given 5 stars for both the story as well as the translation except I dislike tragic endings. So 4 star it is. I wish the one shot was turned into a short story with before and after consequences though.

This story is a sloppy plagiarized combination of "Destruction Flag Otome" and "Common Sense of a Duke's Daughter" with a bad ending. It goes so far as to use names and events from both stories, but tries to alter them a little to avoid suspicion. It even came out the year after both of them. It also throws a little of the elements of "Eliza" into it.

Trust me, this is a waste of time. You're better off reading the aforementioned series and staying far away from this dumpster fire of... more>> a story. <<less
