Nothing special, if you like two minute mysteries you may enjoy this. The story does do a nice job of subverting the villainess genre and turning some of the big tropes on their head. Unfortunately there wasn't enough to really dig in and I didn't think there was enough rigor in the mystery.

Call it 3 stars for being readable and different.

This is a classic mystery story where love turned into hate that resorted to mu*der. The mystery vibe wasn't that intense since it was just oneshot story and the culprit was revealed rather quickly. This story was somehow different from many other otome game story and it's quite enjoyable but it wasn't enough for me to give it 5 stars because:

The culprit's motive was too shallow and a bit didn't make sense. He had a high authority but he didn't use it for his advantage and instead made a hugh blunder by directly killing the victim.

It's not exactly Sherlock Holmes, but I'll give credit where it's due: the evidence WAS revealed to us before the detective's final analysis. A lot of 'mystery novels' reveal a key bit of evidence the detective found that wasn't revealed to the reader/viewer until the unveiling, so they can be surprised and impressed like the characters in the story rather than being able to actively solve the mystery along with the detective. Detective Conan is really bad about this at times, much as I love it.

Sure, the twist in this... more>> is predictable, and the story is extremely short, but I think there can still be fun found in this by mystery lovers. When the scene changes from the detective banging her head on the table lightly, her assessment will begin. For the mystery lovers out there, pause your reading, scroll up, and go over the story again, from the mu*der scene to the suspects. The story itself is already 5 minutes at most, so you may as well spend a couple more to try and solve it, right? <<less
